    DayZ Expansion mod will eventually have AI working and missions too... there's already Proof of Concept videos of AI actually working and shooting guns in DayZ Expansion mod

    oh yea... i noticed lately they release to experimental and add big things while experimental and push it to stable.. remember in 1.05 the Parkor Update when in experimental they fixed the major issue which was gunshots so when someone shot and dumped a mag you will hear all those shots combined into 1 shot... just compressed into one big loud sound spammed fast... instead of bang bang bang... you hear bbbbbbbaaagnnggngngn xD or BRaaaaaap xD and i think they might have added the Golf mk2 car in experiemental too... So yeah basically they will definitelly add something that makes the update better or... breaks it... like what happend with 1.06 Livonia update... early Experimental everything was fine and was probably the most polished update yet... then they changed something and just broke it totally

    i think that's happening because of low stamina and when you "sprint" up the ladders and stamina goes away you get desync and it starts teleporting you up and down because on the client you're going fast but to the server you're not going fast you're not "sprinting" if you know what i'm trying to say... altho idk if this happens on vanilla but it happens on modded... might need vanilla testing but it's probably there too

    i mean at big distances the guy goes invisible... literally only hitbox... you can;t see him.. because it simulates the grass being there since it can't be rendered on your end... he sees he's hidden by thicc grass and bushes meanwhile you see him completely fine... well him going invisible is better then being half into ground and half above ground and what ever the fock is going on in ArmA ... when you snipe people on the hill they are either hidden with imposter ground or floating above the ground that is rendered because their ground is higher then what you can see ... and to everyone saying things about this being a skill or something... you can have it as a mechanic for everyone or a skill but i bet if devs ever decide to do this it will be a skill because they already plan to add "soft skills" eventually... they are kinda in the game right now but eh... they are more of a placeholder then anything

    or do what SCUM is doing... if the player is prone he goes invisible... this depends on the skill of the camo and your skill to detect people that are invisible... SCUM implemented this is so big brain i was like why DayZ doesn't have something like this... it's really smart and solves a lot of issues xD

    The game has a reload button so how the guns work is Have a gun... chamber it Have a magazine... load it and leave it in the inventory Get the gun in your hands and HOLD R and it reloads that mag Alternatively you can bind a mag to your hotbar and hold that for a reload this is kinda useful if you have multiple mags with different ammo count Holding R also reloads bolt action rifles and internal mag guns like SKS

    Yes they are broken but they are not always broken and most of the times from my experience they work good it's not my fault people play on stupidly hyped up ultra modded and run by some idiot who doesn't know how to run a server properly and maintain it 100+ player servers that have 30+ man queue waiting to join in and i even dare say i enjoy DayZ's Server side vehicles only thing really bad about them apart from them flying is unrealistic behaviour of them... like actual perfomance of a car... like a 4x4 Lada Niva should be able to move freely trough out woods and especially uphill and especially go in reverse uphill because i was once stuck really badly on a stone fence in an open field unable to reverse and it was a decent angle but it's totally obviously doable in real life so i had to spend like idk 5-10 min trying to unstuck it and i eventually did it... like the 4x4 Lada is the only usuable car in DayZ for me all other cars are essentially fast get away yeet and skeet vehicles used to just run away usually on road but Lada is very good at everything and what i use it for... offroading... offroading trough woods offroading literally everywhere... other vehicles just can't do that reliably especially trough woods and some other minor details like ability to wheelspin and other stuff

    sure they maintain and make the game better... and sure the vehicles have been broken for years since they got in the game even... but they do work if you know what you're doing like not playing massively overmodded servers and even worse playing them with an owner who doesn't know shit about how DayZ works and maintaining the server... i played on some good servers and some even have owners who make mods and maintain the server and their servers run mighty fine especially with cars... i even drive cars on like 60+ player population just fine absolutelly ZERO issues whatsoever DayZ vehicles work fine under certain somewhat easily achieved condition and that's good quality community hosted server with a smart and overall good owner behind it Also my fix for this would be something like this i don't know if it's possible but have the cars run server sided and have a detection system thing that detects something wrong so when it detects server perfomance and/or connection being bad switch the cars from server sided to clientside temporarily until things stabilize then switch back or something like that EDIT: and even then that's kinda just a band aid with somewhat badly done stitches

