Murder has always seemed to me as primal and implied in everything humans do. I feel that some people just don't understand that the ends don't justify the means in this regard. How you get there is just as important as getting there, and who you've killed along the way. After all, if you can't look back on what you've done and smile, you need to rethink your path ahead. But anyways, I digress...

Maybe it's a symptom of surviving the apocalypse? That is, only those with the medical conditions of Hemophilia and Osteoporosis were able to avoid becoming zombies during the outbreak.

Ya it looks like it all comes down to luck and a leap of faith. Showing someone you trust them by making yourself vulnerable so they know it becomes their choice to trust or not. But even then, after reading the 'confess your sins' topic in the bandit campfire, some people just wait around until just before you gotta log off then shoot you in the back. The only separator I can think of between bandits and players is a bandit will never take a chance to earn trust of another player by making theirself vulnerable while decked out in lots of gear. Still, there's no faster way to die than to trust someone during an apocalypse.

Technically it's not a game yet. It's an alpha. I too would like to see the animals act like animals. There was this one time near an airfield I thought I was being stalked in the middle of the night by a gillie sniper so I hid, repositioned, and waited. Turned out to be a boar...

I'd settle for being able to send in a picture or parameters of some sort of yourself and having it used to add random zombies to the game.

There's a message that appears in white text behind the gear menu when you try to wear camo or gillie as a female character. It was something like: will be implemented later. So it's on their todo list. No worries. Oh and YES to including miniskirt on new female clothing. Quickest way to get appointed as 'pointman' when crawling into a high value area.

What did you expect? Bandits and friendly players alike would both give the same answer or even go as far as to ask that same question leading to the paranoia conclusion to shoot everyone you haven't established trust with beforehand. Unless they're one of those bandits looking for a relatively fair fight.

I would like a sprint option. I'd also like to see the zombies stumble and fall over if chasing a target for long distances or run into something like a fence or tree.

It's a known issue by the admins. Apparently there's a hole in the arma 2 engine that allows cheaters to run any script you can imagine, which leads to the most common hack: spawning vehicles and other things from arma 2 into dayZ. Awwww, well I as was kinda hoping for setting up a resource generating system and of course only the people who cleansed/defend the town would have access to it leading to more bandit attacks to loot said resources, which leaves the town open to being quickly rezombified. But I guess that's actually more of a different kinda game. Currently feels more like sniper wars.

1. New and formidable types of zombie threats. 2. Craftable traps that use grenades, axes, or chemlights/flares. 3. Walkie-talkies / military-radios with general and private chat options or just a bunch of different usable channels.

The bandit players do have a point. What do you do after you collect/assemble all that cool gear if not to use it on others? I still like that one bandit who spends all his time doing one of two things: Find fuel and run people over.

The only problem I have with the having a persistent body representing your character after your connection is closed is if someone deliberately closed your connection to the server so they could kill your defenseless character and loot its body, which would be your local evil exploit admins / vindictive clan servers. But I admit I like the option of having the quick disconnect as the only possible defense against hacks. As for spawning in, I'd like to see an option to spawn if there are players nearby. For instance a warning message such that if someone spawns (with players nearby) the players near them will be given a message informing them that a player has connected near them with a possible countdown delay applied to the connecting player. Or the other choice that would avoid the chat inform message would be to wait for the players near the connecting player's spawnpoint to leave that immediate area so they can safely connect (relatively safe).

3rd Person View, why I support it, and why it should stay in game

Hi, noob here. How does third person work? I've never been able to get it to work. As such, I don't like the idea of someone spotting me before its even possible to spot them no matter how careful I am but I've always loved using 3rd person mode when driving vehicles in other games. -
And not get shot by them the moment you help them? (Been reading about murders in the bandit campfire story thread) The scenario I envision here is there's someone on the ground who is either bleeding to death or unconscious and there is (assumed) no external threat. Should I just drop some supplies nearby and take off? Also, does putting your cursor over someone really generate a bandit heartbeat if they've killed innocents before?

Balancing PvP/Bandits + End-game Goals

As a l4d fan I do like the idea of having an objective based endgame that builds on teamwork while increasing the departure of highly equipped survivors rather than leave them around bored and looking for people to stalk/shoot. I think I'd prefer to see this staged on a different type of server that you need to find an ingame pass/object to join it (such as a military comm device that allows for communication and possible tracking of everyone who has one). Then you could do things like have cataclysmic events play out such that if you don't get rescued or get a viable end game option by the end of the week, you die(mass carpetbombing/nuking). Or some such additions that add a whole new level of difficulty for players. Like having the nightmare/hell/inferno settings in diablo 3. And if you live your fully viewable character gets put permanently into the hall of hardcore survivors along with a note on who was with them, total and type of kills etc. -
Yes, just as others say: fix the iron sights. I had stopped using it after I lost 3 bolts. Love the idea of finding a crossbow quiver to store bolts in. And if there's only one change to make please please add the bolt to the zombies inventory when you shoot them. So very annoying being able to see an arrow and not be able to pick it up as the part with the grab option is blocked by the zombie inventory and the ground, all the while being able to fully frisk the zombie for anything else they might have. Or is this going to be left as is due to 'It's not a bug, it's a feature!' mentality >.>

I would love there to be super rare but ultra deadly mutated zombies that you can come across near high valued places. Would be neat if it had a whole different ai to it such as completely blind but super sound sensitive (with like the ability to track distant sniper fire to a source) but that might be asking too much. Then all I'd need to do is watch and make a video of bandits getting eaten by said super zombie while they sniper camp places like cherno. But as subtle changes go I would like to see things such as military zombies be slower than others since they carry all that gear and are harder to kill.

Killing for loot isn't my style. Dropping off some spare meat and bandages like a god damned post apocalyptic tooth fairy is always on my list of things to do before I die, that is, without getting killed doing it. Plus that way when I do kill someone, it will be because I've seen/felt them in action and fucking hate their guts so everytime I glace over at the murders/bandits killed I can think back to everyone of those moments and smile. -
I recommend avoiding cherno and electro at all times (unless you really have a deathwish or are looking to kill others). I crawled 2 miles to a hospital then later the first deer stand I climb I find some damn morphine in it as if dayZ is mocking me in some way or maybe they just have a higher spawn rates with exception of the hospitals.
