I’m clearly talking about PC. They’ve been broken since 1.02, so I assumed (admittedly my error) they would be the same on console. The intended method to equip should be to drag them onto the mask/headgear slot... Also, they certainly shouldn’t be an INFINITE rag. So the verdict? *uses rubber stamp* BROKEN Moderator-Edit: Removed unnecessary trolling.

@Jonas Levin Interesting, but that’s definitely not an intended mechanic. It’s more of a glitchy workaround. Also might only be possible on console. What does the RT button usually do? I’ll try the equivalent on PC, but am not sure it will work The devs have spoken about the issue. Here is the bug report https://feedback.bistudio.com/T139403 It was confirmed for a fix earlier this month.

No, it’s not just you. Bandanas got bugged in 1.02... they’re still bugged in 1.04. I’ve heard that they may be fixed come 1.05, though.

I have it on PS4 as well as PC, and have had no problems getting by. Your issues sound very much like mine when I first started playing though. You just have to learn where to go for certain items. The best solution to the majority of your problems is gaining more experience. Hopefully, once you have that, climbing/vaulting will be in, too! Also worth noting that I now look back fondly on the days I didn’t have a clue where I was, and was regularly dying to dehydration/hunger.. it’s strange.

Even in GTA, you get drunk once, and never wanna do it again. At least I do, anyway. I just can’t see any point in it being in DayZ. It would need some kind of boost to your stats for it to work. Currently, the majority of the playerbase refuse to use light sources at night, for fear of being vulnerable. There’s no way, they’re gonna blur their screens without some kind of buff. -

@Tyler Tee H C SG doesn’t count, old boy. Sorry, but you’re plain wrong there. Closed alpha, that only a fraction of PC players are testing, and a completely different dev team. 1.05 IS due as well. Coming to PC experimental next Friday! I mean, I’m not 100% sure, but it would be in line with the last 2 updates. Console will get their update next week, too. Should be a good week for everyone. @emuthreat Yes, you’d have thought they’d want to make more use of experimental, especially now it has its own ‘app’. 1.04 was pushed after 5 days, I think (3 working days lol). To be fair, it was relatively smooth, but they were still fixing major server-crash issues weeks later.

See the positive side of it. You know never to play on that server again because it is run by shitty people. Find other servers. What’s your general location, and play style? I’d be happy to recommend some. -
@drgullen I would feel the same if there were long gaps, but right now it’s around 6 weeks between updates. This is not too long a wait, and who doesn’t love a surprise? “Parity with 0.62 and the DayZ Mod – full parity isn't possible because of the engine specifics. While features from 5 years ago are exciting, we want to remind you: most of the features didn't really work properly back then, and this is why it wasn't a final game.” I admit, the above quote does not look good, but since I’ve started with the optimism, I may as well continue...😂 It could mean that features won’t be implemented in exactly the same way as the old versions, and because of that, can’t just be ‘ported over’, they have to be rebuilt from the ground up. This could also, potentially, mean that we will get even better features. It’s definitely vague, which is why there can be many interpretations. I’ve come to quite enjoy digging around for information, though. It’s a whole game in itself!

@maxon-69 No offence but FUCK your base! 😂 New patches trump everything. If I were to offer you 1.03 with a cool base, and loads of vehicles would you take it? If the answer’s yes, I don’t know what to say.

@drgullen I agree that one of BI’s main focus will be the new Arma game, (the are already recruiting for an unannounced game) but I think DayZ can cope. I’m of the belief that more people working with the Enfusion engine will only HELP DayZ, not hinder it. This photo of the Survivor GameZ has been circling, with people focusing on ‘monetisation’ https://trello.com/c/Ii4OQfDO Personally, my eye is drawn towards ‘heli-flying’ 😍 We know one of their focuses is climbing, and they only told us that because of the outcry, but I’m very positive that they are working on much more. It’s just gonna take time. If they keep updating as they have been, I’ll be more than happy.

@rickyriot I sympathise with your post but I don’t think we should make assumptions until we know for sure. Nobody can provide any concrete evidence that the development cycle is over. It’s all conjecture and speculation. In my opinion, it’s just the way the team decides to communicate now. Too much vitriol over the years because of missed deadlines, etc. If they keep expectations low, they can knock us out of the park when we get a cool update. The whole update cycle feeds into the longevity of this game. They’d be fools to stop that now. I think it would be sad if you left now, considering how well it is doing. I’d, at the very least, hope you consider a break, instead.

Watching an old dev blog from Rocket (yes, sad). At 14:15 he talks about the rubbish that is left behind after eating. When did that get scrapped? (pun intended). Also, he goes on to say this could play into tracking mechanics involving dogs, and FINGERPRINTS 😂 Wow, the scope was seriously high for this game! I’ll be honest, I could do without the dogs, and they’d probably be an absolute pain to implement, but being able to fingerprint and ID old tin cans would be fucking awesome. 1.05? 🤞🥺😏

Don’t spread false information. The servers are not twice the cost of PC servers. I agree they need to sort out the ability to kick players... I’m surprised Sony have not insisted on this, given their requirement for player names to be visible. Although, ImpulZ said that they are working on it. Why not just wait and see what happens, instead of moaning before the update is even out 🙄 -
Hi @ImpulZ, Could you please give some explanation for then defibrillator’s unconscious system (part of that medical system you have trouble explaining 😉) I’d been playing for hours with a friend last night, when I found the defibrillator, and was messing around with it. Long story short, I defib’d myself, and was in, what seemed like, a permanent unconscious state. My friend defib’d me again, used an eppy pen, saline, morphine, and so many chest compressions, but I didn’t wake up. I’m sure I read somewhere that you need to defib until they have a strong pulse, but that’s not very helpful when the 2 times we used it, wiped all the power from our batteries. I quite like the mechanic, and the defibrillator itself is a really cool piece of equipment, but to remain in that state indefinitely seems a little bit broken. In the end, I had to log out, which cause me to die, and respawn on the coast (I was at Tisy Summercamp 😕). Is this still a WIP? Perhaps 5-15 minutes uncon would suffice. I’d also like to see this kind of unconsciousness happen in other situations. I just think that chest compressions, and eppy pens should at least work whilst in this state.
