Just thought id put this in here: I've been managing various forums and communities for around 8-9 years now, using forum software such as: phpbb, vBulletin and IPB. I know that the DayZ forums uses "myBB", which i haven't really used all that much, but shouldn't be a problem getting the hang of pretty fast. I am 31 years of age, live in Norway (land of the vikings) and I am fairly active on the forums on a daily basis. Should you guys need a helping hand or have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via a PM. :)

You would need a solid trade system in order to make it work.

I think the system worked better prior to 1.5.8. Having to go searching for wood in towns just doesn't feel "realistic". I'm not having a go here, just want to put my 5c in there.

Sorta reminds me of last night on "Dallas 8", I was just east of Zelenogorsk. Needed some water, so tried to locate the well i knew was inside the town. Didn't find it, but instead 12 zombies found me. Ended up getting caught inside a barricade, only to die out when i accidentally swapped my Makarov for a flare. Oh well, at least those zombies could see something while they chewed up the remains of my body.

Sorta reminds me a bit more like the ending of "Blair Witch Project", people just standing there with their backs towards you. First time, it just freaked me the hell out. :P

After roaming the fields of Chernarus hunting for men and wabbits for years, performing around the island with Cherno Circus (lighting myself on fire and flinging myself from a catapult) my hairs got grayer and my legs got wearier. Now two weeks later, my gray hairs seems to have fallen off and my legs are reduced to stumps (but i keep on running, oh I keep on running.. from those nasty Zombies! This is the time to unite my friends! Lets load up the catapults for one last time and fling ourselfs in front of enemy lines, this is our time, this is SFAC! On a semi serious note, what exactly is a "SFAC"?(you might ask) .It's a brand-spanking-new squad that is a parody of so called "realism squads" but mostly a parody of itself! :P Just formed today, my hope is to find like minded people around the world to team up with and to have a laugh (or three). There is no ranks and "Yes sir, no sir" as you might find with other squads, but a group were everyone is welcome as long as they are mature and respect their fellow gamers while having a blast in DayZ! Fling!* Doh, in the midst of all the Zombie hunting I seemed to have forgotten to add my time Zone and preferred voice comms which is GMT+1. Haha, that's just, well, awesome! I was thinking about getting my Glock 17 or Beretta loaded up for a picture. Think i got a gas can that's exactly like the one in DayZ laying around here too.

Even though our group mostly move from smaller towns, staying in the woods, I would be well impressed to see someone holding a city, managing to fortify it. I for one would think twice about entering. If someone do, make sure to get it on tape. :)

I remember the same thing. Was running into Chernogorsk the very first minute i tried out the mod, having no real clue what was going on other than thinking that it might be a good spot to check out. Ended up dragging along quite a few zombies on my way in, but got saved by 6 other guys, half of them bandits and half survivors. I've yet to experience that again, now most encounters with others are mostly gonna end up with one side losing out in a gunfight. Makes me a bit sad, but it's the way the game has evolved.

I just love it, not only is this good for Rocket (getting some proper appreciation for his hard work) and BI, but it's great for us that have been around since early "OFP" and "ArmA" days, when the game where more seen as a "niche". Sales go up and our favorite game gets more updates and more coverage! :D

Is this a 50 slot server? Anyways, I'll be sure to pass this on to our group, we've been looking for a server close to our location, who knows, it might even end up as our new "home". ;) Anyways, best of luck with the new server!

@OP: I'm sorry to hear you haven't gotten any enjoyment out of DayZ the way so many of us have. I've been playing since OPF, loving it since day one. Most of the guys in our group have never played any other arma mods or missions. It's just only a few days since i showed them Xenos "Domination" and most of them loved it. :)
