Helped a guy out the other night with port forward issues. He had a modem and a router between him and the internet. The fix was port ANY -> Game ports in modem to get to router. Game port -> Game port in router to get to server.

With the PlayStation announcement does that mean there could be Linux server news coming down the pipeline? Anyone hear any other whisperings about it?

Experimental Update 1.03.151511
Bonesaw314 replied to Baty Alquawen's topic in PC Experimental Updates
Well that was rewarding! My Issue was not only valid but the first one listed as fixed 😁 Keep up the great work looking forward to all the current additions and improvements for 1.03 and those to come beyond! -
Oh, I didn't know it was broken. I haven't done much other than read what info I can find. So I was mostly thinking about the messaging I'd want. I know for me a big reason I don't stick out the night on most servers is I don't know how long it will be when logging in.

I know you can edit the day night cycles in xml and you can add a messages.xml. But is there any way to trigger a message similar to the old character status but for server time. For instance: Dusk/dawn is approaching. It will be dark/light soon. It is "midnight"/"noon" I feel that if players have a general idea of what time the server is at or will be at getting through the night would be better for some. I'd love to combine this with a over all.message of the length of day/night cycles. Does anyone else think that would be helpful? Ideally we'd have a variable for server time we could put into messages like we do for server name and port. It wouldn't be very immersive but would be helpful.

Did you modify the config file in place without renaming it? if you renamed it and set your launch configuration to use the new name it shouldn't have changed. But if you only use the file that was there with changes it's possible that the update over wrote it. When making changes make sure you save with them off just in case.

They are on record saying the game client will not be coming to Linux sadly. We can only wait for the server info though, as in the same breath as no client support they confirm Linux server will be coming. I believe it is in the previously linked video.

So that is good for 30 as well as 60 people, and there are no bandwidth concerns?

Hi, I was wondering if there are any advanced server requirement details depending on the number of active players on the server. I see the info in the server documentation thread but was wondering if there could be more in the future and what sort of maximums are recommended for user count. One thing I didn't see mentioned, not sure if I missed it (on mobile), are bandwidth requirements. Thanks!

Look forward to more info on Linux support. Thanks for making the info recap.
