Love this idea!

One simple idea I think that will help base building significantly is having 3 Fence/Gate sizes, see post: 3 Fence Wall Sizes

Hey Survivors! I took some time off of DayZ, about 9mo, but back playing and like the updates/changes we received last year. Moreover, I hope 2023 continues improving our DayZ gaming experience and wanted to share my wishlist of things I’d like to see added/changed for this fiscal year. 2023 Wishlist Have large metal gates and doors stop mid-swing if a survivor blocks it’s path rather than pushing survivors out of the way Make ALL floors and rooftop surfaces function correctly with placing items, there’s always buildings I find that won’t let me properly place objects like barrels and crates for instance Make locked doors more difficult to break into: don’t let punches break a locked door and increase the damage required to unlock a door with melee weapons or tools Better inventory management on console: let survivors organize by size/weight/kind in ascending or descending order easily Place items back into inventory slot they were previously in after using them so inventory stays organized Migrate to new ENFUSION engine: DayZ needs to evolve with current technologies to stay competitive within the survival genre market Engine Update Post Improved Base-building functionality: Add door-sized fence/gate option that’s one-third the normal fence size Fence Sizes Post Prevent gates from clipping through walls when they open Have gates swing inwards if fence is inside a building to prevent wall clipping Allow Base-builders the option to delete props inside of or around buildings that hinder base building like furniture, sacks, shelves, etc… This can occur by aligning fence kit within a space and if there’s any props obstructing the fence kit, they are removed once the fence kit is placed Make it easier to push fence end-posts of multiple fences close together to avoid gaps Reintroduce Leather Tanning for clothes and equipment such as the tanned leather water skin, shoes and outfit Reintroduce ability to dye clothing and tanned leather items Reintroduce Spray Paints to craft different colors on items and create camo pattern Add Apples, Pears, Plums etc… to Livonia like Chernarus Reintroduce Bow and craft-able Bow and arrows Add animation to carry/drag other survivors when captured or unconscious Decrease recovery time from injury and illness by using sleep emote Add craft-able Wood Raised Garden Beds that can be deployed anywhere with planks and nails in 1, 2 and 3 square sizes Fix first-person steering animation so turning the steering wheel doesn’t look like a seizure Reintroduce Radio Recorder & Cassette player and ability to use cassettes in cars Add Car Covers using camo-nets or canvas tarps to conceal vehicles without a car tent Add ability to repair glass windows and windshields of cars Remove vegetation clipping though car floors in first person, guns clipping through roofs in third person and backpacks clipping through car seats *Work in progress, may add/remove items. What changes would you like to see in 2023?

Update 1.19 Xbox Experimental (Change Log)
WOLVERlNES replied to Kyiara's topic in Xbox Experimental Updates
Okay, thanks for 1.20 Experimental patch notes. I’m playing in 1.19, not experimental 1.20 — so it looks like this will be resolved by that patch when it goes live non-experimental. The vehicle has 2 Pristine wheels and 3 Damaged. I’ve been searching for tire repair kits because I wanted to fix them back to worn status. Do you know if they can be repaired or not in 1.19? -

WOLVERlNES replied to Kyiara's topic in Xbox Experimental Updates
I know 1.20 is in experimental, but I just started playing again and can’t change car wheels in 1.19 build. They are not locked, I do have a tire iron. Am I missing something? Playing on SeriesX. -
Update 1.20 Xbox Experimental (Change Log)
WOLVERlNES replied to Kyiara's topic in Xbox Experimental Updates
Found an issue with Shelters: if there’s any slope in the landscaping it makes them really difficult to duck into and get out of. We have to go prone and roll-out and can only enter at specific angles of approach. Please fix — thank you ☺️ -
ADA 4x4 Despawned!? Any Known Reasons?
WOLVERlNES replied to WOLVERlNES's topic in General Discussion
We raided a base and found Gunter, so I brought it home and repaired what I could with the blowtorch. The car is in a different spot than it’s predecessor—but still makes noises when logging in. I noticed the tag Gunter+ is damaged category for the vehicle’s overall health. Is there a way to elevate it to worn? Most of the body is pristine, but front bumper and fenders are ruined. -
I found an ADA4X4 and brought her over to our camp deep in the wilderness. It remained spawned where I parked it for awhile, but every time one of us logged in — we could here the car rumble as we logged-in. Here’s stats of the car to see if there’s any known bugs to cause it to de-spawn, I don’t believe it was stolen because our camp’s inventory was untouched and the vehicle was right next to the camp. Moreover, it had the battery, radiator and spark plug removed which was on my person. ADA 4x4 Specs: Ruined front bumper & Pass Side Fender I removed ruined lightbulb and placed damaged lightbulb onto driver’s side — which instantly damaged the headlamp housing and possibly the driver’s side fender that were previously Pristine For some reason, when I last logged-off before it disappeared I decided to fold the seats forward for rear passengers to get in just after headlight swap, same session Engine was badly damaged, used blowtorch to repair to worn Parked on a sloped landscape in the forest 🌳 between🌲 two large trees and surrounded by small pines & a few rocks We found a Gunter replacement and brought it back to camp, but I’m weary parking in the spot the ADA was and noticed the hill was causing the Gunter to slide around because of the land’s grade. So I repositioned it to be perpendicular to downhill so it stopped sliding.

