Hey Guys My host did the new Battleye script update.. Now loads of players are being kicked with script restriction #141.. Strange thing is, it is only after they are killed or try to respawn! Anyone got any ideas? thanks

I presume my host would have followed the set up instructions as he is experienced with ARMA II servers!! What would be the difference with not re-doing your file and just adding new? -

Guys Someone on my ts3 server mentioned another battleye folder under users my documents then Bohemia.. Have a look in there guys and replace the dll files with the ones from the battleye site.. -
Can I just throw this in here!! The Server going down picture in the OP looks more like a server crash than a server reboot!! If I at anytime take down my server, the we all get a session lost message!! If the server crashes, then we all get the timeout messages! To me it was a server crash!

You sir, are a complete and utter twat... All you do is troll here.. Why would anyone accept that sort of language against them? If it was me he would have been banned for abusive language aimed at another player.. People can swear all they want, but when it is aimed maliciously at another person it is comp,etely different.. -

Jump on DE4 mate.. 5 admins, one on most of the regular gaming time.. Probably around a 30ms ping for you... Usually give the updates a day to see if there is any major problems before updating.. Always full, we were number 2 in game trackers server list before we had some hardware problems.. Climbing back up, slowly and surely to the top ten, hopefully top five again... -

The point is, a lot of admins like myself spend a good few hours every week going over the logs searching for hackers, exploiters etc.. We have more time than the devs to scour gigs of text based logs to try and get these people who are wasting the game for you guys... If I mistakenly ban people then there would be some sort of reason for me to do it, I dont indiscriminately Ban people...I am sure they would be mature enough to get in touch somehow and state their case, or ask me to go over the logs again, which I would. I have been banned from servers from other games, usually because I have pissed off the admin, does it bother me, not a jot.. Move on to another server... The points made by the admins on this thread are all viable as far as I can see.. And it would take the stress off of the devs.. The other option would be to submit ban reports with the evidence after the fact and see if they are allowed to stand.. -

No mate, you started the abuse not me... And to compare real life terrorist activities against a game is just fucking stupid... It's a game, those 30, 50 or whatever other number can use over 3000 over servers! Maybe even use the server you run and admin,or maybe that one would be hacked and exploited to fuck, and no one would want to join it? Maybe you might get a decent reply next time if you weren't so condescending and abusive... -

Who the fuck do you think you are, I put my post out there, that I would rather have over 600,000 players being able to acces my server, fully knowing it was locked down as much as it could be.. And no, the guids stay with me now... Someone needs to grow the fuck up and it ain't me.... Christ this communty fucking sux at times... Stay out the conversation if you have nothing to add to it.. -

Eh sorry, one of the guys admitted to duping weapons etc, did you read the whole post. Unluckily two innocent parties were caught up in that ban spree, which was sorted out.. I'll say this, I would rather have 5, 10 even 30 innocent parties banned on my server if it stopped the duping, hacking and server hopping, than leaving it wide open to any abuse from any one and sod all I can do about it.. Any innocent parties knows where to go, either here, my own forums, ts3 or my admin email which ar all advertised via the motd or server name... -

Add me to the list of at least 7 or 8 dc'ers who I will be sending the details to the support site about.. Where do I attach all the logs that go with the time frame from the restart until the next restart, should roughly be 200meg of files per 4 hours of gaming. Taking in mind that these reports are only from the guys who are on my ts3, but now that we have a system the will deal with it in an appropriate time I shall put it out onto the forums that I usually post in for all instances with evidence to be sent to me, probably looking at least 15 to 20 reports per day.. Cannot wait to get rid of these exploiters, glad someone is doing something about it at long last.. -
The patch works absolutely fine, the joining time on the server has dropped and fps has increased for most of the guys on my team speak server. Patch up, and play on the servers that have it, it is not backwards compatible...

Poor show to be perfectly honest.. As an admin if someone shows me proof of exploiting then I should be able to ban using that evidence.. Now we have to submit evidence, wait until one of you guys review it, which considering how busy you all are could be a while.. So while we wait on your response the server hoppers are free to hop from server to server causing us no end of problems and making our players leave the server, due to being fed up with the hoppers.. Might seem like a negative post, it isn't meant to be, just getting a bit fed up being treated like a prepubescent admin, anyone on my server knows how I admin it, so too lump all server admins into the same untrusting bag is a bit galling to to be honest.. -
Ok I'll tell you what admins can see.. We can tell what you spawn in with and see what you pick up and what weapons you have, but only in my case after the logs have been generated after a restart.. Actually this has helped me ban a few hackers who had thermal weapons which weren't in the game, namely an AS50 thermal... I also helps us to see who dc'd and logged back in.. As for tents, vehicles etc.. We used to be able to see how many of each had spawned in.. But the way they get synced with the hive has changed and we cannot see that now.. To be honest with you mate, the logs are great for looking for issues with problems and catching the odd hacker out, at no point do they give info out about live in game actions, apart from inven stuff....

Anyone know where I could get a copy of the list pertaining to the hack id's. IE Gamehack #37 etc! Just curious to find out why people have been banned on my server, and see if there was anything else in the scripts I can pick out from that! Cheers

Anders I joined a few other servers after I couldn't Join mine as I had reverted the patch back and batteleye auto updated to 1.163 so hopefully that's the release out there. I'm guessing as early patch adopters we run the risk of problems etc... -

Sorry typ0 with the payer count, did mean to write 40! Sorry! Doesn't mean that the process is any worse than I stated! Now the server is down to around 7 players, remember gametracker takes a an hour or so to catch up! -

Absolute nightmare! Battleye wasn't ready for this patch as was known! Battleye didn't auto update as was known! Server went from 60 payers full to around 10. Cannot understand why Battleye guys and BIH cannot organise it together for an auto update! Even after manually updating still cannot join, getting a battleye failed! With over 600,000 unique players it does have to be better organised now guys! I understand it is an alpha etc! But I think it is getting to the point that a bit more organisation is needed! Other than that, awesome job on the mod, appreciate the effore that goes into it!- 251 replies

A decent admin would ask via rcon, as he can see direct chat replies. Also, since 1.7 I have never had a restart that hasn't spawned tents and vehicles..

Currently running veteran settings with 3rd party view on!! I can see who is killed, but is there a way to also have who killed who and who disconnected? Fed up with people disconnecting under fire!! Thaks

You do realise that helicopter would disappear after a restart and there might not be one spawn for miles around that location! Also, don't be so quick to jump to conclusions about what admins are doing on the server! Fair enough, he should have restarted after the 3minutes was up! Maybe he got his timing wrong, or maybe he watched you go for the heli and decided to be a dick!! -
Bloody hell, there is no need for 8gig of ram too run one instance of Dayz server! That is extreme overkill, I doubt you will ever reach 1/3 of that!
