It certainly can be. But I think in game the effects may be too accelerated, and a bit too severe a bit too quickly. I think it just needs balancing out a bit.

The issue was indeed fixed with 1.05 I played for about four hours last night and did not experience it once, all the terrain in front of my character was nice and visible, just the way it should be. Thanks Bohemia. I knew it was not my set-up.

I am happy. At least I can see stuff now. I was experiencing terrible lighting during the daytime where my screen was always really dark unless I made my character look down. Looks like they have sorted it.

I just found one at Troitskoe Military Base, the one in the far North (roughly centre of the map) it was in the green look-out towers. The green look-out towers seem to have lots of mags and ammo of all types.

I don't understand why you keep quoting things I never said? where did I say anyone should be fired? I totally agree that projects can run parallel to each other, but it seems that one is moving faster than the other, no? I would much prefer a stable game to a new map. Anyway, base game should be fixed more quickly, and that is my opinion.
-
Who said anything about that? The point is that instead of spending money on map-makers, they should spend the money on more people to do bug fixing, on more people to do optimizing, on more people to basically get the base game to where it should be. DLC should not be a priority right now, fixing the base game as quickly as possible should be. This game on PS4 is literally bleeding players, I see next to no-one during my play sessions now. In fact, I can't actually believe that as strict as Sony are, they allowed DayZ to be released as a full game.

HA! I paid £40 for the game, and it is the worst game I have ever played on PS4, I still cannot believe how badly it runs sometimes. There are GLARING issues which have been there since launch and have not been addressed, and we are four to five months in now. So they can't fix the game to make it stable for the players who already bought it, but they can put hours and hours of work into a new DLC map (and probably carry all the existing problems into it, and maybe charge you more for the privilege?). No thanks. It's ok talking about first world problems, but what about the guys who don't have a great deal of expendable income, and can't buy a new game every month, and bought DayZ in good faith, knowing already about the issues that it has, and just hoping that one day it will run well (which, to be fair, it should be doing by now!). This DLC is a kick in the teeth if it is paid for.

But don't let the beautiful landscapes of this new region fool you. Oh don't worry, I won't, I also won't let BI fool me into giving them more money. Definitely not until the base game runs how I want it to.

I still server hop to avoid night-time. I have grown accustomed now to being dropped somewhere random, and since I always play alone I can do it whenever I feel like it. It has actually added a bit of an extra element to the game for me, wondering where I will end up next.
-
How many times and how often though? It will also have been accidental most likely, not just to try and fix a broken game.
-
Yeah, I want a video-game, not a Tamagotchi.

The point he was making is that COD, FIFA and GTA do have something in common...They don't wipe the player's progress. Duping should be fixed already in DayZ. It should have been a priority since launch. They should have sorted it by now. With the huge influx of money they got from PS4 sales, they could have dedicated a person or two just to solving the duping issue. Surely it can't be THAT hard. They are literally wrecking their own game by not fixing it and constantly wiping player progress. People will still play it (I will still play it) but it will become harder and harder to find a populated server (it is already becoming difficult to find one). When I first started playing I saw other players quite regularly. The last bunch of times I have logged on I have seen no-one, probably about 15 to 20 hours in total and never saw another player.

I don't build, but I feel sorry for the guys who do, and sink a hell of a lot of their time into it because they have fun progressing in the game. Only to have their progress removed and it is not even their own fault. That should not happen. I don't care if they do server resets all the time on PC. PC is rampant with hackers and cheats, it probably needs it anyway. I started playing on PS4 because of the hackers and cheats on PC. Server wipes will not be popular here on PS4, console gamers expect more, because a decent standard is what they usually get when they pay full price for a game.. If this carries on then DayZ will bleed players until the servers are pretty much empty. I can guarantee that the amount of players who don't want server wipes all the time will far outweigh the ones who do (or don't mind). I know PC players don't care that much (I never did when I was a PC gamer) but console players want reasonable quality for their money, and if they don't get it, they go play something else...

Unacceptable. I know of no other game on PS4 (Which I have played) that wipes the players progress on a regular basis. If this is going to be the case then I want my £40 back and I will uninstall the game. I knew what I was getting into when I bought DayZ, I knew about the bugs, glitches, that it was not a "complete" game, and all the other stuff and I am fine with that. Regular server wipes however, I am not fine with. How are the player base supposed to get any kind of "community" going when everything starts from scratch again every couple of months? (not to mention the "accidental" character wipes that happen too). It is ok to say "just pretend you died, you would have died at some point anyway, and it keeps the game fresh". But that is certainly not the case for the guys who like to build bases, bases which take a lot of time to finish, bases for which the materials alone are a massive grind. Or the poor guy who just completed a car, only to have it robbed from him a week later by a server wipe.

When will we get Australia servers on console
Duck Solo replied to Gerald Coleman's topic in Servers
I was under the impression you already had them? Is AS-SY server designation not Sydney? I am sure I have seen it.
