    Vicinity Issues

Yeah the waiting for the item to appear isn’t as bad as the losing things completely in a bush or a tree but both are pretty frustrating especially losing something you definitely need back immediately.

Developers cater to people with no life outside of this game

Ok I have tried my best to be civil, to be understanding of your frustration, to point out possible alternative perspectives and solutions to the things that trouble you and yet you insist on continuing the insults to people which I have to assume includes myself so maybe it’s time to be a little less civil and just call a spade a spade here. You claim that the people who spend what you consider to be an excessive amount of time playing that they have no life correct? Well what do you call it when someone who spends and excessive amount of time on a video game forum pissing and moaning and insulting people for things they are very much guilty of doing themselves? Would you say that person is a loser and “has no life?” On one thread you’re giving shit to a guy who’s upset that the game isn’t the way he wants it, then you turn around and do the exact same thing in this thread! Seems to me that the only person who “has no life” outside of this game but especially this forum is you chief! It’s obvious that the type of game you want to play isn’t DayZ because this game is ALL about the grind and strategy and acceptance that the only thing you will ever have control over is you and your style of play. Might I suggest a game that’s similar to DayZ but moves a little quicker, allows you to get and stay geared fairly quickly, can be played with a buddy and doesn’t require the sort of grind that DayZ is? Go play Scum. I think that game is more suited to your mindset and patience level. It has all the same sort of elements of DayZ except instead of zombies you’re dealing with killer robots. It’s set in an apocalyptic world, has military bases to get high tier weapons, PvP the whole kitten kaboodle. Perhaps check that out and see if that’s more to your liking but for the love of fucking Christ quit coming at people in this forum like you’re some sort of alpha dick head because no one is impressed by your presumed self importance there chief! And with that I am done contributing to this bullshit. Got a life to live you know 😝😂 ✌🏻

    Okay guys...WTF?!?!?!

I understand where you’re coming from totally but as I said earlier, we’ve all been guilty of doing this at one point or another so maybe we can all ease up on each other when that happens. I don’t know Stag but I imagine or assume his post was more of a cathartic vent about a situation we’ve all dealt with and he just wanted to vent his frustrations. I can’t be that upset about that because I too have posted a venting post at some point and probably will again at some point. It happens 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Xbox Update 1.02

Finally found a Tundra and thank god I decided to pick up that extra hunting scope when I found one for my CRZ. It’s a great rifle kind of long like the mosin but a little more sleek. Found it at one of the castles and have found most of the ammo at military tents and in hunting stands.

    Okay guys...WTF?!?!?!

I think everyone, at some point or another, has knowingly or unknowingly complained that the game should be played this way or that, myself included. I don’t want to pile on the guy for something EVERYONE does or has done at some point. Like I said originally, that until people realize the true premise of this game is understanding you have no control of how things will play out in the game then we’re bound to hear these sorts of complaints all the time. The challenge is, not reacting with condescension and anger towards those who haven’t quite figured it out yet (which being this is the internet is very difficult for some people to do)

I understand your frustration but do you realize anytime anyone in this thread has proposed a viable but more importantly REALISTIC idea you completely switch your argument. You want more loot to be spawned in and possibly more high value loot areas (albeit not so much loot that the game is no longer challenging) correct? You have also stated that duping is a problem (how long it’s been a problem is irrelevant btw) because you have to spend more time than you’d like having to search for loot which is 100% tied to the duping problem. You say some duper’s and players like yourself only dupe or have lost interest because the game is biased towards certain types of players that in your opinion “have no life” (btw you’re never going to win people over in any debate if you start out insulting people just FYI) and can sit and play all day correct? Based on your back and forth with anyone who has dared challenged your ideas of how to fix the problem, it’s not difficult to see that the only solution/s you’re willing to accept are either those that parrot your own or from those that agree with your state of mind about it sucking to have to grind for longer than you like. And in your response to me you’ve sort of flipped from “I want something that can make getting kitted up faster and easier”, to “it wouldn’t be fair if I spend x amount of time building a base but then have to start as a freshy if I want to play with a friend”. I thought your original complaint was the amount of time you have to spend accomplishing things in the game? That you don’t have time to spend hours and hours like those with “no life” that the game is so called catered too? Which is it chief? And the solution to playing with a friend is you both join the same server and loot up together or one of you joins the other on their preferred server (with the base that you might have built) and one helps the other gather the loot they want. It seems to me and I could be wrong here but it seems to me like first and foremost DayZ isn’t quite the right game for you in regards to how much time you want to spend playing it and achieving the goals you wish to achieve. Secondly it kind of sounds like at times you’re making an argument in favor of duping basing it off the idea that it takes too long to get the gear you want and because of this no solution will ever suit you besides as I mentioned above the only ones you’ll actually accept are ones that parrot your own line of thought which basically equates to “I want things my way and my way only” which means that myself and others who have taken the time to indulge you have essentially wasted their time. Correct?

