Yea well Nitrado states the following: So I wonder if the server hardware of Nitrado is actualy fine but the (server) engine of dayz can't fully utilize the hardware which indicates a problem of engine itself and not Nitrado. It would be great if someone with knowlege could shed some light about this.

It seems like that the devs are not able to fix the fps/performance/render issues on current gen consoles but please fix at least the awful server performance or tell your server provider Nitrado to set up better servers for DayZ. Everything above 60 slots is a true lagfest and unplayable but they still offer servers with up to 100 slots which is a bad joke imho!!

Well 1.08 will be released soon but it doesn't seem to improve desync/inventory bugds and performance on consoles, which is a shame... 😞

Yeah I was asking if Nitrado servers on PC are running smooth above 60 slots when full pop. On console there is lot of lag and rubberbanding on 60+ slot servers when full pop, kinda unplayable. I can remember when community servers came out on console there were many 100 slot servers online but the owners quickly realized that it's not worth the money as those servers were running pretty bad, which is imho a real shame considering the ammount of money they cost! What hardware is required to run a 100 slot server smoothly (without mods for console)?

Can we expect better server performance in the near future? Do PC servers of nitrado run smoother with 60+ slots when full pop?

@BI Pls hire someone to optimize your serversided code. On console players are starting to teleport, zombies are stuck (wont chase you) and there is ultra rubberband when servers above 60 slots are full pop. The other thing is that your server partner (Nitrado) don't offer servers with 60 slots like the official ones. It's either 52 or 64, which doesn't make sense at all. But ofc you can order a 100 slot server but as I mentioned those servers are running very very bad when there are more than 60 players. So please do us a favor and contact your server partner Nitrado and tell them to offer servers with 60 slots as 60 slots seems to be the sweetspot before it gets ultra laggy aka unplayable when full pop...

Thats a really good move from BI and I appreciate that you xbox guys are doing some bug testing and reporting. I was talking to a buddy on xbox (i'm a ps4 player) and he told me that item desync is way worse than with 1.07 stable. Can you confirm this?

Well that doesn't change the fact that a few people can limit the chance to find a T3 weapon to almost zero with hording, on console with duping + hording. I don't want to find a T3 gun every time but the fact that you don't find one because of hording and duping is simply game breaking... Thats why most poeple I know avoid official servers these days. Imho they need to adjust the CLE mechanic.

I hope with the latest option to test experimental updates on xbox some people will comment obout the current state on console. Item desync or desync in general still as bad as with 1.07? Still looting issues or players shoot with their bare hands with no gun sound at all (aka the silent weapon bug)? Any performance improvements at all? And btw, its quite sad that we can't test experimental builds on PS4. I think that would be a great option to test the builds on the console landscape.

Well if your GPU wouldn't be at 98% you would have a bottleneck in your system (most likely your cpu) or the game would be ultra badly optimzed. I'm hoping for a solid 1440p performance with the next gen consoles as my TV for gaming does support Freesync, VRR and LFC upto 1440p and I would love to utilize those functions. Imho native 4k is for singleplayer games @30fps and not for any pvp related content (in terms of next gen consoles)...

I guess you are right about the shitty hardware for the day and age but for me it is still hard to believe that DayZ on consoles have to run that bad and I think optimization would do a bigger difference than 5%. Stuttering and fps drops are way to frequent in DayZ (I can only speak for the PS4-Pro here) and I do think the enfusion engine is way too hardware hungry or just badly optimized for the current gen console hardware specs. Afaik DayZ at it's current state doesn't even offer proper ragdoll or complex physics of it's world but I'm not a game dev so I don't know what hardware requirements are needed to run DayZ smoothly. On the other hand if you look at the DayZ server performance you will only come to the conclusion that it's badly optimized as well and imho that speaks for the whole optimization state of the whole game. It seems like that the devs are not even able to optimize the server performance so that players and infected won't teleport and lag all over the place on a full pop server with 60+ slots. Custom servers on conslole a very nice feature but only up to 52 slots when full pop. As I said above imho it is a slap in the face of the console community to offer rented servers above 60 slots at the time beeing. Well I can't wait to play DayZ on the PS5 or Xbox One Series X but even if those consoles are able to run DayZ at solid and stable 60fps@4k (hopefully 120fps@1440p) they still need to optimize the server performance. I don't see any words of the devs regarding to the progress or change about the server performance or did I missed something? Anyway it would be great if someone here could answer my questions in the PS4-Troubleshoot section about the actual ingame resolution at 4k (PS4-Pro):

Please optimize the performance for PS4. I'm running the game on a PS4-Pro with internal SSD and it's still unplayable in many situations and the fps will drop under 5 in most cqc pvp situations with full auto AR's. Please don't ignore the console community as I think that we console players are responsible that you guys earned a lot of cash recently that can be used to develop the game further...

