I would also like to 'bump' all the comments asking for free look being changed... Free look on a click stick just feels unnatural and unholy lol.

You should familiarize yourself with the coastal towns first, as being able to know where you spawn helps game time tremendously. Also, if you don't have a compass, you can easily determine what is North by keeping the ocean side to your right, and conversely you can determine South by keeping the ocean to your left. Like @DayzDayzFanboy said, communicating in game is key and you're gonna wanna have that mic handy; talking can reduce the chances of you being killed on sight a lot. Most people adventure on the coast and to the main military bases; (NWAF, Tisy, etc.) You're gonna find lesser amount of people generally the further West you go into the map. Running with people is advantageous because "strength in numbers" really rings true in DayZ. If you'd like to run with some people sometimes, I am also down to help. On our free time, we even maintain a public/trade base in Berezino that's open to all friendlies and we get our daily dose of PvP. -
I feel like you're going to be waiting awhile then buddy, but bet, we'll run when you get back on. I actually gave DayZ a 1 month hiatus as Im on vacation, am also waiting on the next update. Currently in the Philippines/Japan 'fiending' for my daily DayZ fix more than my weed lol.

There's a 15 second log-off timer and a 90 second timer on joining servers you weren't previously in, but sometimes the timer doesn't kick in and you can still 'insta-hop.' Aside from that, there are no renditions to fixing server hopping.

Lol did I say that though, no I did not. You even have other Console players disagreeing with the thread-starter's tone. Look at how you replied to my comment, already you are implying that it was unintelligent and not acting of an adult, but I haven't said anything bad about PC players. You're lumping us all into one category and spurring that elitist attitude that's just nonsense. How is your reply in any way the same level as my comment, but ok bud... and to sign it with "Enjoy?" Lol quit patronizing me and then trying to take the moral high horse, its hypocritical and in no way contributes to anything. If you feel attacked, then isn't more "adult" to not reply at the same level? But I'm not gonna waste any more time addressing that.

You have to understand what constitutes the definition of a game preview by Xbox standards though. As you can see, soliciting "community feedback," regardless of the game being updated, is still an expectation. We know what we're getting into, however, no other title in Game Preview status get's treated this way. A game preview is also made with the intentions of polishing the XBOX version because its on XBOX, not using it as a monetary gain to finish PC and then say there's no ETA on Xbox updates... Im not salty and I love the game, just saying. "What is Xbox Game Preview? Xbox Game Preview is a way for our fans to preview and purchase work-in-progress digital titles, participate in the development process and help developers make Xbox One games the best they can be. How does Xbox Game Preview work? Xbox Game Preview games can be purchased and played like regular titles. Because the games are still in development, they might be missing content, contain bugs, or need extra balancing work that will come later via updates. Similarly, select Xbox One features like Share may also be unavailable until the final game is released. Once the game is purchased, you are entitled to every update as the game moves to its final commercial release as well as the final version of the game when it is finished. Is there a chance the game I purchased will never be finished? We work hard with Xbox Game Preview applicants prior to approval to make sure they have a plan to update their title going forward and solicit community feedback. That said, games purchased in Xbox Game Preview are a work-in-progress and may or may not change over time. We cannot guarantee all games available in the program will be finished."

What's up with the constant hate on Console players? You act like we're picking fucking religions bro, how are you going to "game slut" us for not wanting to play on PC? Many of us play on both, excuse us for occasionally wanting to enjoy casual couch gaming. God forbid we want to play video games and relax at the same time! First of all, we have every right to complain about a broken game because what BI is doing is detrimental; we understand 'game preview,' but no other game under a preview status gets ignored as much as DayZ. To become a game preview on Xbox is no easy feat, and to handle DayZ this way can severely affect an Xbox player's trust in what constitutes a "game preview." This goes beyond DayZ. We were literally a cash grab, we're 3-4 months behind PC, and we get admittance that there is no ETA for Xbox updates... Saying that we have a low attention span or just overall disrespecting us as gamers simply because we want feedback is asinine. To call us typical gamers and then shame us for that is just redundant and retarded, because yes, many of us are typical average gamers which is why we invest in a console and not a modular PC to play our games. What in God's name is so wrong with that..? With that aside, as you can see, many of us put in hundreds if not thousands of hours already into the console version so we don't even constitute a 'typical' player. We also made DayZ forums for extra involvement into the community and to provide feedback, and people like you harm the community more than DayZ's lack of updates. We get called toxic but we can't even play the game on Xbox for fear of chubs like you calling us out on it.. gtfo outta here bro. AND I like the game despite its shortcomings, which is why I provide feedback and try to involve myself with the community. Voicing our displeasure at a lack of communication is beneficial to BI, giving constructive criticism is beneficial, asking for feedback on a game we support is just common sense. ON a side note, what's up @TheYetiBum I saw you on stream. What's your tag @bent.toe? Maybe you'll have more fun running with some friendly people.

Experimental Update 1.0.150000
Tropic_Pineapples replied to ImpulZ's topic in PC Experimental Updates
@ImpulZ Are there plans to bring server hosting to Xbox? Im not a programmer like all these other self-claimed people, so I don't even know if that's something possible, but if so, I'd love to pay/host a server immediately, faults and all. Are there also future plans to bring modding to Xbox? Will very popular community mods get implemented into DayZ? -
People, they've said to expect server wipes attached with every update. Updates come out weekly to every two weeks. Plan accordingly. Everyone has to deal with server wipes, but its up to you whether or not you're still going to build bases or just keep waiting. Either way, server wipes on a server update are practical and should be expected.

Thank you for the update Bohemia! But please, fix the cars. Driving on anything besides an Xbox One X is almost impossible, and going over 40km/hr can recreate frame drops and lag spikes 100% of the time. Driving through towns, buildings, or over zombies can also cause wonky reactions such as "flying" through the map. Please 'tweak' the damage of cars more as they wreck from love taps we can't control. Cars on DayZ take hours to build but seconds to destroy; countless times has the game crashed while driving just to log back into a wrecked car.
