To clarify, I wasn't driving the car. I'm pretty sure you didn't read the posts. It clearly says I got out, took out parts and then logged out in the ground next to the car. No matter how many hours you got, you gotta read the post first or you won't know what you're talking about.

Well, I've been playing God knows how long since 2014... Guess there's a first time for everything. But typical? Not too sure about that.

Yep, took the radiator and spark plug out and logged out on the ground next to it. Interestingly, not even a week ago I was driving while the server reset. There wasn't a warning, I was on official. I spawned a hundred meters ish back, the car was probably another hundred meters from where I was at restart... Flipped upside down in a river. So, idk lol

I played for an hour and a half after a server reset, and logged in this morning rolled back to when the server reset. Spent hours building a car, drove down the coast and stopped in kamenka for some water. Drove off down to the tents, looted a bit and drove up north on the west end of the map and found a small house. I logged off, and grabbed the spark plug and radiator just in case. Logged in this morning, and everything I found after the reset (kamenka onward) is just gone... Including the car parts, which ARE NOT in the car, I might add. I ran up and checked. So not only did I waste hours and hours of my time fixing this car, I also got robbed for basically all the ammo and food I had, since I'd found it all in kamenka and the tents. I'm at a loss for words right now... Now instead of finding a place to build and getting my stuff set up, I have to run all the way back to a town or city and spend another probably 3 hours finding the same things I spent hours finding yesterday, for absolutely no reason whatsoever... Wonderful.

Apparently you've never heard of a typo... 6 is right next to 7, if you weren't aware. I'm glad you never mistype anything, when your 8+inch hands don't fit on your screen. Good for you. Also, sales figures mean absolutely nothing. A lot of people buy Apple, but that doesn't mean they aren't being ripped off and paying like 500% retail for substandard, barely better than entry-level hardware, and a proprietary software most app devs hate coding for... a lot of people buy things they think might be good, and they end up regretting it. How's the active player base, as compared to how many people bought the game? Hmmm..... anyway, My point, is that you get teleported when you change servers.... AND WHEN YOU DON'T. Pretty simple to understand, even using basic context clues. My car is still where I left it, yet I was teleported over a half hour away. ON THE SAME SERVER. Not sure why you would think I'd try to log into a different server and look for my car... Are you new? I didn't fail to mention anything, your inability to interpret the subject matter based on the thread title and contextual information within the post, is not my responsibility in any way, whatsoever. Yes, what we have way over the top... AND IT DOESN'T EVEN WORK RIGHT. The best part is, I grabbed my rad and spark out of the car when I logged... Now they're both gone and I have to find more, because this failure of a game malfunctioned AGAIN and deleted my items. Why is a solution, punitive to people playing legit, an acceptable recourse for the devs inability to properly perform their jobs?

Even better guys, the new system doesn't work either 😂😂😂 I drove my car west of kamenka, hit the tents, drove halfway up the west side of the map to a nice little spot.... Maybe an hour after I hit kamenka... I log in this morning, I'm in kamenka... How TF is it possible for you people to not be able to have this game in an even SLIGHTLY functioning state? This is pathetic... My first game in college ran 1000% better than this pile of trash... It's sad, because if these devs were even somewhat slightly competent this would be such an amazing game. But instead it's an alpha-quality, buggy, pile of garbage and now we're getting punished for playing... It's no wonder this game failed. 7 years and it's no better than it was day 1... There's just more stuff. Unbelievable... And I'm still waiting for an excuse as to why it's acceptable to force people into not being able to play....

Instead of fixing duping, and server hopping... They band aid it, and just make it harder to do. We all know the server hopping fix was a complete and utter failure, it was horrible. A disaster. But the duping one might be even worse... Now nobody knows when the servers gonna reset and can't get somewhere safe... The consequence? My car I spent a day fixing got teleported 50 yards off the road, flipped upside down in a stream when I logged back in. You people defending this are starting to look like paid shills. This is insane. 6 years later and they still can't get a single thing right... How is this game $50?

It's an official server... I've read the messages don't appear as a means to stop duping or w.e. I've accidentally duped cans of food and other random things on restarts, so I don't doubt that has something to do with it. Either way, there's no warning, and this is the result.

Found a car last night, spent hours fixing it... 12 hours later, servers full. I got to another server to go find some food in the mean time... I'm literally all the way across the map. This is out-fkn-rageous... What kind of functioning adult actually thought this was a good idea?

There are multiple islands, probably over 100 boat spawns across the coast and they even used to have paddles back in the day... I'm not too up to date on devlogs or anything, but how are fixable boats or craftable rafts not a thing yet? Imagine the possibilities... Not just reaching the prison island, or skal or one of the others... But it would be really sweet to be running down the coast and bump into someone offering to shuttle me to any coastal town for a few cans of food or drink. Or to take a boat out and go fishing. Or having firefights like pirates out on the water. The items exist, the models exist, the animation would be super simple... What reason would there be to not include a rowboat or craftable rafts?

They used to, back when the game wasn't a fully functioning game... Now that it's a full release, there should be no bugs like this to speak of, especially at a nearly AAA price point.... Oh, wait...

This is not a middle ground, it's punishing people who play the game legitimately. And no, "Oh, well other people can't play sometimes. It's not that big of a deal" is not a valid excuse. It's an admission of the blatant failure of the devs, if anything. There is absolutely no acceptable reason whatsoever, why people should be punished to the point of not being able to play at times, because idiots can't stop being idiots. I'm honestly in utter awe at the notion that anyone would find that even remotely acceptable...

However, I do like the idea of simply tying the character to the server, similar to the community ones... But there would need to be like an A and B, because the same issue results if not... Your servers full, you cannot play. That literally might be the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. Could you imagine any other game trying something like that? People would be screaming for refunds. But since this games always made historically terrible decisions, just 1 more is no big deal? There is not ONE SINGLE ACCEPTABLE reason why a Dev team should be actively trying to make people NOT play. That is utter insanity.

Yeah, it's honestly a toddler-level solution. You can tell that absolutely zero thought went into this whatsoever. And now we probably have to deal with it for another 8 months while the useless 5 person Dev team comes up with another terrible idea.

Absolutely true, and the flames maybe need to be fanned. The mods here might not care that the game is being ruined for us, but the people who actually play the game seem to care a lot. I've played since 2014 and at this point I think I might just quit.

I find it interesting that everyone here is in agreement, except one... Who seems more intent on flexing over people literally using the forum what the forum is meant for, than contributing.

This has to be the worst update to this game ever made... This server hopping "fix" just breaks the game for the rest of us. If "my" server is full now I can't even play? Because I'll spawn halfway across the map... Inventory is bugged, can't reload, can't pick up or drop items without opening the menu and dragging it to your hands, I have a non existent disease with no symptoms that won't go away no matter what I take... This is just pathetic...
