Aign0r started following Any Dayz Origins servers up?

Does anyone know if every Origins server has it's own private hive, or do clusters share hive but each cluster has it's own (by cluster i mean UK 1,2,3 etc INT 1,2,3 etc), i haven't rly been tracking it but i spawn where i left of on some servers and get new spawn on others. Can someone confirm/deny this or point me into what's rly up :)

This is a question for devs and/or Rocket himself. I've had trouble with low performance with arma2, although more with dayz itself. Anyways my computer should run it at max fps no problem (i run dota2 with just few tweaks at 50-60 fps in animation heavy teamfights). But due to my ATI Radeon (HD 6770) card my computer struggles with dayz at 25-40 fps on pretty minimal settings, no postprocessing, low terrain, low objects etc. i've also read on many forums and websites that Radeon users generally have more performance issues then Nvida users or others (i.e. My friend who has much slower comp then mine, but has nvidia card and runs game on same specs as me has 10-15 fps more. Anyway my question is will this be addressed in standalone, since there is obviously some incompatibility with Radeon cards. [TL/DR] Have radeon card, trouble with fps in dayz, want to know if it will be addressed in SA

I seriously can't understand, how you manage to break something even more in fix patch... My textures used to glitch only near Balota camp (dead soldiers on the road) and in Stary Sobor camp (again dead soldiers in the camp), now my game also glitches in Cherno and Elektro (didn't go anywhere else since patch came out). Why don't you just roll back textures to patch they worked in, and actually test patches on minor group before releasing it to public. Although you can hide behind Alpha, there are now million players, and i've never heard of an open alpha with million players. Why don't you just use Dota model. there is normal stable patch for people who wanna play normally, and there is a test patch for people who want to be testers. I think there is more then 50-100k rocket fun boys who would lick your dingleberries let alone test a new patch.

dayzdb.com map doesn't show whole map it lacks about 5% of it, when you go out of that area there is a thick black line running through the field which marks the end of map. -
Vehicles, tents and traps don't respawn on server restart unless they are destroyed (vechicles). But you have to save them when you find/place them so that hive would remember them, even if you drive around in a vechicle and you don't click save it will disappear when server restarts (happened to me). I guess it's same with tents.

Once again my spawn bugged this time though i was caught up in server restart. I was on the field next to NW airfield, and when i logged back i was in fking Cherno, Rocket pls oh pretty pls fix bugs before you go out making bear traps and shit like that....

Ok, new bug, or what ever the fuck happened. My friends and I are running through mountains, suddenly we hear shot fired, then shots thorough glass, after that i turn to military zombie and lose control of my character so i dc, shooting stops after i dc, then my friends dc, we wait to see if server will go empty, because we suspected a hacker, server is still full, so we go back and they spawn in a stun. And none is shooting at them, i also spawned in stun, like we dced from aggroed zombies. Also we spawned few about 500-600m behind the place it all happened.

Are ghillie suits removed from loot tables in 1.7.2.3 ? I haven't managed to find any, i know they're are low drop chance, but still before this patch i managed to find it once in a while... Is is it just my bad luck or they're removed?

I had very strange bug, I loged out in forest outside Cherno, and when i reloged i was in Prigodka, with all my gear, nothing lost, same blood level, everything, except my location, i tried reloging, changing server, nothing worked. I was never near Prigodka with this character....

I still can't see the problem some people have with respawn... How does it change your game or game at all, other then you've been in firefight where you killed but also got killed and the other guy got good spawn sooner and looted you, so you're now frustrated. First of all if you wanna play with friends respawn is absolutely necessary, since someone can spawn in let's say quarry and other in Kamenka so it would take them about 20-30 minutes to meet up, given that none is killed. Not to mention spawns in debug forest, inside the texture in Novy Sobot, etc. And even if you removed respawn button, all someone needs to do is find a nearest group of zombies and let them kill him/her so you got a minor inconvenience and that's it. But a major inconvenience if someone spawns in debug or something like that. I support disabling dc idea of some kind, however that's a bit fucked up... since there are no safe areas like in WoW or other MMO's. So lets say this timer is 20 secs, and you're sitting in the forest and suddenly some people come along and kill you cause you had to wait.... Someone mentioned disabling alf+f4, that could work in some situations, like on open ground where you don't have time to go to menu and click abort, on the other hand in a forest or city you can hide somewhere for long enough to do that. As for not being able to join a server for some time that's just retarded, since servers are unstable, some of them have mass fps lags after some times etc, others don't have correct time zones, so you enter and boom there you are in the middle of the night without NVG on server full of people with NVGs. There are many legit instances in which you need to swap servers and i don't think majority of fair players should be punished for a low percentage of server hoppers. On the other hand some minor wait for returning to same server would be ok, like minute or two, to stop doctor Whoing. And again, although it's annoying, i don't want to lose my equipment and hours of gameplay cause of few douche-bags who dc in firefights. Even if electricity downs are rare, some other situations aren't like my cat pushing my router of the shell etc. I don't know if it is possible to implement some mechanic relevant to gun fire, like if a bullet hit someowhere in an area let's say of 10-20m around you, you can't dc for minute or two. Again i don't know anything about game development so i don't really know if this could be implemented and how hard it would be.