This is not exactly true. I agree there seems to be a dramatic decrease in low pop but they’re still some. I just think if you take the number of servers we currently have then render half of them locked (aka duper free) then everyone who isn’t a duper which I want to believe is the majority will clamor for those servers. I agree with making half the servers locked but ONLY if they increase the number of servers at the very least by 20%.
  8. HiroCheeseMuh1

Developers cater to people with no life outside of this game

Except that means (unless they increase number of servers) every single server will be full. There will be no medium pop or low pop servers. Now if they like double the amount of servers currently then yeah I agree that’s definitely a solution.

Developers cater to people with no life outside of this game

Let me just start by saying I am a moron. I know nothing about game development, coding or even how it’s possible to talk into a device and those words float through the air and are received by someone else and it’s my actual voice they hear! As far as I know these things are all carried out with magic! I say this first because I know someone (who understands this shit or thinks they do) is going to respond being extra cunty acting as if understanding how loot systems and respawn engines work were as simple as understanding 2+2=4. So forgive my ignorance if I ask what you consider to be a stupid question but, wouldn’t the simple solution to solving the duping issue be a sort of hybrid between locking characters to a server and an increase in loot spawning/respawning? Meaning sure you can server hop if you want to but you start out as a fresh spawn when you hop to a different server every time but if you log back into a server you were already playing of course you have whatever loot you acquired in that server only! So the only way a player is going to be super kitted is they obviously have to grind in order to do it. It’s obvious that every other method will not work so why not just make it simple. You start as a freshy anytime you join a new server. Is there something I’m missing here?🤔

    Okay guys...WTF?!?!?!

Look, here is the reality of the situation: Players are going to play how they play, no amount of complaining is going to change that. The only hope is that eventually the KoS people and the duper’s will get bored with the game and move on. KoS has always been a huge part of the game and is partly what makes the game exciting to play. If you think the game wouldn’t instantly bore you to tears if the percentage of KoS players dropped off and the percentage of friendly “let’s sing kumbaya” dramatically increased to the point where you’re more likely to meet a friendly than a KoS player you’re dead wrong! It’s the fact that the friendliness percentage is low in comparison to the KoS’ers that makes the game exciting because it keeps you on edge. It’s the meeting that needle in a haystack (someone friendly) in a world dominated by Kos players that usually leads to an interesting encounter which would never exist if the percentages were reversed and you expected to meet friendlies all the time. This game really isn’t for everyone and I don’t say that to you as some sort of passive aggressive “why don’t you go play something else” statement but just as an undeniable fact. In order to fully appreciate this game, which based on the passion within your posts, you clearly do want to appreciate it but, in order to fully appreciate it, you have to come to terms with the idea that the whole premise of this game, what makes the game unique is the total lack of control you have over how the game plays out. It is a reflection of reality that a lot of players with your same complaint (myself included at times) haven’t quite figured out. You have about the same amount of control in the game and what other players do as you do in real life and what other people do. Life is chaos we’re deluding ourselves into thinking we have control over and DayZ is nothing more than a reflection of that but just with more obvious and quicker consequences.

    Night is now HORRIBLE!!!!!

