did the gun have an icon picture in the inventory? I know thats one thing Rocket said all legit gear has a real icon picture. But yeah I dont see that weapon on the wiki but was just wondering about the icon picture.

Just leave the coast and hit every store on the way up the the big airfield. I always find plenty of guns on my route up their. M1911, Crossbow's, Revolvers, CZ550, Lee Enfield, Winchester 1866, Makarov PM and even a M24 once. Of course plenty of hatchets, and crowbars can be found as well. I honestly kill more zombies with my hatchets than any of my elite weapons. The hatchet doesn't make any real noise and honestly sniping from a tower is cool the first 2 or 3 clips. But when you realize when you try to get down and there is a horde beneath you thats not to fun lol.

The notes thing is a must. Currently I have a notebook with Different Servers and local times of server locations. In my notes I have things like if I left a tent here, and location, blah blah. Server List Favorites is a must as well. Glad to see the work you have put in. Can wait to try it out. I think you have already put in everything I Felt is lacking from Six Launcher -

I prefer the hatchet and supplies over other weapons. I have made it to the airfield several times with just the hatchet. Not that big of a deal. Now making it without taking any damage or killing anything is a bit harder.

Game Definitely needs to be harder. Lol back when I started playing a few weeks ago I would have never said that. But Hordes need to be implemented. Gun shot sounds travel over a long distance and even though zombies might not be in visual range to chase after you, they should atleast still turn and start walking towards the sound they believe they heard. If this could be implemented eventually in game there would be hordes randomly roaming all over the place. The Idea of cannibalism is great. It makes perfect sense to have it in game realistically people would eat other people when times got tough it has happen in real life on a number of occasions not just with that plane crash. Zombies should also be able to kill animals and make the meat not edible. Definitely not enough animals in a game. I mean when is there ever just one cow on a farm? I understand that you don't want to make getting food to easy but changes could be made to make the animals behave more like real animals. I almost rarely shoot the animals. But even with a hatchet if there was more than one I shouldnt just be able to walk up to it and start hacking away. Either make them run away if your not sneaking up on them. And when you start to kill one it should make noise. Noise makes the other animals run away, and also makes them start making noise. Noise draws in the zombies and that in turn makes it difficult to gut the animal because zombies are coming. If you start shooting more zombies come and the longer you stay around the further away zombies will come from to attack once they get in visual range.

DayZ is Rocket's Project, and he started that project before he got hired at BI. But even so I doubt he would leave BI to pursue another company. Biggest thing is Map Size I have yet to see anything that size via EA, or Valve. It's all about the Engine. Now Techland's (Poland) Dead Island is another story. On the whole this game maybe bigger but they break it up over several different parts that do require loading which I don't know if they can force everything to be shown at the same time. Chrome Engine is new to me and havent really seen to many games with that. The only other game is Call of Juarez: The Cartel that I know of. For Graphics Dead Island was on point. But Honestly the Engine that I think that would work perfectly and I believe will have a huge zombie version early next year is the Grand Theft Auto V Engine. RAGE. With the success of Red Dead Redemption:: Undead Nightmare. I can't Imagine that Rockstar wont have a zombie mode in the big wide open world of Grand Theft Auto this time around. Now the RAGE Engine is capable of making HUGE areas even on console and graphics are pretty decent. Bunch of capable animations as well. That would be my engine of choice unless I wanted the best looking zombie game then I would probably still pick Techland's Chrome Engine. -

Yeah definitely a big issue because I live in the midwest and a couple of the Atlanta servers and chicago servers I join in the early afternoon 12pm-3pm will be night time and I'm like wtf is there an atlanta, and chicago on the other side of the world I don't know about lol. -

Yes when I first started playing I was having the same issue as well. The key is the zombies line of sight. If you break line of sight you will be good. Easiest ways I do it is Pine Tree's The ones that look like christmas trees. The leaves stick out very far and all the way to the ground. I will run towards and soon as I pass through or close to it I go Prone. Zombie will just stop as long as your not making noise and keep him out of sight for a few more seconds. Another way is to hit a couple of corners around buildings then go prone. Sheds work very well because you generally can hit two corners of the shed before the zombie reaches the first one then go PRONE. (Example Running towards Shed, the Past it make a LEFT, then another LEFT then PRONE right against the side of the shed.) Anything that breaks the line of sight will allow you to get away. Lol I ran for about 35 minutes back when i first started had something like 7 Zombies chasing me I gave up too.

