Video will be up whenever my buddy gets it up, heres a short synopsis. Spotted a group of about 7-8 people in Chernogorsk working together to secure the city and get sniper spots to possibly loot a lot, could of possibly been more. Me and my group of four people (not including myself) planted C4 charges and two of us took sniper positions as us three went into town and planted the charges. One on the tallest building. one near the hospital, one near the city hall. We got away and my buddy pulled out his M136, after clearing the way, we touched off our Satchels and shot the M136. 6 people died and I assume the other two to however many logged. We went in with our Ural, grabbed their gear (2 L85's, 2 AS50's, a M4A1 Holo, M4a1 CCO SD, Bizon, and a DMR + 3 M9SD's, multiple grenades and tools). Sooo much loot and Cherno was left in a WRECK.

Hope in Humanity! [Why I turned bandit to friendly.]
Royce59 posted a topic in New Player Discussion
Well, i'm going to keep this short. I was recently a bandit who always camped noob spawns like Elektro and shot for murder count because I played alone usually, but today I had a great experience that has changed my perspecting on Day-Z as a whole. I have friends to play with. Always have, always will. We found a vehicle and one of my buddies spotted a helicopter nearby. We sent two men to guard it, both died so we assumed they took the chopper. After my group's watch / assault man (The leader), thermal'd the area, he didn't see anything but the chopper so we decided to assault. (Besides, it was us 6 versus them 2.) We decided to storm the place after getting parts to fix the chopper. We went in, real slow, watched our corners, and got hte chopper fixed. It had literally, almost NO fuel at all. So we flew to a nearby pump and filled up, after about 15-20 minutes of filling constantly, we got it fixed and went for a ride. We raided stary, we looked for crash sites, we raided NE, we flew over Cherno and Elektro and proved our superiority to everyone. Then we learned hte server was restarting in about an hour, so we went searching for a spot to save it and start camp. We head over to a mountainous area where we THOUGHT the land was not steep. We landed and got out, the chopper still.. All of a sudden, it started slipping, the pilot tried to fix it but it slid too fast and the chopper flipped, i was knocked unconscious and was bleeding, he survived without a scratch on him, and my other buddies broke his legs. We all survived, but the chopper was gone. All that loss, and what do we have? A new look at the game, team dynamics that introduces a WHOLE new part of the game. I've had so many team experiences today and I can't stress enough how this has changed me. Next time I see that noob straggler, instead of capping him, i might just help him out and send him in a new direction. I hope this shows everyone that not everyone is a bandit and humanity can still be restored. -
READ THIS FIRST http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/61660-hope-in-humanity-why-i-turned-bandit-to-friendly/#entry588768 Well, today, I experienced one of the saddest moments in my Day-Z career and I can honestly say I have no desire to play anymore yet I keep coming back. The last two and a half monthes I have spent with a few buddies(former) of mine who I spent a lot of time (prolly over 150+ hours) with. I helped them get high-tier gear, helped them start a camp, helped them get a helicopter, and today, while in elektro counter-sniping (killing bandits), my buddies wanted to meet up to get another helicopter. I met my friend Kyle at the power plant and i was bandaging him. Him and his buddies snuck out and killed me, saying "we moved the camp" and blocked me from skype and won't even speak to me now. I spent the last two and a half monthes helping these men out, and loved every moment of it. We have countless good memories and great times together and they threw it all away for some loot and gear (which they will lose eventually). I have so many mixed emotions, but the main one is hopelessness. I really don't know how to move on and from this point on, I roam the coast looking for friendlies to play with. I am gonna apply to freeside to get some real buddies who won't do this kind of shit to me. Damn...

Survivalist tactics or just being a c**t?
Royce59 replied to intensity (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I don't know what you guys are doing wrong... I meet random friendlies ALL THE TIME. I'm up in elektro after recently being shot to death after a tense situation with a group of bandits, i walk into the firestation and there are two heavily armed men holding high-tier military grade weapons. They stare at me for a few moments, and I call out "Friendly!". They gave me a spare PDW and a few mags and sent me on my way. Hella' friendly. I walked into a barn in search of a rifle, where I met "Drew", he swung his hatchet at me and I called out Friendly, he stopped, we chatted about stories of zombies and decided to get on skype. We agreed to work together to head up to NWAF and get some good gear and we did. He is now one of my closest group members and I trust him with my life. I met this guy named "FishIsTwonk" and we were going to trade my M136 Launcher for some NVG's, ghillie, and a rangefinder or something of the sort. Well ,basically, i got killed by a hacker. So he, (Who i had JUST met), offered to give me all of the same gear for a box of matches. We met, I got the gear, he got killed shortly after by a sniper. His friend came to help him but shot down too.. Both of them just lost really high-tier gear to give a newb who had died a shitload of good gear for what? A box of matches? My faith in humanity will remain forever. Day-Z is not a deathmatch, it's a survival game. Some people feel more safer killing everyone so they won't die instead, some others do it for target practice. The reason I rarely encounter player-deaths is because I stay away from the coast, scan areas with my L85A2 AWS and make sure that no matter what happens, i'm always calm and not spraying bullets. This is the reason I have been alive for four days so far (because of the hacker.) -
I have a M136 Launcher with one rocket currently. Hit me up on Skype Skype : TrampoAG1 Steam: Derek2060 Or on these forums.