I’ve been on all sides of this argument. I will still argue that night time is too long but as for the brightness or lack there of, I have mixed feelings: Yes it’s become unrealistic to be that dark being IRL your eyes would eventually adjust to the low light levels thus making it easier to see but, prior to this update the darkness was a little too bright to the point where realism was also being lost so it seems a happy medium needs to be found with the next update. I do like that you can essentially hide in plain sight at times (my favorite being standing in a doorway as another player searching for me walked right past me allowing me to get the drop on them) i also like that it sort of forces you to rely heavily on your memory of the layout of the town, landmarks and your own sense of direction if attempting to navigate sans a light source. It also makes looting military tents easier being players can’t camp via overwatch using the hunting scope anymore. Now if they want to camp the higher tier loot areas they have to actually find you in order to take action against you which goes back enjoying the ability to hide in plain sight thing from before. Yeah it’s harder to see the zombies (you can usually still hear them tho) but the good news is it’s harder for them to see you as well. In fact I’d say you probably have the visual advantage over them at night because I’ve walked right in front of them and they didn’t even detect my presence which was great considering the appearance of said zombie was a little bit of a surprise. I don’t know overall my only real complaint is that the night cycle is still a tad too long but at least I know I can go afk without a huge concern of being killed being people would have to literally bump right into you to find you.

    Xbox Update 1.02

Prior to this update I’ve pretty much been on team “all the whiners need to STFU!” but as enjoyable as it is that we’re sort of lock step with the PC version, it’s hard to maintain enthusiasm for the new updates when, and I can’t believe I’m saying this after so many posts saying it wasn’t as big of a deal as everyone was making it, because of the unchecked/unfixed duping, enjoying the new weaponry is impossible because you can’t find any. I hadn’t noticed or really cared about the lack of things like m4’s and ak’s because I prefer the hunting rifles and being able to snipe from a distance but now you can’t even find the hunting rifles and yeah I recognize my own hypocrisy when it comes to only things I cared about but, I’m on the same page now. The duping needs to be addressed before anything else going forward. No point in giving us new guns and new gear if none of us can ever find any of it because it’s being horded by cheaters. I don’t even get why these people play the game? How is PvP even considered a challenge or entertaining if you’re never in any real danger of losing except if you happen to come upon other duper’s? Go wreck fort nite or some other game you twats!

That feeling when you find .308 rounds or LAR mags but never the rifle to put them in 😔

Lock each character to a single server?

I did and don’t come at me with that cunty passive aggressive shit ok. I did specify that (not all) are pissers and moaners but considering the way you’re coming at me I think my point stands with my original post.
  15. HiroCheeseMuh1

Lock each character to a single server?

I understand where everyone is coming from with the irritation of ghosting, combat logging and the such but honestly I think some of you (not all) just piss and moan for the sake of pissing and moaning. How many times have you read someone saying the game is broken or “unplayable” and yet aside from the pissers and moaners most players love the game myself included. I get that for some people you just want the game to be played the way you play it but honestly that’s just not how things work. My play style might differ from yours. You might be losing sleep over the duper’s or ghosters while the rest of us really don’t give a flying fuck. This expectation that the devs not only have a fix for every single possible cheat but also to have what seems like psychic powers to foretell the possible million other ways people will find to gain an unfair advantage is ridiculous. Is the game perfect? No! Are there things that should be addressed? Sure! But some of you need to quit with all the damn whining about every single thing.

    Wolves?

I can’t believe I’m asking about this, but where are all the wolves? Has anyone encountered any at all since the update? Of course now that I said that I’m sure ill log on and now be eaten by a pack of them, but where the heck are they? Also I was a little unclear from the patch notes in regards to the wolves so maybe this is why I haven’t seen any but did the PN’s say the wolves would now attack only other animals or ignore other animals altogether? I know that it said the zombies would now be able to attack and kill the wolves but I’m just unclear in regards to their interactions with people. Any one?
  17. HiroCheeseMuh1

    M4/KA

I say skip looking for those and get you a CR or a SKS or like me, BOTH. Slap some scopes on and become a hunter/sniper.

