If you ever watched rocket's interviews on youtube, he states that he doesn't want his mod to be 100% realistic, just believable. Why couldn't someone repair a generator? Doesn't have to be a large scale power plant. But the main point of this idea is it would take a lot of parts so it could give reason for players to group up to rebuild a community and have lights. It really just gives more stuff for players to do. I've already lived for days, fixed vehicles, grouped, soloed. I like more things to do and keep me busy within a game.

It would benefit the community of the server working together, if they wanted to work together to get lights working on their town or city. Like rebuilding a survival community, maybe building defensive structures will come in also so groups could really build a base of operations together.

I've emailed the staff yesterday about getting approved for the hive status of my server so it can go public for DayZ. But how long does it take them to get back to me? Maybe I'm wrong and didn't have to email them? I thought I read it somewhere. Anyways I would like to discuss a new possible rule admins can take action on. What about the players who keep respawning themselves for a better location? This floods the servers does it not? If we see a player die 3-4 times within minutes of each other. Can we not kick them for abusing? I know the difference when people are dying from zombies and just respawning, because its often and fast.

I emailed the staff to get approved of my new server, I also posted the reserve slot option to them not for friends or clan mates, but for admins who will help run my server correct. If the server slot is 40 but I have 5 admins already picked out for my reserve slots then my server would be and look like 35 slots to the public. So 5 admins could always get in, it wouldn't ever kick anyone because those 5 slots aren't part of the public slots. There are only 5 admins and 5 reserve slots. Also with global chat now turned off I think players trying to get admins mad at them with trolling or just being rude wont be a problem anymore. I still would like to ability to kick players if they are hacking and not get my server removed from the hive if they come here crying. But mainly I want to run a clean stable server that players can always come to their saved stuff like tents, vehicles and also play with a group of people. As a Admin I plan on playing my own server, its the only way to really see how smooth everything is going.

I noticed my Hatchet tool was removed now and the Hatchet replaces your primary weapon. Well I would like to be able to chop trees for wood and keep my Winchester for hunting. So my suggestion is keep the Hatchet as a tool that goes back into the tool slot and add a new melee weapon the "Axe" as a primary weapon for self defense. Or melee weapons go into the secondary weapon slot because most melee weapons are pretty small in theory. Anyways +1 or -1 and state what you agree or disagree with. Let's keep the flaming out of the suggestion threads. Thanks.

Yes, Also it would make the server list more organized to server locations. Many servers are called DayZ -US # Location # or DayZ Zombie RPG - Location # If all the servers would just keep to one server name template that would be great.

This would be pretty funny, Make it as a melee weapon for fighting zombies and players. But gives you an option with the mouse wheel to play track 1-3 or something haha.

Just give it sometime, I'm sure the devs will fix this issue as soon as they get back online to read the issues. It seems the problem has already been found, so hopefully it will be a quick fix.

Well, look at the other player that is missing blood. Use your mouse wheel to find the option for blood transfusion. Sometimes you may have to bandage the player first before it gives you this option.

If anything, the flashlight should be 2 slots then.

Maybe an option that let's you attach the flashlight and pistol together, but shows your model holding the flashlight and pistol beside each other like police do.