I play on official servers. I did find a Cherry of a base in the middle of nowhere, got grid coordinates with map and GPS (I love BI added them to the game, reminds me of land navigation courses in the Army, lol) I have a plastic explosive and detonator, just going to look for another plastic explosive 🧨 Hopefully, they have pliers!
-
I’ve been looking for pliers for nearly a real-life week for base building — but can’t find ANY and have looked all over the map. I’m playing on an official server. If I selected a temporary server, could I locate pliers there, then migrate back to my regular server?
-
All the bases I’ve found have long expired with no loot remaining, just destroyed decay of their former glory. Haven’t been able to trade with anyone as of yet, for the 3 survivors I randomly met and traveled with didn’t have any.

I’m on Livonia and have been to: Toplin, Bielawa, Lukow, Gliniska, Brena, Sabotka, Kolembrody, Tarnow, Zapa, Borek, Lembork, Karlin, Wrzeszcz, Gieraltow, Lawenda plus every nook and cranny in betwixt. I’ve searched every garage, farm, house, shed, shack, factory and industrial area — all whilst loot cycling items to trigger new spawns. Moreover, I’ve visited these places once, twice, thrice… and some places half a dozen times! For over a week at this point.

Is the amount of rain questionable?
WOLVERlNES replied to John Maynard's topic in General Discussion
Devs said upon Livonia’s release that it was a harsher climate with more cold and severe rains with thunderstorms than Chernarus — which I find to be accurate. I have barely played on Chernarus since Livonia launch. -
We all know DayZ was a mod for Arma, but I personally know way more people that have played DayZ than have played Arma. I’ve never played Arma myself. And there’s a myriad of YouTubers & Twitch streamers making content for DayZ, Arma content is barely streamed. I still think DayZ has more clout than Arma and earning power.
-
I support this idea!
-
I’ve been trying to build a simple one-gate base for 4 days now — and have scavenged half the map, there are no pliers ANYWHERE! I’m on a public official server, this is insane! Please increase the spawn rates for pliers.
-
Probably spawning too much stuff with your modded xml files. It’s a fine balance when adjusting loot on your server. My rules are: If you increase a spawn decrease something else’s spawn by roughly the same value Refresh server multiple times per day with 2–4 server restarts per day
-
I’d argue DayZ does more business for BI than Arma franchise.

Make it possible to remove items from containers (i.e. clothes, med kits, backpacks, etc…)
WOLVERlNES replied to SoullessSibyl's topic in Suggestions
But inventory management is broken, they need to fix all issues before making it more strict by doing the following: Fix Buttpack so survivors can actually use it when attached to Assault Vest Fix Plate Carrier Pouches, if a holster is attached to plate carrier pouches don’t work Fix magazine reload animation when holding Y-Button to reload, for 50% of the time it doesn’t work, this bug got me killed in a firefight today because my weapons wouldn’t swap magazines Allow the option to easily rearrange inventory within a container, tent or article of clothing Add option to arrange in ascending or descending order within a container by type, weight or size Fix de-synching issues completely -
Binoculars take up too many inventory slots.
WOLVERlNES replied to BERAKAS's topic in General Discussion
Agreed. -
is there a way to delete/remove craftable item on server ?
WOLVERlNES replied to mathieu mauron's topic in General Discussion
Why would you want that? Crafting is a large portion of the game. -
Cannot remove full barrel from truck
WOLVERlNES replied to SoullessSibyl's topic in General Discussion
You need to empty barrel before being able to pick-it-up. -

Yeah, I hear ya… on the realism aspect, and whilst this game has many realistic things about it, it’s still just a game with many unrealistic things as well. For instance: eating/drinking with a mask on, crafting a gun suppressor from a plastic bottle and duct tape or stashing an M4 in your pant’s pocket; all of these things aren’t realistic. I commented on a feedback post about this too. We used to be able to quickly organize inventory — but now it’s painful. Plate carrier pouches are rendered useless, stowing anything inside a container within your inventory won’t allow quick actions anymore such as swapping magazines by holding Y-Button. If we want to get more realistic, then slings for long arms should be added for again, we shouldn’t be able to stow massive items in our pants, shirts, jackets etc… -
I’m on Series X and my whole crew are having these issues. Everyone is using a factory Xbox Controller, no elites nor aftermarket ones; additionally, majority are on Series X|S but a couple are still on Xbox Ones.
-
Some bugs my crew and I noticed this update: Inventory Management is all messed up now, can’t hold X to drop items, can’t easily re-organize items by pressing A to shift things around Ammo pouches for plate carriers are completely broken, no inventory can be accessed prevent magazine swaps with guns and even whilst in inventory menu, when we try to organize rather than selecting pouches it pulls my pistol holster off the plate carrier Anything inside anything becomes unusable, for instance placing magazines in a teddy bear, if survivor tries to reload a gun with a full magazine from inside the bear it won’t function correctly Fire Barrel Light Bug still exists two years later, when camera is spun away from FB, survivors see light being emitted onto environment, but when we look directly at FB it goes away Why are there no fruit 🍎 spawns in Livonia? T’is a silly thing — add apples, plums and pears 🍐 into Livonia No Execution for Spears… really!? Please add stealth-kills for Spears and Pitchfork Thanks for an awesome update, looking forward to others as the year progresses. -Cheers
