The temperature gauge changes slightly compared to the other gauge's, so it's just terrible in comparison. Unfortunate that you find out when it's too late. Hopefully it becomes much more noticeable.

Nine feet is three meters, deerstands are definitely not three meters high.

I wouldn't mind if the max you could bleed after being hit was down to 7k or something and the bleed and then it goes away. Obviously if you got hit again you would lose another 5k blood down to 2k, so almost everyone is still going to be bandaging, it can get minorly annoying when you respawn and (in my situation I was just a dumbass) almost bleed to death.

If you can move, hacked or bug, that's fucking awesome.

DayZ 1.7.2.4 Horrible texture bug!
spokely replied to FlatulentRemedies's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I posted something about artifacting in the other thread about this, may help some people. -
Both me and my friend last night found Ghillie suits and put them on no problem, no loss of backpacks or items at all. Most strange.

This is artifacting. When in game to flush video memory hold Shift and numpad minus (-) and then let go of them at the same time. Immediately type "flush" (without quotes of course), no window to type anything will pop up, but when you type it in you will get a black screen with receiving for a little bit and that flushes video memory. Arma 2 is the only game I've ever seen artifacting in, but my friend who also gets a lot of artifacting says that turning on vertical sync sometimes helps, though that's mostly for screen tearing. Yesterday I had to flush twice, the first time I tried it didn't really work so I waited a bit and kept moving on and tried again when we next stopped. Generally though artifacting is when a texture or model gets corrupted and one or a few pixels are way away from where they should be, so the model and textures do their job and texture in the item as normal.

The zombies freezing is a bug that I've found a few reasons for. One is firing a really loud weapon near them but proned or something. They don't technically know where you are(even though they should) so they just freeze. Another is if players disconnect near them, a few in a group will freeze while others continue as normal/disappear.

Good job finding one of the most sought after weapons in the game

Servers without friendly fire, aka pvp killing
spokely replied to a sleeping dog's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
It might even be more interesting if gear didn't transfer over from PVP to PVE servers and vice versa. That way I couldn't just server hop PVE servers without needing to worry about ANYTHING at all. At least if I wanted gear for my PVP character... -
[1.7.1.5] Bodies Disappearing WAY TOO QUICKLY
spokely replied to darkdavid08@hotmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Strange, I've fought with a few players and won, around 40 minutes later my AKM disappeared after I dropped it, so I went back to the body that I killed and I looted his AK74. This has happened a couple of times when a friend died in Berezino to a new player, so I looted up his tools and his AS50 and ran to pusta. We decided to go back to berezino and both the bodies were still there, unlooted. -
Thermal is in the game, completely fucking ridiculous, but the L85A2 AWS is incredibly rare. Still though the thermal scope is fucking bullshit.

you seem upset

Actually everyone calls it farming, so it's more commonly known as farming.

Yeah, it's definitely not impossible. I've made characters in the pitch black with a flashlight and lived on for a couple of weeks starting like that. It's just a pain in the ass.
