  1. When there are 5+ clan members on, it's a safe bet that they are probably there. When you join it says "No KoS" (even though they do it) and "Party at the Airfield!". Because of that latter message I assume they always station there. I'll bump the topic if I see them again.

Whats Being Done To Combat ESP Hacks?

I'm not saying it doesn't happen - I'm just saying it barely happens compared to the past. All I do is sit at the NWAF and PvP when I play. Sometimes I sit AFK and alt+tab into the game while I sit in a bush. Any ESP hacker would've toasted me, but it never happens. The only hackers I encountered so far (and I posted a thread about it, it's first page right) are admins spawning loot for themselves. I haven't once been killed by a hacker. For the amount of time I've put into the game and the amount of people playing it - that's extremely good.
  3. They own the server - so I suspect they can spawn the items. I don't own fraps. I just took a bunch of screenshots. I'll report them but IDK how much it will do. This is at least a good warning - stay away from that server and the NWAF.
  4. Got a "server lost connection" message so I D/C'd. Joined another server and there I was. I often end up inside of buildings or random objects when I get disconnected while playing. Play enough and it happens. I guess, not much I could do. I tried surprising them with my fire-axe. Hit each player various times and didn't see any blood or anything :(

    The grass problem

Indeed. I can live with only bushes and trees providing substantial cover against snipers - but if there was some way for tall grass to provide some cover against snipers too, I'd be really happy.
  6. Indeed. Welcome to a whole new world.

    Where is everyone?(Balota+NWAF)

Seems to be the same as the mod for me. I'm using the exact same tactics as always.

    Where is everyone?(Balota+NWAF)

What makes you think people go to air fields on high pop servers? You think people are eager to run all the way to the NWAF and collect loot just so they can get sniped and respawn? Try going to a 5-15 man server....

Whats Being Done To Combat ESP Hacks?

A lot of these hacks are fake and/or don't really work. Black hat marketers use SEO to push dated or non-working hack software and earn money through forced advertising, surveys, etc. I used to do the same thing, even ran a website called ***.org for 4+ months, and was always one of the very top results when typed into Google. None of the hacks worked, but it didn't matter - I was getting paid to get hackers banned. Doing research on my competition, most of it hacks floating around were out dated or didn't really work, and they only existed so people were just trying to make money off them. Eventually it came to a point where CPA advertising businesses don't want to deal with people making money off fraudulent hacks and their repercussions so I stopped. Others keep persisting though, because it's easy for them to circumvent the system and still make money off it. I don't do it anymore because it required a lot of extra work on my behalf and I'm lazy - christ I'm so lazy I didn't want to renew my domain, despite it's extremely high value at the time. I probably could have renewed it and sold it for $XXX. Having said that, I'm sure there are working hacks floating around, but there's not many people willing to risk their Steam account over a $30 game. Most of the hacks floating around are crude and easy to detect. In the DayZ mod there was a point where I couldn't go a day without being teleported into the sky. Considering I'm 70 hours in and haven't seen any foul play, I'm satisfied with how things are right now. I'm sure they're combatting the detection of common ESP hacks as we speak.

    The grass problem

This is my main gripe with 1st-person only modes. You have to crawl through grass that blocks only YOUR visibility.

How do you deal with playing lone-wolf?

Couldn't have said it better myself. I've played this game with practically all my friends - being alone is most effective, simply put. I've wiped squads of 4 single handedly at NWAF by sitting in bushes. Rarely do groups get the element of surprise - they mostly just get ambushed.
  12. I'll buy another game copy and give it to a friend if Rocket adds shit-flinging.
  13. It's pretty simple stuff really - the new medical system. It adds depth and complexity to the game. It becomes too much when it becomes a contrivance to the experience. As far as I'm concerned, the system in the DayZ mod was too cartoonish and too simple. The direction they're going towards is more representative of a meaty game with replayability due to the vast amounts of possible options and scenarios. I'm not sure why people are so afraid of additional gameplay details? As long as it's roughly modeling how real life works - it should all be relatively intuitive and straight forward, no?

    DayZ SA Character Reset

Maybe he didn't log out in a safe location?

Whats Being Done To Combat ESP Hacks?

Do you believe they are already common in game? I haven't seen in any evidence yet and I've been playing daily since SA's launch.

    Musical instruments?

I like this idea too. Especially if you could adjust the volume so it reached up to a 120m range or something cool like that.
  17. When it comes to PC game software development, optimization is mostly done in the beta phase. You'll have to wait. That was the point of their posts, which clearly went over your head.

    Musical instruments?

If they just include a guitar and playing animation, you could play over the mic. Download Guitar Pro, some guitar tabs, and you're good to go.

    Steam Achievements

Tons of people "dayz is sooo boring there r no objectives or goals! all u do is run around!"

    Instant Death

I was running around a 5 man server and I insta-died just running around forest part of the NWAF. Kind of lame...hasn't happened once in my 50 hours of DayZ. There was no audible noises of anything of any sort.

    Binoculars in SA

In addition to binoculars, they should add a monocle that you can wear on your eye and gives you 3x more zoom advantage when holding right click.

My gear is starting to haunt my game.

OP, if you have 125 hours in the game, why are you such a newb? NWAF is typically empty or avoided in full player servers because people are afraid to die. Go to a 10-25 player server and run around the NWAF. I've killed 4 players in the last hour doing this. I don't even waste time collecting gear - I simply grab a Mosin, kill a couple players, and by then I have everything I need.
  23. The system is pretty flawed and I'm pretty sure only an ape thinks it's okay in its current state. As I'm posting, I'm waiting after a 3rd connection attempt to a server. Why is it that half the time I join a server it fails? And then why am I punished for the game failing? I ate a sandwich each time I failed to join a server, I'm turning into a fucking lard ass because of this shitty patch.
  24. That is a full measure indeed, but unfortunately until the game consists entirely of private hives - we will want to focus on fixing issues with the main public one.
  25. But where does it end? I mean, in the end, is running and and exploring for loot EVER going to be faster than server hopping? Unless you're trying to cause the majority of players a great inconvenience, server hopping is never going to be stopped with something as simple as a lengthy log-in timer. Rocket needs to reintroduce loot spawn cycles, as well as loot despawning from areas where players spawn in (150m, for example). With a 5 minute wait and 10 minutes of checking the loot and then running out of the loot despawn radius, people would be far less likely to server hop. Instead of making the mechanic too dumb and simple - he needs to refine it. Make it so loot won't despawn if players who aren't logging out are within 50m of that loot. Then make it so loot spawn cycles aren't short enough that people can feasibly camp them. Essentially, what's in place is a half measure that doesn't fully stop what it's trying to stop. We need a complicated full measure to add some balance back to the game. Tons of servers already have this issue adequately resolved in the DayZ mod.