Jack Dant covered most of my points very well so i'll just explain what he didn't. First of all if you had read my post thoroughly you would seen that i also stated that big part of that thrill is possibility of being killed. Since it's perma-death. You don't get that thrill in other games in which you respawn in even better state than you use to be (health, ammo etc.). Second, Thrill also comes from outsmarting a human, or outplaying him/her. I really don't feel threatened by zombies, since they are retarded and predictable. I died from zombies for 2 reasons so far: Bugs/glitches, or getting shot by some player and then eaten by zombie. So i don't really get that thrill from zombies (i did at first since it was something new and exciting), now they're just a nusence. Survival is too easy, as Jack Dant said get a hatchet, knife, matches and water bottle and you're golden. This can be achieved in about 30 mins tops unless you don't have luck with spawns, but anyhow hour of gameplay at the most. So survival from thrist, hunger and zombies is not really hard. This brings me to my point, one and ONLY thing that seriously threatens your survival are players. Can you see where my thrill comes from now? I don't know how old are you, and how many games you played and how long do you play games. But i'm 25, i play video games for at least 15 years and had played hundreds of them, and after all that, AI really doesn't stand chance. Only thing that still thrills me in games is outplaying people or good story. Again i must refer to something Jack already said, and that's "sandbox game". One of the best things about this game is that it gives so much possibility for meta-gaming, in other words you can make what you want of it. If you want survival you can sit in woods, if you like to kill people you can be a bandit, if you are a munchkin you can put a tent in forest and hoard all your "preciosess" in there... Besides all this, there also that other point lot of people made, only if i kill someone i can be sure that they wont kill me. To sum it up. Killing and dying in DayZ is pretty much closest thing to somewhat real feel you can get from video game. Only place where i felt same kind of thrill is playing paintball. And that's why i kill.

I shoot people for one reason, it gives me the thrill, not the kill itself but the hunt, and the danger of actually getting killed. I never use snipers cause they don't give me that thrill. Honestly when i see another player and start shooting or he starts shooting at me, or we chase each other around the city, forest or any place my heart really pumps up. It's kinda like paintball sort of thrill if you ever played. And i have to agree with some people here, to declare that something isn't point of this mod is kinda... i don't wanna say stupid cause i don't want to offend you but i don't have better word for it. Whole beauty of this mod is that you can make whatever you want from it... Survival, FPS, Teamplay, Soloplay what ever you want. And about Rocket not saying anything but vague stuff about meta-gaming: "I posted in a thread that was talking about that, that META-GAMING is explicitly allowed. I.e. infiltrating teamspeak servers and groups etc..." << see how he points out infiltrating teamspeak servers and groups, why would you do that if not to kill people? This is from the topic about dcing to avoid death.

And finally we get to the root of your whining... Again, what does it bother you if you play alone and play the game for "scavenging". If you don't care about your equipment and nothing more than the thrill of playing. Why does it bother you that people in the group practically don't lose their equipment? If you're not a munchkin as you claim not to be how does this situation affect you? Have you seen the front page of the website? Scavange > Slay > SURVIVE Getting equipment is easy, surviving with it for as long as possible is the true goal of the game. If you start from some major city or just a village that has few high yield barns like prygodka you can get pretty much all equipment you need in about 30-45 mins if you're lucky in a way that it wasn't just looted. And again, if someone likes to get geared up quickly and respawn close to their body, why does it bother you? It doesn't affect your game a bit.

Still, none of "respawn whiners" had stated any reasons how respawn affects their game or game at all. You can still have all your "hard, unforgiving game" and all the other bs u mentioned, and normal people can still meet up and have a nice game with their friends, and everyone is happy. I don't think loot should be more evenly spread since that wouldn't make much sense, but just let people spawn where they want. Again as none has provided any real reason how this is affecting game i can only conclude that they are a bunch of frustrated little mommas basement trolls who can't stand people respawning quickly and re-killing them while they still loot their bodies...
