How to increase animals on the server by using CEeditor or other method?

Hello @Fuze95 ๐ Inside you mission folder, open the folder "db" Open the file "events.xml" Look for <event name="AnimalNameOfTheAnimalHere"> Change the nominal value to something higher tweak and min and max value (size of the herd) inside the <children> you have a some "child". Tweak as well the min and max value Now open the "globals.xml" Tweak the "AnimalMaxCount" to a higher value The Env folder is not meant to tweak the number of animals in the server by the way and the "types.xml" won't change anything as well ๐ -
The CLE is like the sales. If you come late, you will miss all the good deals. It's the same issue here. The only solution is to loot the helicopter crash site if you want good guns. This issue should fix itself with time, with each updates we are getting new guns adding more "deals", meaning more time before all the "deals" runs out. However the real issue is something else, and this issue is going to be adressed with the next update if everything goes to plan ๐ All I can do is to show you this video explaining how Dayz MOD was doing and this is exactly the same idea for dayz standalone ๐ Indeed issues are killing the loot and the devs are working on it don't worry ๐

Oh oups ! Yes the ghillie is ingame but with a brown color, you can't have a green ghillie

You can craft improvised suppresors and some stuff for base building but thats it (and for everyone, not only PS4 or Xbox) EDIT : Also ghillies

If you want I can write a complete guide on the forum next week to explain how to set up the CE editor, tweak the values and apply the changes ๐ But no I don't have any links ^^' Seems normal to me, this is how the CLE should work. The goal of the CLE is the same with the game Rust. Not enough items for everyone ๐ If you can't find any ak/m4 it's because they have been looted by someone else and the server doesn't have any of them in stock. It's not a issue, this is how CLE work ๐

Hello ๐ I don't play on console so I may be wrong or talking about a feature that isn't available for console without knowing..... Are you talking about the ingame server browser ? If it's the case have you tryed to reset the filters ?

You can use the CE editor from the dayz tools to see by yourself if you want but you need to look on google to get the configured files however ๐

I can't really awnser that question but I can give you the tip to go inside bushes and behind trees instead of laying down. It's currently the best option to stalk or hunt someone ๐

Hello, Dayz is not using texture like ArmA does. For cars you have a "base texture" and inside a config file you are going to change the color. In short, instead of making 10 skins variant with only a color change you can do the same but with 10 config files for your 10 cars. Go take a look in the config files for the sedan you'll see ๐

Hello ! I have been playing with the CLE (CE) for quite a while now and this is what I'm understanding from this system : Type => Classname of the item nominal => maximum quantity of this item in the map. If the max is topped this item is no longer going to spawn lifetime => lenght of time before the item despawn restock => cooldown before a item can "respawn" min => the minimum quantity of this specific item that NEED to be in the map quantmin and quantmax => used for the quantity of a fluid. For example how much a bottle can be filled by water cost => I don't know, everything have a value of 100 and I saw no changes by tweaking this value flags => where and when this item should be counted as "spawned". If you want all the Ak(s) to spawn forever without any permanent maximum you should set everything to 0 expect "count_in_map" to 1. the rest of the tags are used to specified what is the item and where it should spawn. You can also specified if the item need to spawn onto shelves for example. Prison is classified as tier 2 Chernogorsk have on the back of the police station a tier 2 and tier 3 area as well ๐ Zelenogorsk is tier 3 Currently the CLE is configured to prevent abusive looting. Any guns (like the M4) are detected inside the map, cargos and hoard. In short you can have only 10 M4 in the server IF none of them are inside the survivors hands or equipement but I need to check about that tho...

Hello ๐ This is how I do to play with my own survivor : While in the main menu you can "create" your character with your own name, face and clothing. Once this character is created navigate with the server browser and join the server of your choice. IF you don't have any alive character on this server you will be able to play with your new and fresh character. If you die while playing, go back to the main menu, create your survivor and comeback on the server to play with your own character. Yes I know... Why we have to do this.... Well because I guess ^^'

When do you crash ? (loading the game/joinning a server/in the main menu/...) What do you do just before the game crash ? What is the error code of your crash log ? -
So we need to add a perimeter tool for the players that can't be abused. Bases can be inside a building with only 2 or 3 walls just to block the entrances. Bases can be a building with only 2 entrance with walls to fill the gaps like the big industrial building with the blue doors. So we can't use the fence kit and tower kit for that In the future we will be able to barricade windows and doors so we need to take in count this feature as well We can't base our "perimeter" with the nav path to create a dynamic perimeter based on the area for quite a lot of reasons We have create a new tool but need to be used in random areas in the map without a set minimum... We need to prevent any abuse or perimeter spam. How can we detect server hoppers and a migrating player ? About allowing players to switch servers and spawwning in the general area of his last position... I'll be honest with you, if the devs want to stop server hopping and base hopping they don't have millions solutions. The actual one being the best for long term survival, you save ressources for your dedicated servers and at the same time you force players to play like in any other games but they can still migrate if they want to. Why should we switch server in the first place ? If we want to build a base, we are going to settle in one server. Same thing for a car by the way.... If we want something player friendly all we have to do is to alert the player before he join the server for the first time and when he is going to switch server.