Did it several times today at ROG at the big tower there someone had placed razer wire in front of the entrance. Lol at my ASCII art below But best I can do to describe how i bypassed the wire. Door Wall====Entrance====Wall First What didn't work I tried roughly 25-30 times using the V (hop over) going straight on facing towards C that didn't work at all and didn't get me anywhere. I tried running starts, crouch starts, slow starts. FAIL every time. I went from A - B facing towards the entrance and didn't work. NOW what did work. And I tried it multiple times, and even had another person do the same thing. If you go to either end, A, or B and Face the opposite Letter (End) then hit the V key (Hop over) Then it will work. So if you go to A make sure your shoulder is against the wall, and your facing B. Then when you hop over you hop into the Razer Wire Side ways, instead of trying to hop over your hopping in. Work every single time tried it from both ends and I never broke a leg nor cut myself after doing it 5 times from each side. Now getting out was a little bit tricker but it is still doable without hurting yourself. -

I wear some nice color shades in game and changed my face in game. It seems like everyone uses the default face, accessories, and voice. They have like 10 different eye wear choices, and what seems like 70 faces. -
A Realistic Means of Facilitating Group Play

It's simple but double the work you just have two types of servers just like in any game were your roaming around. In other games you have PVP, and PVE. In this game you would have the servers the way they are now, and grouping friendly servers. From what I have seen in my limited play. People that are totally against making finding groups easier already have a group of people they play with. Me I have always been a solo player in games of the survival type. But in this game its not really realistic to try and solo especially when your first starting off and the infected are all around the areas where weapons may be. I have been playing PC Games since The Original Castle Wolfenstein in the 80's. I have played all most every MMO, and I understand this MOD is something fresh and new. But like the OP said having the choice to choose would not ruin the game. I agree with him but with one change. I dont think the choice should be in game, but rather a feature of the server. So you join which server type you like that way nobody is crying. The idea simply put is to survive people should have the choice to survive the way they wish. There isnt an end game, there arent say levels to max out to, sure there is better gear to be had, but not gear sets. So there is nothing to do but survive. I just need Machete's and or Swords havent seen any of those in game yet, they may be some but for me thats all I need. I'm not the COD, BF, GR SOLDIER, I'm The Joe Musashi, Shinobi (Alot of the young kids wont know who Joe Musashi is but he was the Main Player in the 80's arcade game Shinobi)Type of Player. Guns or to easy and to loud. Knives, daggers, machete's, grappling hooks, ropes are the way for me to play. What breaks games is not having enough time and man power to develop games. In order to get enough man power, and time to develop eventually you need money. In order to get enough money your alpha has to appeal to a big enough group of people to fund the project. Hardcore gamers are awesome but honestly they are only a small fraction of the people a game could get. Ultimately having choices is what allows more people to play which leads to more money. -

Best comment ever lol. Maybe until they pick up a weapon new spawns should not be able to be killed by friendly's that aren't so friendly. (Of course zombies, falls, and everything else will still be able to kill) -

im happy with the 1.7.2 update, but im still not happy about infected being able to open doors I can't imagine a stumbling zombie opening a door it does not compute for me. climbing ladders is fine if the ladder goes all the way to the ground, if it does not then a infected should not be able to climb. Before this latest patch i died alot because shooting would just bring a horde of zombies. Now I can use knives, and hatchets and get ninja kills to clear out an area.
