Just loaded DayZ and had approx a 1.5Gb update, any patch notes?

I think you meant AI = artificial intelligence, not the reverse.

We tried guns, plastic explosives, melee attacks and grenades. The tent is still in Worn condition.

Sadly, my newly found Car Tent got stuck in a wall when I was trying to drop-it. I filed a big ticket already and know I can’t recover it. How do I destroy it to ruined status in this state so it de-spawn after a server restart? I’ve tried swinging away at it with melee weapons and dumped shotgun slugs into it — both methods seemed in affective. I need to remove it so it doesn’t give away my stash location for it’s sticking halfway through the building’s wall outside. Any preferred weapons or methods to with salvage the stuck car tent or destroy it outright?

My friends and I had been sharing our DayZ adventures through the lens of my twitch streams on SeriesX. Is there a privacy setting for DayZ, Xbox or twitch that will prevent random players from simply selecting my gamertag and hit join game? I made a point of NEVER sharing server information, we’re playing on a small community server. But because they copied my name from my twitch channel, they were able to look me up on Xbox, select join game — and bam, just like that they didn’t need the server information. They then joined our game, knowing our base location, codes and everything by watching my stream. I had a gut feeling something was up when my stream viewers spiked higher than average. So, I looked at players on server, not while streaming, and matched a gamertag that viewed my stream AND was on the server. I thought I had some Xbox privacy settings active to prevent random players from doing just that, but I don’t recall how to set that up?

As far as ease to locate Stab Vests vs Plate Carriers, survivors can locate Press Vests just as easily as Stab Vests — and to my understanding Press Vests = Plate Carriers. The main differences are carrying capacity, attachments and most of all visual camouflage. So, if the Stab Vests do in-fact offer ballistic protection I’m fine with that.
-
Has WOBO or anyone reputable actually done ballistic tests? I’d be curious to see controlled testing done to either prove or disprove the Stab Vest’s effectiveness against gunshots.
-
Leave it alone, it’s fine the way it is. It also has no capacity to carry anything.

I want to like the Bayonets in-game and have tried to use them over the years, but frankly they’re terrible still — and need to evolve in-order to be a useful tool while attached to a weapon aka be a fixed bayonet. Fixed Bayonet Evolved Reduce stamina consumption per attack, so they’re actually useful Add a Stealth Execution animation for them Add a Blocking animation showing the weapon held with both hands in-front of the torso, to absorb incoming attacks while waiting for stamina recharge by holding Left Trigger + Bumper on Xbox & PlayStation Applying these mechanics to fixed bayonets will make them actually worth using in combat, in their current state they’re worthless.
-
Reinforced Fence/Gate It would be awesome if we could build a wooden fence or gate and reinforce it by applying sheet metal over the wood, utilizing both materials for a stronger result. The Reinforced Fence could have the sum hit points of what a Wooden + Sheet Metal fence would normally have.

Wrong, their goal was to make a hardcore survival game that rewards those whom make proper use of survival tools and crafting. They’ve already made the Tourist Map a better tool through the augmentation of Compass & GPS Tracker, plus made the zoom in/out and panning options more fluid than initially executed. The last functionality pieces they need to add is the ability to draw/mark ✍️ points on the maps and a map key/legend — then they’ll be fully functional like they’re irl counterparts.

Third Person camera is shitty when climbing tall building ladders. We used to see our characters’ body fully, now the the camera clips through our bodies, hands and the ladder model — it’s disorienting and needs to be reverted.
-
lol, can’t believe I didn’t remember that haha. I’ll try that next time I’m over there. The Plastic Explosive did nothing to the tent after detonating it.

There’s no tool, if you’re a server owner… you need to login on Nitrado and download your .xml files then use a text editing program to revise the .xml files. Be sure to backup defaults before messing with them tho.