I'm playing on a private server since 1.01, I have do play even if it's night time or with bad weather like in dayz mod or rust... Or project zomboid... Or all my games.... So yes I'm okay of being forced to play on a server because this is what we had to do in the past in dayz mod and what we do in any other videogames. Why shouldn't be force to ? you are forced to play with the night in rust, nobody is crying because this is part of the meta.... Even if you can't see your own shoes... This is what the devs are trying to do, they want us to play with the rain and the night. Remeber, this is a survival update. Medication is back and we are now punished if you want to switch server to not be in disaventage from the night or the rain.... However ! The new spawnpoint system have some issues indeed. However I didn't saw anyone posting to say he got killed at the coast by a geared guy. Maybe just a question of time tho... Oh well only time will tell what truly need to be tweaked x) We have to stick to this solution until someone found a good suggestion. I am sorry to tell you that your solution have flaws. Beds could be exploited for server hopping and how do you manage to remove the ability to spawn inside a base without creating issues ? Perimeter around a player made structure ? What should be the range to be not that much OP but still good ? Do we need to remove the ability to spawn only on the inside of the wall or also the outside ? Can we abuse the system by building on each spawnpoints of a city ? How can we spawn a player to a city with his friends ? Should we spawn each survivor in a town for each of them ? How can we make a system which don't give the information that someone was in this city because nobody spawned there ? How can a player not abuse the new spawnning mechanic ? I lot of players gave their ideas on reddit, youtube and here. But none of them are good because they have bigger issues. Just for your own idea I gave you some general questions. You need to be able to awnser thoses questions in detail and ask yourself new questions until you can't ask yourself new questions. If we want a new system, we have to do it right. And last question, why do we need to change it. What is creating this need ? As I said before, to escape the rain and the night or for something else ?

spawn points for fresh spawns and "server hoppers" are not the same and are adapted to prevent this. In short, choose a server and stay on this server even if it's night time or rainning. If you don't change server everything will be fine

They do aggro but with a smaller range. This is intended as well ๐

And if "playing the game properly" changed in this version ? What if the devs wants you to choose a server, settle on this server and stay ? Rust was looking for a long time to do something similar by allowing players to switch server. The goal was to let the player settle in, loot and survive.... If he was looking to raid he would have 2 choices, raid on his own island or to raid another island. He wouldn't be able to predict where he would spawn in the new server or on his server at his return. Now in Dayz ? We choose a server, loot and make a base in the same server. We switch server if we want to raid/pvp on another server but we need to regroup (in rust we would have to create a boat to prepare ourself instead of reprouping). So what is wrong ? We have to change our mind of how we use servers and we need to protect the players from any mistakes. If we don't want players who played the game properly we need to protect them from themself. This solution as you said erradicate dupers, hoppers, ghosters who try to exploit the game. As we try to exploit the game by switching server because the night/rain is coming... And if you switched server.... First of... Why did you tryed ? Just think about it ! If I ask to anyone in my discord I'll get a awnser related to exploit the game in a way or another (the night for example.... Why were they all empty ๐). What do we lose ? The ability to loot Tisy on 10 servers ? What do we win ? No ghosting, no destroyers, no server hoppers.... Base are a bit safer and we are now forced to play in night time. Second of.... By mistake ? This is the part I'll tweak, what we want is to prevent any mistakes by the player. He need to be aware of what he is going to do before even doing it. He need to know what is going to happen if he join for the first time of his life a server. When you play Rust, you plan to play with your friends to play on the same server right ? This is what they want you to do. And until someone give us the ultimate solution, I prefer to talk about how we can improve in instead of making another one. All the ideas I saw to "fix" the current system have bigger flaws, for not the best thing to do is to improve this update instead of redoing it ^^

I know you have implemented this warning box while joinning a server and it probably helped in a lot of situations. But lot of players are used to this background with the queue or the cooldown... We all saw someone pressed the join button and leave the mic to get a snack ๐ To make it quick, I just think we need a warning box before joinning a new server. Something like a pop-up should do the job to prevent any mistake and to make the navigation better while in the main menu.

Thanks a lot for the explenation ๐ The system in place fix the problem for good indeed. I just think it's sad that a player who just want to switch server because the server crashed or suddenly dropped to night time without any warning after a reboot have to be penalize that much. But it's only the smallest piece of the cake... And the night/rain is not as a much a problem like we had in 1.0... If you want to keep this system or something near the one we have currently, could you try to make the new players aware a bit better ? Something telling them "hey if you join this server, be carefull to not join another after" (first time he join a server for example) or a "are you sure ?" to alert the player just before he try to join a new server. We can join the server with the "play" button but it's harder to see our current server with the server browser. Even if you want them to use the first option, it would be cool to see a new icon or a different background color... Something to tell the player "hey this is the server you played last time with this character named xxxx". I'm just throwing ideas to reduce the bad surprise for the new players and the clumsy players ๐
