From my set up Super Mario 64 looks better than this game. Often times I will be at a building door before it even gives me the option of opening it, and the whole building down looks like its 2d . Likewise, trees are garbage (near and afar) and good luck looking out into the distance to find your orientation, there is nothing there but some grey pixelated presence. I know when a player or base is around: it lags so bad I myself do not know what direction I am actually facing. I don't know. Anyone else have insight? It very well could be my setup, but, given the ultra low bandwidth this game should conjure due to its ultra low PVP combat, I am very concerned. EDIT: Also the agonizing lag for transferring things to and from/within your inventory. Really a joke.

I have heard that duping caches cause really bad lag. I have noticed really, really bad lag around some areas. Does this have any basis? Also, as I have put in another 6 hours since yesterday, there is no type of military gear other than jackets, maybe a helmet, and a handrail for the M4-A1 (which currently does not exist at the moment from what I have seen), even at even the most remote bases. It looks like every place I have been, even the remote of the remote had been looted already. But, either way, its just jackets, a PSO scope, a handrail for a non-existent gun, etc. Is this because the Devs have changed the game by making gun loot extremely rare, or, is it because of the bad actors that you described? I don't know that may clarify my purpose in the game going forward if you have any insight. EDIT: and by purpose I mean do I just focus on resource and building around the fringes of the map, rather than trekking 1.5 hours IRL to a base that lags beyond comprehension and is just going to be devoid of anything of real value?

Did the same thing about a week ago after letting the game develop over the last couple of months. I am very pleased with the progress it has made. Made my way to NWAF probably within the first hour an popped into the south barracks and I did find an AK, pistol suppressor, gladly took them, and didn't think anything of it. Over last 12 hours of play I noticed that I have not seen a single AK or M4 since then or any suppressors of any type, just pistols, and maybe an SMG here or there (I have seen shotguns in smaller towns). I'm glad I picked those up before the wasteland became more barren. I kind of like it though. It should be hard to even get any kind of gun, and make it more about survival, crafting, and building.

Okay thanks to both Skofield and pilgrim. I apologize for any inconvenience. I guess the persistence was what I was most concerned with after it has become quite apparent there is base building. Should have titled is as such.

Thanks. A simple yes or no would have sufficed.

It looks like they may have added a number of items that are related to building bases in the Xbox version? Is it now possible to build bases that are persistent or do they just get wiped when the server resets/log out?

Haven't played in about 4 months, anything new?
The Baron 11 posted a topic in New Player Discussion
Stopped playing for about 4 months (or whenever it was released on console) when they were wiping characters/servers every week or so. If I remember, the release was in August or something? Played a lot for about 4 weeks until I gave it a rest. Thought I'd just let things get more stable. I enjoyed it and think it has great potential, I just figured there was no point to invest time into a spawn and gearing up if it was just going to get wiped. Also, there wasn't much survival elements in the game other than thirst and hunger (only storage were bags no tents, limited crafting, no temp, most PC equipment hadn't been added in yet, etc.). Mags were still glitching massively, no suppressors for M4, carry weight and space in inventory was severely messed. Have any new major elements been added (even if not survival related too)? Are they still clearing characters/servers on a frequent basis? Any large updates regarding new types of equipment, weapons, etc.? -
I wondered this myself. At $40 a piece for the Xbox preview, they must have brought in some decent cash, and fast, for the game preview. It's only been a month though on Xbox, so if they actually are working on comprehensive and smooth changes, a little bit of time doesn't bother me. If they are not, then, well, time will tell.

Unable to reload magazine into a weapon (REPRODUCTION STEPS REQUIRED)
The Baron 11 replied to ImpulZ's question in Troubleshooting
That has been my experience as well. Recently, I have just been reloading using Y while a gun is in hands to a fresh mag, and then just go into inventory, put gun on my shoulder, take the recently unloaded and empty mag to hands, and load bullets. Seems to prevent the glitch so far, albeit not very quick and convenient. -
Never found a crash site until...

Same for me. I have been playing the GM area and its environs for the last two weeks and haven't seen a single spawn from Zeleno up to NW airfield while actively exploring for them. -
They are in Xbox, just in random places in cities. I found one laying on top of a car on the street. I still don't know what they do. Do they just allow you to be heard on in game audio from a further distance? I don't even know what that would sound like.

That is interesting, will do. I don't think I have been checking mag condition regularly, but I haven't noticed any of them being damaged or badly damaged. As for bullets, I don't think I have ever thought to check their condition. So do you think that low condition mags and ammo simply can't be loaded and I would need to find higher quality ones? Or, do bad quality mags and ammo somehow glitch the gun into not accepting any mags in the future?

I'm fresh meat in these forums but I would like to say I am wholly satisfied with the game so far. If you haven't learned to read Russian yet, and navigate the hiking trails from one end to the other, then I think there will always be something to do in this game. Yes, I would like to see the content added (tents - and hopefully sooner than later), and trying to memorize Russian names and trails is very tedious, but, we just have to roll with it until then. There are millions of ways to make the game challenging and interesting.

I have not seen an announcement for an update today. Unless they plan on crushing an all-nighter, I wouldn't expect one today. But, maybe I will be pleasantly surprised...

I know this is very well known and discussed. But, still randomly getting issues with not being able to load mags for certain guns. For instance, I was using a USG45 for quite a while, with no issues, many shots fired and many mag reloads. Then, for whatever reason one time I tried loading a mag into it after putting bullets in and the USG45 simply just did not accept any magazines from that point on. This also always happens with the SVD. I have heard that once this happens, the gun is "dead." But I am wondering if there is a way to be able to get magazines back in them somehow, especially for the SVD which you can't just go and loot at a base.
