Was really hoping a Dev or someone from Bohemia could confirm as it's starting to happen on my private server and I want to know if should be actively getting rid of those players. Don't really want to start getting rid of players without hard evidence. @ImpulZ any chance you can confirm this likely duping or just some internal connection thing going on? -

Well it's gotta mean something otherwise it wouldn't be happening. As for the hiding of the names this picture was posted in another community I'm in and people have been reporting the guy for duping without any actual evidence. I'm not trying to contribute to that, just curious what the number means as I've been noticing it more and more -

Why would they have persistance on the servers if they intended you to start fresh every time you got on? It's an open world sandbox game, the entire premise is each player gets to decide how they spend their time so it's not up to you to decide the right and wrong way to play. It's not amatter of gearing up again as you're right it's not hard to find supplies. Actually read the comments fully and you'd see the majority of players are upset by the ridiculous amount of time it would take to move their "base" due to the server hopping penalty and lack of carry capacity. -

@ImpulZ This seems like a hugely miscalculated decision. I usually just read comments but felt the need to create an account to voice my opinion this time. The majority of private servers rented are 10 slot servers that are password protected and will most likely have a lifespan of 1-3 months as the players will get bored. I fully understand the need to repurpose existing servers to make it easier to get the remaining preordered private servers up and running and compensate for the massive shift in the playerbase but this is a drastic number you've settled on. As others have stated numerous players are waiting for the next update. You know the majority of the playerbase was server hopping to avoid the night cycle, you added the penalty for server hopping and introduced broken night vision goggles. You just wiped all the servers with the last update so I'd imagine numerous people feel the same way I do and are hesitant to invest time in base building until you release 1.05 just in case you guys do another wipe (your track history does not help this scenario). The biggest point though, is that while you did all that you also introduced the private servers and gave admins the ability to adjust the day/night cycle. I would wager that a lot of the players the official servers have lost are waiting for the 1.05/nvg fix. That being said I understand needing to repurpose existing servers, though the server hopping penalty you introduced essentially makes server transferring your base completely impractical not to mention ridiculously time consuming. Love this game but this seems like a half baked idea.
