Thanks, that helps a lot, but I searched for 10 minutes before making my post dingus, it's not like there aren't dozens of threads with relatable search tags that don't relate to my problem or have threads lacking solutions to my problem. It's easy for you to point these out because der...you posted in them already. How convenient for you? :thumbsup: You should actually try searching how many thread results come from the keywords "can't attack bug"- and I scour Google, not just this forum specifically. -

I'm not sure if other people can confirm this for themselves, but I've pinpointed it to it happening to me only when a zombie attacks me. If I get attacked by a zombie, I'm unable to attack, every single time it happens. -

Has this happened to anyone? Or is there at least a reasonable explanation? I had a backpack with some saline bags and a Sporter 22 rifle (nothing to brag about), and was auto-running down the eastern coast. I decided to poo so I let my guy auto-run down the coast. I came back and my backpack is missing and so is my rifle. I still have my pickaxe, all my clothes, and all the items in my clothes. Wat ze heck happened?! -

I always thought Rocket wanted to steer away from having having blatant high-end military rifles in the game, but it seems he's going down that path anyways, and honestly I prefer there being an existence of powerful weapons as long as they are incredibly rare. -

I've been having a great time this patch. - Ragdoll makes killing bandits, fresh spawns, and zeds more interesting. Could use tweaking but still great fun. - Zombies no longer traveling through walls to get me inside buildings. They actually have somewhat efficient pathfinding now. - Zombies actually present some form of threat. Feels like I haven't been hit by zombies in ages, and this patch has already led me to be eaten by zombies many times. - Loot tables seem great. Usually I find houses are always empty and never has useful loot, and now it's the opposite - I've been finding useful loot in all types of buildings. This is nice because there's actually a reason for me to scavenge larger cities now. -

I have a keyboard that lets me bind macro's. They are pretty cheap. I just have it spam "W" every 10ms with a toggle, it keeps me sprinting... -

I agree that this definitely needs looking into. I'm not sure why there is an ambient noises similar to someone drinking, but it's ridiculously annoying and needs to be taken out. If I'm listening for players, I shouldn't be distracted by pseudo-sound. -

The graphics are definitely worse. I'm not sure what they changed, but the graphics definitely look slightly downgraded from where they were a few patches ago. One thing in particular that they changed that I don't like is that you have to turn up post-processing to use SSAO. I fucking hate the post processing in this game, especially the forced Depth-of-Field effect, it looks like someone took Vaseline and smeared it all over my screen. So now I can't get beautiful SSAO without ugly thick DoF effects. Why the hell would I want DoF? I want to be able to actually see things in the distance... -

Simple solution - let people have lockboxes so they can store their gear indoors and put it behind fortification. I don't know why people are so dead-set on tents. The entirety of DayZ doesn't have to be designed around the concept of tents, there are other ways of persistent storage... Frankly, the idea of filling the maps with empty forest just so people have places to hide their tents is retarded. They can add new ways to store and hide things. -
Feigning death should be a real thing. Obviously it wouldn't be effective against zombies, but it would an extremely fun and useful feature that could be extremely helpful in certain situations. And why not? It's realistic enough - anyone can play dead. Examples of where it would be useful... - You can feign death to trick long-distance snipers and shooters - Feign death to bait players into a trap (if you have friends with you) - Feign death among other corpses to avoid attention from players (or scare them) I want it!

The atmosphere needs work. But honestly, zombies will never scare me. Players on the other hand are quite scary. And extremely unpredictable. I just camped at the NWAF, server hopped all sorts of servers for 2 hours, and didn't see a single player. Until I decided to scout for soda - in which a player walked in on me right as I was taking a sip. I shat my pants, and honestly never felt so bad about dying in DayZ. -

Shows you know jack shit about hackers. Hacks are almost exclusively hosted on forums (consisting of COMMUNITIES). People don't want to get banned so obviously people are going to flock to hacks that have been recently confirmed as undetected, which typically only happens on a forum. The vast majority of hackers aren't going to piss $30 every week on a new account to play DayZ. Better to ban the majority of hackers rather than just a handful, right? That's precisely what they already do. No, there are most certainly dumb ideas, such as the idea that there are no dumb ideas. -

BattlEye works fantastic. I haven't seen a single hacker in my 100 hours of play time in Standalone. Some thoughts on this thread... - Instant banning hackers is retarded. How would this better counter hackers? One guy gets banned, tells everyone, nobody touches the hack, a new undetected hack comes out the next day. Nothing is accomplished. The point is to ban hackers, remember? - Hacking isn't something that is "allowed" to make profit. Hackers have the potential of ruining a game's reputation, which is far more important than allowing hackers to run amok. How does banning hackers in waves encourage hackers to rebuy the game versus banning them instantly? There is no difference. This idea is such a farce, anyone who seriously thinks this is true should unplug their computers from the internet. - Your hacker report is WORTHLESS, that's why Valve and any other gaming company doesn't accept hacker reports! They can't do anything mere suspicions of people hacking - they aren't going to create some super-Admin DayZ characters and stalk players that have been accused of hacking. And obviously they aren't going to ban someone because you claim you thought they were hacking. Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? -
Bro, the game isn't trying to be a military sim. It's not aiming for the exact same level of realism as the ArmA games. The system in place is fine, and it doesn't break my immersion due to its level of realism.