Lol nope going steak free from now on 😁

Character rolls back and inventory disappearing

I just love how everyone can be a condescending twat on the internet
  20. HiroCheeseMuh1

Character rolls back and inventory disappearing

Yeah definitely. It’s a start and at least there’s something which is better than what it was
  21. HiroCheeseMuh1

Character rolls back and inventory disappearing

Yeah it happened to me and it seems because of accidentally duping a canteen. I don’t know how to dupe and have never tried it but two days ago I was playing around in my inventory trying to organize it which means I had to take things completely out of my inventory and my hands and then place them back into inventory in whichever order I chose. Well right in the middle of that I get kicked from the server, luckily none of my guns were out of my inventory but when I logged back in I had logged to a completely different server and realized the stuff I had taken out was gone so I logged back out and back into the original server I was playing on and suddenly I had 2 canteens instead of one and one more of each of the sodas I was carrying. Which I had mixed feelings about because I’m definitely anti-dupe but I also liked the idea of having extra water to drink. Fast forward a few hours later, the server restarts and when I get back on everything that had been copied was gone plus some things that weren’t.
  22. HiroCheeseMuh1

    Wolves?

Too late. Guess I should’ve kept my big mouth shut because sure enough last night I not only heard the howl I was also nearly eaten alive by about 10 of them near Tissy mil. 🤪

    The Xbox One launch FAQ!

Oh the condescension is strong in this one. So how do I respond to this without sinking to the same depths of condescension? My issue with your post was the whining and pretending like if you and your “friends” leave because you’re unhappy then BI and by default DayZ will be in shambles. I have the same reaction to Yelp reviews where because the red carpet wasn’t rolled out for someone they act as though their nickel is what’s keeping the business afloat. I also didn’t like the Weasley way you tried to make it seem like there were all these issues when really your gripe has more to do with not liking the controller set up above everything else. I agree with you that there’s still some things that need to be ironed out but if owned the game pre update then why are you acting like you had to fork over more money when the update hit? It’s that useless pissing and moaning that you and many others do that really set my response into motion. You have a brittle spirit if lack of absolute perfection on a game, that really is one of a kind and has no rival, gets you so upset you’re threatening to go elsewhere. My answer will still remain as “then leave!”
  24. HiroCheeseMuh1

    Wolves?

Troitskoe, pre-update was the other area I’d always get attacked. I’d be looting the scarcely equipped single solitary civilian barracks that sits in front of like 5 tents and because it has that one doorway with no door they’d pile in through there and I’d swear they would search every room looking for me.
  25. HiroCheeseMuh1

    Base builders off limits Truce

I don’t know, I’ve bounced back and forth in regards to the way some have chosen to play the game. When I first started playing I was very much on team “for fucks sakes can I just live” but it’s because of the encounters with Kos’ers that I learned to be more alert, wary of strangers and more importantly, that there is more real estate than just the coast that can be fun to play on or in. This of course lead to a more nomadic “avoid everyone” sort of play style at first which then made me yearn for more action because the game can get real tedious always flying solo. Plenty of times I found myself wondering what was the point of me gathering up this weaponry and these supplies if I avoid their uses. This then lead to wanting to mix it up more but by that time the duping had gotten way past out of control to the point where everyone seemed kitted to the teeth which meant little to no interaction with others and just a bunch of pvp. This again made me yearn for the “can I just live” days but, now I think I’ve found a good balance. I’m still very nomadic in ways but I do occasionally attempt interaction and it’s 50/50 in regards to the results of said interaction which is a good balance. I find myself now running towards the distant gun shots rather than away. I hunt to break up the monotony when no one is around, I’ve given up my pursuit of M4’s , Ak’s and VSD’s in favor of the SKS or the CR with scope, a hunting knife, a pipe and some sort of small secondary weapon which means I no longer need the big backpacks to carry a bunch of magazines and I avoid wearing military gear in favor of hunting gear as people seem more relaxed when you look like you’d rather take down a buck over a player. Ive also indulged in a bit of deviousness on occasion and sniped players from a distance. I find that there is fun to be had from all play styles and therefore it makes the game exciting because you never know who has chosen to play which type of way.