    except that's not a fix.... you can't fix vehicles by making them running client side... it's KINDA like saying some kids pushed a small wooden boat in water and everybody be like woah it works better in water who would have thought that an Engineer couldn't make a boat go faster on land? ( idk if you will get this this makes sense in my head xD ) basically this is not a fix... a fix would be more like reworking of the game engine to work better at using more cores and just better management of stuff and how to deal with bad connection coming from either players or the server itself and not this... devs know that client side vehicles will fix them from flying but it's not the point... they made it server sided for a reason and need to work on it to work properly server sided which they do for me in a lot of cases and i actually had the flying glitch happend and it made my DayZ experience better since i was flying with a Volga on a highway once in Livonia and i kinda did a jump and the front of the car flew up slightly and i flipped i think and crashed into a tree and i was knocked out and i woke up and it was raining and thunder... then there were the wolves... and then injured i ran away for a few minutes trough the woods and eventually i was about to let it go and die ( disconnect for some time lol ) but then i saw a cabin in the woods so i was saved... made a fire and survived and this was in 1.06 Livonia experimental i think it was cool if Car didn;t glitch this moment wouldn't have happened xD so if modders fix the server sided vehicles then that would be an actual fix... this solution is only a band aid that might bring issues with hackers later...regardless Client Side vehicles also kinda suck like look at ArmA... their flying vehicles happen when you are behind an another moving vehicle in a convoy... the front car desync's and hits the car behind it and it goes BOOM and/or flies up but the front car is sometimes usually fine like it didn't happen... When i was driving a car and my mate was driving another one... i made a huge revelation that you could actually reliably ram other people without a fear of desync and going up in the air ( if the server is behaving normally ) in ArmA you can't do that or else... space or death or both in DayZ it just works xD i would like for Sumrak for next year to focus on these very critical DayZ issues the whole game server sided needs to be overhauled and cars need to be fixed like the Server side of DayZ being fixed will literally solve like atleast 70% of DayZ issues and some of big issues too like flying cars

    even if the plugins work... how will client side cars on Unreal Engine work with server side cars from Enfusion ( i heard DayZ is a hybrid between ArmA ( Take on Helicopters ) engine and new engine )

    as someone already said... Dead Matter is on Unreal Engine 4... the "drag and drop" stuff is UE4 engine thing... DayZ doesn't have that xD

    Tell me this... how do you explain me having a great driving experience on heavily modded 100 player server ? Clearly it's something wrong on your end... server configuration... something... taking care of a Server is literally you being a dev and taking care of the game it's not plug and play experience as with most other games... Running a server is literally like developing your game you have to have experience... all the good servers have good owners that know shit... most of them have their own custom modifications done to the server files and various optimizations and what not and also software matters too... i heard Windows Server suck... you should use Linux or something... but then again you probably need some very specific version of Linux there's HUUUUGE amount of detail going into this sort of thing Hosting a server is NOT easy in DayZ/ArmA

    game on next gen consoles is literally gonna be like running the game on a better PC ... it will obviously be better there's nothing special going on when current gen to next gen consoles... it's the same game that runs on better hardware that can actually support the game... i can tell you that DayZ on next gen consoles is gonna be AMAZING... and you will truly see how shit hardware current gen console have and what kind of horsepower you need to run DayZ properly... DayZ makes current gen consoles look like calculators

    tbh i would keep the wheels as is right now because it's really handy when bugfixing a car when it's stuck in a really stupid spot that should be easy handled irl... just keep it like this for the time being until they fix cars and car perfomance... handling... torque stats and what not... the V3S truck is cool but useless since it's so slow and it probably can't get uphill like at all since it's so underpowered engine it has and game's shit physics that it can't move up a tiny slope xd best car in the game... Lada Niva 4x4... it's great... you can go everywhere with it... it has nice cargo space... other cars just can't do what cars need to do to be useful... they are shit offroad... and uphill... the only car that's really worth it is Lada 4x4 everything else is kinda poo poo... except the Gunter 2 that thing is nice because.... cmon it's a Golf Mk2 ffs xD ( we love that car here where i am at... The Balkans... so it's kinda legendary here so that's why i like it )

    Over the course of 6 years a lot has happened... plans changed... accidents happened... people got fired people grew up... people finished school... has kids... got married... The game went from a Standalone ArmA 2.5 DayZ mod to a truly Standalone game on a new engine which they decided to work on in like 2015... and when it did release they switched programming language and had to start from scratch which is why the game was barebones at 1.0 release compared to 0.62 ... Cars do not need fixing tbh... the server side stuff needs.. and netcode... the cars are run server sided so if server shits itself the Lada turns into a Tesla xd If it's so easy to "fix cars" why you don't go and fix them yourself and be hired by Bohemia Interactive xD
