Rolling fog would be a nice addition to set the mood and add some needed cover from bandits. Extreme Weather conditions would be a great way to make long hikes to other towns a challenge and require some good planning.

I'm all for seeing more random events and interactions with the world. More uses for medicine is also a plus in my eyes.

Kinda like that, I was leaning more towards if you do eat and you eat in a group together at the same time you could get a little health bonus for doing so. I was just thinking since if there are other people in your group and you all eat together that you would get a little added health bonus. Good for morale also sharing food with one another would be a more complete meal than just eating something quick and alone.

Grouping up with fellow survivors should have benefits. While being in a group you will be able to have meals together, having a meal together comes with benefits. While having a meal it is normal to have good conversation and to even share with one another. So while eating solo does the trick it is always nice to have someone around to enjoy the days meal with you. Having a meal with other survivors you will get an extra health bonus from all food eaten together. There should also be food pairing bonuses for certain foods that are eaten together. Instead of just eating a can of pasta why not pair it with some grilled chicken and a Mtn. Dew for an added health bonus. Some baked beans , a cooked pork chop and coke for an added health bonus. It's important to plan your next meal cause you never know when it's going to be your last.
