I heard about this from a DayZ YouTube channel. I’m stoked, production is set to begin Jan 2023. This short trailer for PS4 launch amps me up every-time! If the feature film gets the tone of this promo video, I think it has potential. Which should draw-in more players to start playing DayZ IMO. -Cheers

I just had the worst engagement in Day Z. WTF! Me and another survivor crossed paths and the LAG went thru the roof. I could barely aim my pistol. I pulled the trigger and zombies came from everywhere. I ran into a garage and closed the door but Zombies were hitting me thru the damn wall and I was stuck to the wall. Was knocked unconscious and woke up outside, but then ran into the garage again and my UMP was inside. I died because of the lag, frame rate drop, rubber-banding and the inability to close my cuts. Optimize this fucking game already, use the newer and better game engine ffs.

I think it would be awesome to have a sleeping bag be a spawn point anywhere. And if another survivor finds your sleeping bag they can loot a couple items whilst you’re asleep, but the items are random and they either choose to keep them or not, but can’t re-roll. Sleeping bags could also be a way to cocoon up and get warm quickly after being out in the cold & rain. Combine sleeping bag + heat pack to multiply the heat packs warming affect. There could be a few different styles, and circling back to limited number of uses idea — the better the sleeping bag, the more times survivors can use them. Sleeping bags could also be repaired back to worn status like anything else via sewing kit or duct-ape. Logout time could be doubled from 15sec to 30sec and show an animation of your survivor crawling inside and warming up, prepping to sleep. Sleeping bags should also provide temp bonus like fires doo. There’s so much potential!

GameStop is delivering my SeriesX today! Frigen took me over a year to actually be able to buy one because of supply-chain issues. Hoping to see gameplay improvements on SeriesX over my Xbox One.

PLEASE FIX DYSYNCING [Xbox]: I just died because of it, for another survivor attacked me with a knife and cut me 4 times. After I slayed them I healed 1 cut — but could not pull the bandages nor rags from their inventory. So, I bleed to death because of a game bug.

You can grow a beard, but it stops at a certain length. So, what you’re asking for are longer beard lengths than we currently have? I concur and also would like that too.

Btw, you may only get knocked on first round with infected… but they stay agressive and if you fight them again after the second or third bout they’ll kill you proper.

Are there server exploits for finding vehicles, because I swear no matter how well I stash one… another survivor finds it almost immediately. For instance, we found an M3S — put wheels and battery in her, drove to an extremely remote location that was near no civilization whatsoever, and within a very short amount of time as I was setting up a medium tent in the woods I heard the engine start and it got stolen. I pulled the battery and my friend logged off with it. We were parked over an hour’s walk away from spawn points in the middle of the woods. How the fuck did someone find the truck and happen to have a truck battery on them!?

@etwas Yeah, but the persistence of using the flagpole is a great feature if your team can’t play daily. I place it at half-staff to reduce visibility when I know we’ll be on consecutive days. @General Zod dunno what to say, a question was added after the poll was created.

Is the flagpole too tall? It’s designed to extend the decay time of a base and loot stashes — but it’s visible from so far away to hostile players. Thus defeating the purpose of longevity if the flag is a beacon to all raiders in the area. Should the max height of the pole be increased?

One of my friends has 22 Xbox live accounts and characters. I don’t, one gamer tag for Xbox and one character. -
If I recall, when a survivor is either unconscious or bound by rope, hand-cuffs etc… and they exit the server; that character is automatically forfeit—and they’ll be a fresh spawn next time they play.

I know it used to be a thing on PC, but can we collect rain water in bottles, canteens or barrels now?

I concur, adding more ammo types would just make it more difficult to pair the ammo needed for the weapons a survivor might be carrying.

Being able to move a corpse into a defendable position to loot them would be amazing! Also, it would be good to drag bodies out of buildings since we can’t bury them inside.

I served in the U.S. Army and we use Grease Pencils with maps to mark our positions, hostile positions, strategic points of interest etc… Grease Pencils are used because the marks are water resistant and have durability out in the combat zone. As of now, the Tourist Map is useless because it’s not interactive, for we can’t mark where things are. It would be amazing if BI added different color grease pencils for us to be able to mark maps with our position, stash locations, bases, friendly and opposing force positions etc… And make the tourist map an actual asset that’s functional with purpose. Thanks for your consideration.

Thanks for update and patch notes, looking forward to playing. I have a question about “lightweight” buttstocks — if we remove a buttstock on weapons will it now reduce their overall size in our inventory as it makes sense to do so? When cooking with the frying pan, can we now see the food being cooked in the first slot, similar to stoves in houses? Will gas stove emit heat with the light when being used for cooking? Lastly, I hope there’s some cool and interesting things we can combine alarm clocks with… timed explosives perhaps? 🤔

Great news! Looking forward to updated vehicle physics and more refined control options like dead zone, and custom keybinding. As far as controls go, I’ve been using inverted control scheme since the 90s playing Duke Nukem — and in Day Z every time I launch the game, I have to set vertical aim to inverted for the preference isn’t saved and it’s resulted in me dying upon loading into server if I have an immediate encounter. Please resolve this. Lastly, the game is in a much better state then it was in 2020 — however; things like: pop-in, lack of grass and map detail at longer draw distances, lag spikes, rubber-banding, de-synching, x-ray vision exploit need to be addressed. I play on Xbox One X, trying to buy a Series X and strongly feel this game has more opportunity for polishing and quality of life fixes with items like the car driving functions as an example — which can be improved upon by migrating Day Z entirely to new Enfusion engine with better game optimization. Looking forward to tomorrow’s 1.16 update! -Cheers
