    I remember when i found an ak-47, the car was great, I just didnt like the fact she had kids. Maybe the next gen games will be able to walk around, probly not. What about Day z? that mod is great, i really enjoyed its burger. Maybe now i can get to play my work. Ugh, why are you guys so stupd, i meanz, itz not day hard to not go to schol.     Tips for sneaking past zeds?

    Try to stay away from concrete walls, If there is a Zed on the other side, they will hear you weather you are crouch walking or prone. Stay at least 10 feet away unless you know nothing is there(Listen real good) Also, if you are in a small house, and there is a zed on the other side of the wall, stay still, even if you are prone and move around, they will most likely hear you, wait for them to pass.

    Do you really think zombies are gonna run this fast if a zombie apocalypse happens? And since this is a apocalypse "simulator" i ask you, Go outside, and try to "Crouch walk". You can be VERY silent with very little effort.

    The main problem i have with zombies is how fast they are, i mean, these are Dawn of the deadx50 fast, zombies are supposed to be slow!!! My only other problem is how easy a zombie can sense you on the other side of a wall. I came into a house and got a new backpack, while i was doing that, some zombies were walking past, so i had to lay down, in hopes of not getting detected. But, they saw me >.< Happened another time, was sneaking along a concrete wall, and there happened to be a zombie on the other side.

    My computers not great, but im able to run Arma 2, and OA without any issues, but in DayZ, my fps drops to about 25-30, and every 15-30 seconds it freezes up for at least .5 to 1 sec at a time, it is making this game near unplayable >.< Intel core 2 duo 3.0ghz Radeon Hd 5750 Vista 32 bit 4 gigs of ram

  11. from I really liked DayZ until the new zombie AI came out. I thought the stealth was a perfect balance for detection range' date=' etc. during 1.7.0. I'm good at this game as well, and with the new whacky zombies I can still get into town and get out with loot, so failing isn't the problem. The problem is the balance of movement while around zombies. It is dominated by prone crawling more than anything. Crouch walk is even a massive risk, and forget about crouch jogging as before. It's just not all that fun to be honest. Yes, there is more fear of the zombies now and more care must be taken - but that doesn't improve the game by making them difficult in this manner. I think the 1.7.0 stealth was fine, but find a different way to make the zombies feared instead of this new AI - which frankly, Arma AI is terrible and trying to make the zombies smart isn't working well. If you want zombies to be a real obstacle to be feared, make it so they do more damage when you make a mistake during stealth. Make it so one zombie howls, and calls the others nearby or something. As is, you have to just belly your way through which is just boring. Even still, you go to crouch to loot something and a zombie 20 yards away will aggro, or you will crawl through a door and your character stands up - again causing aggro. It's just a less engaging experience. Just wanted to get my opinion out there. I mean, the more they change what we think is really good, the more stops playing Dayz. Now we have reached a point where major changes are made constantly. I myself am gonna stick around, idk if im going to play tho until something changes, i can't even get into towns during the day without every zombie in the city after me, i died and spawned back in with a zombie running at me from the road lol, i had to book it to the dock next to the town i spawned near, and had at least 23 zombies sitting on the edge. (i guess they can't go onto docks/piers?)
  12. I just started playing yesterday, before this patch and am glad i did. In the few hours i played before i went to bed, i fell in love with the game, i enjoyed the lvl of sneeking i had to do to avoid some zombies, it wasn't so hard that you had to crawl thru towns, and avoid any houses with stairs. If i came in today, i would have left the game by now lol. Im hoping they are going to revert the stealth back to how it was pre-today. There are to many little quirks in the arma engine to have them that able to detect people. You can bump into something and start running for a split second, and you can't crawl up stairs for starters(at least i couldn't) If this happens, i don't think you should have the whole town on ur a** lol.

    1.7.1.4 neutered my two-week-old character.

    I just started the game yesterday, i had a shotgun, and a 1911, when i loged in today, i was stuck with a Makarov, and a bunch of tools i didn't have before(GPS/Map/Knife/Binocs and something else) Tho, that didn't last long since zombies are now super zombies lol. It wasn't from hacked gear. Twitter post said it was due to some melee item bug, hatched i suppose? idk of any others since i just started, unless you can use a knife as a weapon
  14. I spawnd in, all my weapons i had were gone, and i had a makarov, with 3 clips, Map, GPS, knife, and binocs.... Also, FPS has gotten alot worse, cant seem to move 10 feet without the game freezing for a split second.
  15. At first i tried Six launcher, since this is a retail, i don't have it on steam. It loads the actual game up(not the server) and just does nothing once the game is running. It doesn't actually go to the server. So then i tried just going to multi player, and then picking a server, thats when i got that error. I saw something in another post tho about how the Red x's by all the server names means u aren't updated to the right patch, so i went back and saw that it is at 1.5, maybe that was my issue, i could have sworn i updated to 1.6, maybe that was for the original Arma 2 tho