Update 1.20 Xbox Experimental (Change Log)
WOLVERlNES replied to Kyiara's topic in Xbox Experimental Updates
Please fix Car Tent inventory bug for 1.19, when a vehicle is parked inside a car tent — it’s near impossible, on Xbox, to access the tent’s inventory. Fix Tent wall bug also please, if a survivor drops a tent near a building wall or fence it can get trapped within the wall — rendering it unusable and it cannot be retrieved by neither using vicinity menu nor holding X-button to take to hands. -
Hey Survivors! In 1.16 update the misleading description of codeine tablets was corrected. In-game description now: A painkiller pill, suitable for treating weak or moderate pains. In what ways are they useful in the game? Should they be taken before getting into a fight? Do they reduce Shock Damage so a survivor won’t get knocked-out easily? Do they help with movement speed/actions similar to Morphine? I collect codein tablets, but never use them because I don’t know the situations they benefit.

I created a similar post: Interactive Maps + Grease Pencils I’ve enjoyed the Ui changes to our Tourist Maps, with the augmented use of Compasses + GPS Receiver! Next steps I’d love to see Devs add: Toggle button to view list of Map Legend Iconography, some of things I still don’t know what they are Grease Pencils or Markers to mark locations on our maps

What are 67s? I’m on a vanilla server, the tent hasn’t gone down from work yet.
-
Yeah, I placed a plastic explosive near it, connected detonator and went to another building but wanted to see explosion from a distance, so I observed area clicked the clacker — then boom, You’re Dead lol

Nobody’s holding a gun to your head. It’s an option if friends form an in-game group. If one doesn’t want to start with a map, compass and GPS then just don’t initiate a group. And age has nothing to do with it, many of my friends that gave DayZ a single try were in their 30s and gamers that play zombie games all the time. And because there’s no option like this I’d say more than half of new players give-up playing almost immediately. And if they played less than a couple hours on Xbox they can simply get their money back and delete the game. Why are you so hard-headed to prevent using in-game tools for new player groups to learn how to navigate and find each other?
-
New players are going to be on Official Servers. I play on Official Servers, again new players and friends shouldn’t have to rely on a community server mod that could be shutdown at anytime.
-
Forget about solo players for the moment, I play solo often myself as well. The challenge is, you have two friends that have NEVER played DayZ before and you want to travel with them to help them learn how to play. How can this be achieved? I have a half-dozen friends that didn’t play more than one time because the learning curve is so steep, and there was no way to even meet up with them. Players that know what to do is easy, but trying to provide guidance to players with zero knowledge is very challenging. My friends didn’t know where they were, how to navigate nor how to survive. They didn’t know what to avoid and what to do, even as I tried to explain it to them. A few of my friends managed to break that initial barrier of learning the basics, but more than half said — fuck this game and never played again. They died over and over and were seldom able to actually meet up with me or other friends. OP made this post to try and make a suggestion on how friends can meet up and play together that are new to the game and don’t know how to play, especially how to navigate. Navigation should be achievable sans third-party apps like iZurvive. I play on Xbox and it wasn’t until the pairing with GPS and Compass functionality were added that I actually started using Tourist Maps. Perhaps, the solution is to form a group before entering the server within games Ui then all spawn in together in voice proximity of each other.
-
It’s immersive because it gives survivors the tools within the game to navigate to one-another without using iZurvive app or something similar. Remember this concept is targeting new players that don’t even know how to play the game yet and reinforcing in-game tool knowledge. But also is beneficial for groups of friends with mixed levels of experience to coordinate and meet-up. A lot of potential players are turned-off by the game on initial play sessions because a feature like this doesn’t exist.
-
I play on console, I think a system like this could be accomplished by letting a survivor select another survivor(s) in the online menu once in the same server — then click Add to Group which prompts naming a New Group during that session. For the group to be formed, the invited survivor(s) must accept group invite, but once invited a survivor can’t be spammed with multiple group invitations. A Tourist Map 🗺 is added to the inventory of all Group Members once two or more survivors connect via Group Function. An Orienteering Compass 🧭 with a GPS Receiver + Battery are also added instantly to each survivor’s inventory. This will provide the necessary tools, include immersion, and offer useful learnings on how to use the very under-utilized Tourist Map + Compass + GPS Receiver combination.

There is only one-game that I know of that supports mods on Xbox and it’s a single player game, Skyrim. Xbox is extremely anti-mod, especially for multiplayer games, for it opens up a can of worms enabling cheating like on PC. I don’t anticipate anything beyond what can be done to xml files on community servers for consoles.