Suggestion: rebalance game with realistic weapon performance/damage.
Royce59 replied to bazbake's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
You realize Arma II engine already incorporates Bullet Drop and pretty much all of the real world mechanics you've listed in this thread, right? -
Wow, after reading this, I will definately stop! Thanks for enlightening me!

There is a military skin called "Soldier Uniform" or "Soldier Clothing" (I forget), and its a very rare spawn in the Barracks or Heli Crash sites (Only two places i've found them). They are completely legit and not hacked.
-
Or how do I update my Steam Version of Arma II CO so that when I launch it directly from steam it will run the latest beta and not 93825?
-
Jeez, another person with no friends to play with. Solution? Get some... factions are not the answer and will ruin the game.

Stuck in debug once again, with all of my gear. I marked the map with a waypoint and i'm about 21,000m away from land. I could make it there but heres the issue. One water consumable left, two food consumables, 21km, i can abort and log in on a recruit server ot replenish food/thirst but it will set me back to 21km from the map... How the hell do I get out of here, and when I do if I D/C will it send me back to debug? Can someone airlift my ass out of here? Help please.
-
I live! It was a very long and difficult journey, but after much blood loss, i found refuge in a barn and managed to survive, greatest accomplishment.;
-
I can't get into Canada two, I get that "Red X" next to the server hostname when I try to join and apparently i need 1.60.94444 (but i already have 94444 beta, im so lost). Making a run for it, gonna try to get to land and perhaps survive... God knows it'll be difficult but here goes nothing. Two DMR's at stake, camo clothing, alice pack, and 29 murders (1 bandit kill) at stake. Arguably my best life ended by this bug, god bless.
-
Well, so here it is, I have a M108 (2 clips) and i'm looking for a M24 or a DMR (i dont care if it has no ammo). Looking to make a fair trade, no bullshitting or betrayals and feel free to post on here with a steam name or skype name and we can make this happen! Skype : trampoag1 Steam: Derek2060

The ONLY Realistic Way to Prevent Deathmatching: Make DayZ a Living Hell
Royce59 replied to Time Glitch's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
+1 Making Day-Z harder will force teamwork... but not for me, i will still kill everyone on sight haha. -
PvP and other play style - a suggestion to facilitate them all
Royce59 replied to grrinc's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
No... PvP is fine as it is, just don't be a dumbass and trust everyone and you won't be killed, avoid people or only trust people you absolutely KNOW can be trusted. Which means almost nobody, i myself have betrayed many people via teamspeak or skype and lied to them saying "someone shot at me too!". The game is built this way, you either are paranoid of everyone or stick to a small group. -
Problem with "waiting for character to create"
Royce59 replied to Screeps's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
It probably has something to do with the DDoS'ing of Day-Z central server, most people are having this issue, give it time and if it still happens then i would worry about it. As of right now, during the DDoS attack, i would jsut wait it out. Sources : Day-Z Dev Team Twitter, i cannot get in as well :( -
mE AND a LOT of other people in DayZ pick any server, (Tried 20-30 servers thus far) and spawn in a forest with no trees, nighttime (no matter hte GMT or PDT) and absolutely NO GEAR. none, at all, zip, nada, zilch. Is this a Day-Z problem that will be patched? Will I get my stuff back?

turn on flashlight that is on belt
Royce59 replied to reidloS doG's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
You have to unequip your pistol, right click the flashlight on the toolbelt and click "remove from belt", then press "L" to turn it on/off. -
Why is everyone I meet an ***hole?
Royce59 replied to Deacoon's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
These type of reactions are why you have to respect Day-Z, they are the absolute most realistic scenario in an apocalyptic scene. There will not be a lot of survivors. Most of the people who survive are going to kill you to try to survive themselves. Maybe 5% of the people you meet are "actually" friendly. In real life, that is exactly what would happen, and after time you get desensitized and dont speak to them or acknolodge them. Either take them down or be taken down, its that mentality that makes this game so nerve-wrecking.
