At this point, I've learned it's pretty much pointless to voice any concern about the bugs. The support and development team either don't care or won't communicate anything which makes it appear that they don't care. All I know is until something changes I won't be recommending this game to my other gaming friends. They deserve better than this and frankly for as much as we have paid to play, so do we.

What he's saying is that with the tent in front of the door to his base, the actual door will not open because the tent prevents the "open" dialog from popping up on the door, or it just blocks the door altogether. Not a player wall. Not a gate. A door. Without somebody already inside to despawn or close the tent, nobody -can- get inside. Ever. Not until the actual tent itself despawns. I can understand why this would be frustrating because I would do the same, always have a safe alt at home to at the very least, open doors for anyone trying to enter the base. Since the reset, nobody can.

Issues with your game, are you going to fix them?
SkeetRage replied to SkeetRage's topic in Troubleshooting
Pretty much is what I expect Blades56, because it's just another example of what I already know, just giving it one last shot before I give the fuck up on this altogether and get my money back. -
Hello, I purchased your game around when it came out on PS4 in the hopes that the $60 I paid would be toward a polished game that would be provided support by it's development team along the way. I knew that DayZ had been out on PC for quite some time so I fully expected the game issues from PC in the past to be fixed. I mean after all, you are charging the same amount of money that games that were projected for years at E3 so my level of expectation from you guys is VERY high and so far I am extremely dissatisfied and unimpressed with the level of support you have provided for your game. In fact, I consider your game wholly broken and barely even playable. I am wondering when or if you will fix any of the issues that make the game essentially unplayable. It seems like anytime there is a bug or issue brought up, there is only a lack of support for the issues it seems like and it honestly doesn't seem like you guys really care either way as long as you have people buying the game. At this point, you guys appear to be money grabbers and are taking advantage of gamers out here that expect more from you. I have contacted Playstation Network SIE and asked them about their cancellation policy and they have notified me that I may receive a refund on my purchase if the content is faulty, which it is. I am wondering if the issues will be fixed with missing characters, server wipes and the other horrible bugs that basically make the game unplayable. It's not that I don't appreciate your work, but if you guys don't intend on fixing these issues which you have had years to fix then I see no reason not to refund my $60. SIE has already agreed to do so because they consider the game faulty based on the info I have given them. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/cancellation-policy/#games Official PSN Cancellation Policy: Guys, thanks to the information I have given SIE, they have -already- deemed your content faulty. Which means anybody who has bought this on PSN could actually also get this refund. You are playing with fire here. So depending on what you guys are going to do to support the issues that are making the game unplayable will I suppose determine whether or not I request this. I'm tired of being ignored for your issues and I'm sure there are many other people that are also. So what's it gonna be?

Just so you are aware, I don't believe Bohemia intends on providing any support for this issue. (Because they can't, well they could... but they won't.) The issue related involves a crash of their hive server which controls and houses all the character data. The data is gone and irretrievable and no recompense, to my knowledge, will be provided.

