I've been playing since game preview and never really worried about food but since the last few updates foods not so easy to come by. How ever im enjoying it. I actually have to hunt, fish and cook food then stash it in burried crates. It adds a new element to the game for me that i never explored. There's something cool about chilling next to the fire roasting some steaks you just bagged from the hunt.

I think the devs are deleting servers. Mines still up but the population has exploded. It was low pop for the longest time but seems like over night more ppl are on it.

I've use a mosin but i just found the blaze. Gonna try to one tap them with bith berrels. I just hope i dont ruin the meat.

Is there a spot on bores, cows or deer that will drop them in one shot. I've been going for the head but cant seem to drop them that way with a single shot. Darn things alway run away too fast and i can't keep up. Im tired of knifing sheep.

As a fresh spawn at the start of the 1.04 update I bandaged a wound with the rags I started with. It gave me some sort of infection and I cant get ride of it. Since then I've taken the antibiotics found at the med clinics and disinfected all my rags but it still persist. I play with two character profiles on xbox and they both have the same infection. Is there a cure?

Burying wooden crates in the forest is the best way to hide your valuables. Like M4s AKs and ammo. Never bury them too close to your main base. Always watch your back while digging.

I think the update was fine. Stuff in crates can get a Little buggy. Not sure about the duping your talking about. Ive found the AK M4 LAR SvD UMP Wincester. I burried them all just in case though. I havent been to the coast since the update but maybe ill take a trip to investigate the rumors of duping and report back Sir!

I go to my favorite spot up north by tisy and find a berrel or craft crates. I fill each crate with a specific gun and its clips. Burry it in the forest and look for the next gun. Clothing and food as well. This takes time but it's worth it when you die. you'll be fully geared when you get back to your spot. Before the update i had multiple spots where I'd spend time collecting loot and burrying it. I had north South east and west covered. That way dieing wasn't so bad.

As soon as you find a tent it will be gone. Someone will definitely see it and take your stuff. I've given up on tents. I find a nice secluded, easy to remember patch of woods and bury dry back packs and sea chest. If you find a berrel put it in a tree or a bush. If you really want to build a base do it several yards away from you burried important loot. The built base is a nice distraction from the goods. Ultimately though the base will be torn down by jerks. Trust me kid, I've been out there a long time now and the world aint what it used to be.

I struck gold today. If you are about 1/4 mile inland along the coast and on top of dense forested mountain tops have been where i find masses of tents. I got lucky today and found a set of tents with a butt load of AKs M4s SVDs and even a LAR. Too much for one person. While nervously sweating my balls off i managed to fill 3 sea chest up with loot and got the hell out of there. And thats how you'll find weapons. For best results travel south to north along the coast hitting all mountain peaks. Take a shovel, your gonna need it to bury sea chest. -
I struck gold and found a duper base with a sea chest full of them. I loaded up a dry back pack with a bunch and burried it. I really want an assault rifle so im planning an ambush at a military barrek. I apologize before hand if you step on one but i have to do what i have to do.

Im a lone survivor and usually get outta dodge when i see other players or hear foot steps. My last encounter with a person scared the hell out of me. And him too. I was about to loot a house when i thought i heard foot steps so i paused but only heard the creeking of the house so i entered. i went in and proceeded upstairs. Someone was up there. Luckily i had my plate carrier on but still took a lot of damage. I was able to hit him with my 45 pistol a few times. He must have been in bad shap just like me. We both retreated into the woods and never saw each other again. Im sure under different circumstances we could have gotten along just fine:)

Dayz is in bad shape but i still come back to it because there is nothing like it. Every encounter is unique and every fire fight still gets my heart pounding out of my chest. I think patients is the virtue here. I have a feeling that one day we'll all be laughing at the past. Just like the time joey got his weiner stuck in the vacuum tube.

Why is the console player base trying to ruin the game even more with these massive duped tent towns and seachests??

I've tried to figure that out myself but haven't come up with any ideas. They spend hours duplicating guns and tents. But for what, only to sit on a mountain of Ak's. You only need 1 or 2. Half the fun of the game is finding the rare equipment, not sitting in one spot backing out of servers all day. They are low IQ and lack scruples. All I know is that the only good duper is a dead duper. I just hope the problem will be fixed on the next update. Lord I pray. But I doubt it. -
Welcome to the rock. It's called duping, that's why there's no guns. I've been playing since the game was in .062 game preview. Those were the good ole days. Since the 1.0 release people have been duping weapons, tents and other goodies out of spawn existence. Apparently it's being worked on but we'll see what happens after the next update. Stick with it, one day it will be the game that it should be.

Do assault vest, tactical vest and field vest offer any armor type protection. I usually have a plate carrier on. I know that offers protection. Seen it first hand but im not sure about other vest. I have a Dayz app with armour ratings but its confusing because the plate carrier is rated at 40% and other vest at 90% and im not sure how their numbers are working. What say you comrades?

Just wipe everything clean and restart. The maps are polluted with tents, chest and giant duper bases full of nothing. Its ruining the scenery. And causing such lag when approaching.

True you could find those guns at NWAF but you wont. Dupers have them all. Sorry to say. Welcome to DayZ.
