You can try to suppress free speech all you want punk, but the facts remain. The dayz development team is absolute trash. You all can keep licking their boots and ignoring it.

So the developers go and mess up big time by having characters swapped. Instead of quickly acting to fix their screw up, they wait all day and allow players to scramble and try to get kitted back up. Spend hours looting and building characters again. Then they go ahead and turn the clock back and we lose all that work. I just found an m4 and fully kitted up my character again and now that's all gone. The development team is a joke for this game.

Player base locations?
Porcelain_Punisher replied to Porcelain_Punisher's topic in New Player Discussion
Without a doubt. But what about the public servers? You can't transfer your character over from private servers. So all these guys running around on 60 person servers must have stashes somewhere -
Have any of you guys found player bases, tents, barrels etc? What are some common locations you found them? I'm not looking for server information. Just curious of what locations you may run across some camps. I used to find a bunch in certain areas but since I've been playing on xbox I rarely find anything. I assume most xbox players just bury their stashes now.

Last I read was 50 days or so but I dont know. All loot on a player, in stash, and on ground are counted towards the loot limit. It's a flawed system overall and needs to be fixed.
-
Stashes are a great idea but are very overpowered for the current game mechanics and flawed loot system. The current loot economy still considered stashed guns as active and will not respawn those weapons. In other words, players that stash multiple identical guns are part of the reason why decent weapons are impossible to find now. Tents and barrels are cool cause you have a chance to find one but the underground stash needs to either be taken out of the game or the loot economy needs to be increased.

Are the Devs wanting this game to fail, there is almost no loot

I beg a differ. Try a large server. Most people love pvp. And pvp on dayz is vastly different than pubg or bf. Pubg and bf are still very cartoony and arcadish. Dayz offered a much more intense firefight. Add the fact that you lose everything when you die and that gets you more hyped up than any other game on console. I absolutely hate when people on this forum tell others to go play pubg or battlefield instead. There is no comparison. I play with a bunch of vets and we only play dayz for the pvp because it's the most intense of all other games on console. -
Does anyone know exact numbers on weapons?
Porcelain_Punisher replied to Man Parts 241's topic in New Player Discussion
No, due to underground stashes and people saving multiple identical items. Dupers are A issue, but are by no means the only issue. You all need to stop putting blame on duping and try holding the developers accountable for a flawed loot system -
You're right, stashed items should not count towards the total items allowed on a server. People have this fantasy that duping is the main problem. Couldn't be more incorrect. You have players that rush the map after a fresh wipe and gather up all the guns and bury them. Now guess what, a ton of weapons are buried which will not respawn and it had absolutely nothing to do with duping. You also have people with these weapons that join new servers. Add those guns too.
-
And you're right, they are supposed to be difficult to find.....not impossible. It's a flawed system outside of the duping issue. End of story

Lol No, duping is not as bad as ever. I do not dupe but I know of every current way to do it. It's much harder and time consuming than it used to be. I know guys that have duped in the past and refuse to take the time to do it now. And I can assume many more players feel the same. Also, let's consider the fact that there are only a limited number of weapons on a server. Let's say maybe a total 10 m4s are allowed on the server. You and your buddies jump on right after an update and server wipe. You rush every military location and gather up all the m4s you find. You bury those m4s in underground stashes that are near impossible to find. Let's say you grabbed 5 or 6 total. Now that's 5 or 6 m4s that will not spawn. There are only 5 or 4 left which up to 60 other players will grab up and stash. Now no m4s will spawn until one is lost or ruined. This is just what's on the map. Let's consider people that change servers and come into this particular server with an m4 in hand. That's one more extra that the server detects and wont spawn. If you dont think people are stashing multiple identical weapons then you are nuts. I met up with a guy the other night that had 6 m4s stashed underground. And I know he didnt dupe them. those 6 prevent more from being spawned. Just because you cant understand a basic concept, it doesnt mean that other people are naive.

Cause dupers arent the main issue. People like to take the blame off of the flawed loot system and players stashing an unnecessary amount of weapons and throw that blame into dupers. Duping was an issue but it's not nearly as bad now and takes alot of time and effort to do it.
