    Agree Core Dead do you know if the speed at which you move is dependent on restoring humanity? Not hard to lock down a key crawling through the forest and walk away for an hour.

    My 1.5.8 Ideal Patch Notes: -Modified spawning algorithms of zombies slightly, so they don't respawn as close to players. -Number of zombies kept exactly the same -Crossbow hit registration problems fixed. -Slightly re-balanced some weapons, along with spawning probabilities. -Added batteries for flashlights that must be changed intermittently. Must be replaced after 2-3 hours of constant use. -Added more spawn locations around shore area. -Environmental effects on character beginning to be implemented: a.) Added raincoats, ponchos. b.) Added shoes, boots as gear that can be equipped (affects walking speed, sound, during different weather situations). c.) Increased chance of being knocked down while ground is wet. d.) Zombie spawns outside decreased during rain. e.) Significantly reduced zombie vision capabilities during rain. f.) Significantly reduced zombie hearing capacity during storms. -Bugged ladders fixed. -Fixed issues with backpacks causing items to disappear. -Removed survivor "panic" sounds, subtracts from role-playing element and immersion. -Reduced humanity lost per 'murder'. Self-defense shouldn't immediately turn a player into a bandit. Fixed for you
  4. With 1.5.7 and the number of zombies, never have I had a more exhilarating time playing a game. Last night I ran across 2 other players in my travels, it was pitch black and we both decided to go to Cherno for some loot as we were running low on ammo, and food. We agree before hand to stay in prone, and NEVER get out unless the coast 100% clear. So we begin crawling through Cherno, we see one of the small houses up ahead. Both my partners greedy for loot get out of prone and begin to run for the building. Suddenly a Z turns around the corner. I begin to yell "don't shoot lure it away lure it away" then one opens fire. As Z's begin swarming from everywhere at least 10, the other guy opens fire to assist his friend. I watch as at least 30 Z's begin to swarm the home as I slowly crawl away into the darkness. Then it appears, Player Died, and then Again... I know then both my friends fate was sealed. All because they were not careful enough... Please Rocket I beg you, maybe fix the spawns. But PLEASE don't touch the Z count!

    Unplayable how? You would find it more fun if you could solo an entire town of zeds? This game should keep you tense and on your feet' date=' a player should not be able to go into a town guns blazing and clear it of zeds. Violence flared up in a new section of the city. 4. to shine or glow. 5. to spread gradually outward, as the end of a trumpet, the bottom of a wide skirt, or the sides of a ship.

    I agree this would help immensely, best map thus far!
  7. I agree here, I love the new zombie count. Makes the entire thing much more challenging. The feeling of being rewarded when you actually find a rifle, or hell even a can of beans when your running low is MUCH more satisfying. I get much more adrenaline with 1.5.7 than I EVER did with any of the previous versions.

    I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT! Anyone who now complains about too many zombies or re-spawn rate is a baby, and needs to make up there mind. This completely changes game-play mechanics, I've seen lots of people using crossbows now, and it seems the fear has averted from bandits to zombies. I Love this! It makes stealth so much more important.

  11. I'm sure Devs are aware from people posting in other sections but just thought I'd make it official in the bugs section. Date/Time: Since 1.5.6 What happened: Nothing spawns, no loot or zombies after server is up approx 3HRS Where you were: All over the place What you were doing: Looking for loot and zombies *Current installed version: 1.5.6 *Server(s) you were on: Seattle When the server firsts starts in runs absolutely perfect, no bugs at all. Respawns were great, and no issues. Zombie count was around 500-600 for most of the game. 3 Hours later same server No loot was spawning. Sometimes items but if looted them nothing replaced them Zombie count eventually dropped to 30. The complete map was desolate unable to find a zombie in any towns, when they were found if killed they didn't respawn. I've had this issue in several different servers, just reporting on this one incidence of a repeating issue.

    Your server is the only one that I'll play on, plan on donating at the end of the month. Keep up the awesome job. You always restart it as soon as Z count gets low, best server by far! can't stress how happy I am that you host.

  14. Honestly I kind of like the idea, so many people talk about getting rid of the bandit skin but I really enjoy it. Some of your ideas are pretty good here, I love the Sheriff idea. It would really help in distinguishing team players, and give "good players" something to strive for.
  15. With the recent problem with loot and zombie respawn after a server is up for more than around 4 hours. Is there a way to sort servers by when they were started? Or any other way to tell?

    That is awesome! Great work I'd love to see some of your work incorporated into the mod! The only thing I can see them not liking is that from what I've read from earlier posts apparently the zombies in DayZ are not supposed to be dead. But that skin you did is awesome!

    Change loot quality after server population

    I didn't know there was only servers up at 5am with only 8 people. I was on last week from 2-5 PST and the server was near full if not full the whole time.

    Whats the ETA on the next patch? Not wanting to sound like a spoiled brat or anything I've just put off playing till the zombie bug is fixed as it kills my immersion. So starting to get a little antsy.

    THE BIGEST PROBLEM OF THIS GAME

    Everyone right now is getting the same error "Waiting for Server Response" in every server. I agree with Gadd it is most likely due to the explosion of new members. The devs are working on it, go have a nap and log on in a few hours.

    I registered just to make sure I get my .02 cents in on this thread. - Standalone retail (You've single-handedly sold thousands of copies of Arma 2, many people on the forums did not even KNOW what Arma 2 was until the release of this mod, and still have NOT played it in its original state. I know most people would prefer not to have to pay for ArmA3 + DayZ DLC just to play. - Studio developed (Take some input from community, but at the end of the day Rocket you know what is best for DayZ) - One time purchase (Monthly fees not a bad idea) - Studio run servers (With Approved Community run servers) I consider a small monthly fee acceptable if the devs are able to keep on top of new content/maps and other things like you previously stated. The vanity sales system is always garbage, as ridiculous items and such are pushed out in hopes of increasing items sales. I would gladly pay a monthly fee then have you resort to a vanity type payment method. There MUST be studio run servers, I've always tended in any games I play to always lean more towards the official servers when playing a game. It is no different for DayZ. Thanks for reading Rocket.