I'm looking forward for those fixes, especially to those which are related to item desync and looting. Anyway I run DayZ on a PS4-Pro with a internal SSD and it's still unplayable in many situations. When you in or near a big city and shoot a full auto AKM the fps will drop to like 2-3 and sometimes remain like this for several minutes. I would say DayZ on consoles is just very poorly optimized and the devs which ported the game to consoles have no or very little experience on how to optimize a game for a fixed spec of hardware. I mean the fact that the PS4-Pro boost mode has a negative effect on the fps in DayZ speaks for itself. DayZ was released mid 2019 on PS4 so it should be a PS4-Pro enhanced title and boost mode on or off shouldn't have "any" effect on the performance. Don't get me wrong I never expected a solid/stable 60fps experience of DayZ with the current console specs but solid/stable 30fps should be possible when the devs did their work correctly. The game runs really bad on consoles and several patches haven't changed much or rather anything in terms of performance, which is quite sad! Endless game breaking bugs combined with poor performance makes DayZ (imho) not really enjoyable on consoles...

Having a decent survival experience on console (PS4-Pro with SSD here) is indeed almost impossible with all the game breaking bugs and bad performance (especially at pvp situations). I wonder if they ever address the inventory/looting issues and horrible fps on consoles. I also find it quite frustrating that the server performance is so damn bad on console. Every full pop community server above 52 slots suffers from teleporting and lagging players/infected but it's still possible order servers with up to 100 slots. 60 slots seems to be the sweet spot (like official servers) before it gets ultra laggy but there is no option to rent a 60 slot server (its either 52 or 64 slots). I find that this is a slap in the face of the console community... Are we going to see "real" console improvements with the next patch?

Hello players and DayZ devs. I do own a 4k TV for my PS4-Pro and I realy like how crisp and clear Dayz looks if I set my output to 4k but the frame drops and general fps makes it almost impossible to enjoy DayZ when playing at 4k. Especially when using (sniper) scopes or at most pvp situations it's kinda unplayable at 4k. If I set my PS4 pro to 1080p/Full HD the game looks quite bad on my 4K TV (55inch). Yes, I do understand that the PS4 Pro is too weak to output real 4k resolution with DayZ (and many other games) but I wonder if you could turn down the render resolution to 1440p or implement some sort of dynamic resolution so we can enjoy DayZ on the PS4-Pro and a 4k TV? I figured out that boost mode disabled helps a little bit to get more stable frames and less lag but it still unplayable in most situations... My Question(s): What is the actual ingame resolution in DayZ for 4k output on the PS4-Pro? Is it 3840 × 2160 (4k), 2560 × 1440 (1440p) or some sort of Dynamic resolution? Is DayZ a PS4-Pro Enhanced title? Why has Boost Mode a negative effect in DayZ? Best Regards!

Fix fps stuttering/drops and Desync aka the evil of most things and I'll buy 2 copys of DayZ for two random guys in my FL. Can anyone comment on ghost bullets? Is it finally fixed?

Umm yeah sure, it does help a lot right? Communicating is one thing and addressing the game breaking issues another... I hope they get better at both but the latter is by far more important.

Lul, I would be very surprised if you are able to fix these problems by the beginning of the next week. Since DayZ on console I don't have any faith in your devs anymore. But hey, please prove me wrong. To be honest, I'll bet 3x copys of DayZ for PS4 that they will not fix any major problems on console (Desync, Ghost Bullets, Inventory issues with looting >> aka DESYNC ISSUES) by the "end" of next week. I'm not even take cars into the mjaor issues since the physics part of the game is so damn broken (e.g. corpses fall into buildings) that I'm quite sure that they can't even fix this by the end of the year. Anyway, they have at least 5 full working days to fix those named issues... Does anyone want to bet against me? 😅

Trust me its not fixed, not even close. We had inventory desync and ghost bullets like 5-6 times yesteday in one session! DayZ is still broken AF on consoles and I'm pretty sure the devs know it. The game(play) is broken AF right now, thats the state of DayZ on console! Lot of CEs/Bluescreens. Worse FPS than before (how is that even possible?!?!?!) and still a LOT of desync and inventory issues. Your char still get scuffed and you shoot ghost bullets and/or melee combat doesn't work. You can't fully loot players 99% of the time. You are getting killed by players showing no guns in their hands... It's basicaly the same as before with 1.06 but even worse. How can you release 1.07 in such a bad state? You guys should be ashamed of yourself! You haven't fixed "ANY" major issue with the game on console, thats mindblowing imho! The only good thing about the update is that you don't have a black screen for 15 seconds after you respawn (with 1.06 you had to wait 15 seconds but your char was already in the world and could get attacked by zeds or players). Well done devs, great update... Seriously, I would consider to get help from a another dev studio to work on this game for consoles. Otherwise your reputation will go down even more. Be transperent and admit that your devs are not able to fix this game on console, that would be huge! BB DayZ, see you in couple of month when you release another broken update on console. Sad DayZ...