So here's my story so far, keep in mind I've played DayZ before and only have just recently returned of course, with the PS4 release. 1st Run. Getting acclimated to the game, the movement, combat, all the other game mechanics. Spent a great deal of time without getting killed, but also without running into many other players getting along. This gave me a chance to focus on working on my equipment and on my discoveries I found that I remember much more of the things that I could do in the game than I realized and quickly acclimated to the PS4 version. By this time, I had already googled a map and found an orienteering compass, so by this time, remaining undetected and alive was just second nature to navigating directly to the places with the best drops. Found a lot of great equipment, and then I was reminded just how dangerous those areas are, and the fact that almost nobody messes around with the casual "friendly?" hail. They just shoot your ass. 2nd Run. Much easier and faster time navigating and re-equipping. I was fully re-equipped and then some within I think about 3 hours of playtime from respawn. This time around though after becoming fully equipped, I ran into another moderately equipped player that seemed friendly enough. I had my reservations, it's hard to fully trust a stranger in this game, but without taking that chance it doesn't really make the game worth playing. Fortunately I was successful on my gamble and found a friend to watch my back on our travels for awhile. We survived together for quite some time and I decided that I wanted to load him out with the best equipment too. 3rd Run. On my run to load out my brother, I find out just how loudly I've been trapsing around these military installations when I walk into a headshot from somebody's SMG. Great. Idiot. Be quiet! Okay, reloaded, 4 hours later. And re-reloaded after another 2 hours with some extra goodies for my buddy. At this found I've only really met hostile resistance on a large scale at the Military bases, which is to be expected, and I can hold my own in a fire fight but at this point, I realize that my friend at this point isn't very experienced in combat and I would very likely end up having to baby sitting him in any combat. I was just happy at this point to have a friend that didn't shoot at me, but I quickly found myself wanting to fall in with a group of experienced players that could look after themselves and play more tactically. 4th, 5th, 6th run. After playing in all the hot zones, I decided to buzz around the map to the more populated areas and towns or even coastal areas that many players frequent. Through exploring these areas, and re-equipping several times over in the process... I didn't tend to run across many people, but those that I did run across found more pleasure in trying to kill me than interacting with me in any other way. A couple got lucky with some good shots, others... not so lucky and bit off more than they could chew, but I never found myself killing another player without at least first giving them chance to shout friendly or disarm. I did feel bad for the last person I took down though. He was only trying to rush into a house I was occupying to escape chasing zombies and happened to have a weapon out. I don't think he knew I was there or ever intended on shooting me, but I reacted all the same and filled him full of holes. I did feel bad though, so I revived him. His gun had dropped from hand and I had my AK-M on him with a fresh clip. He ain't gettin' a shot off. I learned just how many new new players there are playing this now - and it reinforces my playstyle to perhaps not be so ruthless with new players as I have been in the past on PC in the past. At least for now - we need to give our new base of players time to acclimate to the game before we chase them off by being assholes. So I found a group of players that closely aligns with my playstyle to help other people acclimate to the game and be a friendly force to all non-hostile or friendly players - and as an experienced player, hunt and kill bandit and KOS players tactically that the other new players aren't really capable of doing yet. So far so good, liking the camaraderie and after playing by myself or with only one other playing since buying the game (again), it's nice to have a group of solid players to play with. So that's about where I'm at with my run on DayZ is so far. It need some work but I am holding out hope for it.

I agree 100% with the OP on all points. The render issues are horrible and need fixed badly. It doesn't make the game unplayable, but it certainly doesn't help when I target an enemy with a scope and then get head-shotted because of the stuttering render issues. This isn't a lag issue, it's optimizing the game to run better on PS4. I can tell a lot of the game was ripped straight from PC and ported with a few minor changes, but for as much as I paid for this game, I do expect these issues to be corrected within the next update or so. Thanks.

Honestly, I don't really seem to have too much of a problem finding weapons on PS4. They are rare, as they are supposed to be, and thanks to dupers, they are even more rare. But you just really need to hit the places they spawn hard, they all still spawn. I've found multiple KA's, M4s, hell, the only weapon I think I -haven't- found is a LAR Battle Rifle, and only because that item is the single rarest item drop I think in the entire game. Assault weapon aren't supposed to be a dime a dozen - but they aren't as rare as you'd think and they only spawn at military installations rightfully so, and those zones just happen to be KOS zones, rightfully so. Sub machine guns, even more common. Find scorpions (and magazines) in security sheds (officer shacks at the edge of military checkpoints/outposts) or even SG5k's inside military tents/barracks, etc. The most common, pistols, shotguns and rifles, that can and will be found in almost every house in every town in the game. Any of these weapons can compete with the assault weapon with a bit of luck and accuracy. Before finding the latest and greatest weapon on every single run, take time to get to know the game, where stuff spawns, and the fact that you're going to lose that oh so special gear about a dozen or two times before you realize the less you have, the safer you are in many cases.
