  1. I like the spawning on the coast, although it makes you a better target than a completely random spawn, it makes it easier to keep your barring (coast at your back or side, and all that jazz). Anyhow, the respawning is annoying, but there could be a better way. You continue to spawn at that same location unless someone else is already present. Forces people to move, or sit around in the disconnect screen waiting for someone to spawn in and take their place. Also, it helps against people waiting for fresh spawns to pad their Murder Count (had a camper do this to me three times in a row, then berate me for not disconnecting to survive)

Protect us from players spawning on us

There isn't much you can do, and I doubt the engine allows for moving a player's spawn. It seems simple, but moving a player from position A to B is very complex, especially if they were on a tower, prone or otherwise. Just look at the debug spawning problems going on even now. Forced spawn points could be camped (like the coast) and alerting people to a incoming spawn is asking to be griefed on arrival, and trying to adjust the engine code could be a nightmare (as I haven't seen or touched it). But if it is possible, moving an inbound player away from others could be good, although it would go from them spawning behind to, to them spawning in the tree line and watching your front door (or window) awaiting his cause for removal to leave his abode. EDIT: They could just add in a delay in saving the player's location, making them spawn in at an older location. This makes the player take longer to move back to their location, or they'd have to sit in one spot for a time before disconnecting so it will save. Ghosting via server hopping would take far longer, and people trying to server hop for loot would either have to wait longer to hop, or sometimes end up in a place they don't want to be (outside, where they had been 5 minutes before they raced into that barracks to begin their server hopping). Just an idea. I'm not in agreement until I see a much better idea. Sorry.

    Disconnecting to avoid death

/signed 10 seconds is good, 20 seconds or more might be too much. I want timer!!

    Suggestion : Sniper NPCs

Please no. I'm already dodging poorly placed shots from players, and zeds from aggroing them with my own, the last thing I need is insanely accurate NPCs firing at me through the trees.

Animals, Ghosts and a different flare

Aggressive animals? Please no. The last thing I want is to be engaging a bandit at 200 meters with my Enfield, dodging zombies, just to find I've run into a bear the size of an SUV. Ghosts? No. Different flare? Flare gun? I think M203's attached to many different rifles have flares they can fire (I could be wrong) so some kind of similar mechanic with a flare and "Flare Rounds" (single per stack) might work. Extra bright, but burn out in ~30 seconds. Could work to light up a town for a few seconds, but would easily give away your position to other, not-so-friendly players.

    Zombie movement

Don't be a child. In any case, slower zombies might help to stim the freaky pathing that comes with the extreme speed, but the zombies' speed would still need to be higher than a running player or else they'd never catch you (not that they can now, running atleast 200% player sprint speed)

    Body Armor

I'm in agreement, although I see it with a different change in the idea. New slots, one for skins and another for body armor. I don't know if the engine allows for this. Skin can go with the empty helmet slot is, and the other can go somewhere else. Body armor would need to slow down the user, and although it should protect from damage it should be limited. Like say chest only protection, increases chance to be knocked down per hit taken, but lower damage percentage (35% less blood lost, which is transfered to the body armor, which breaks at a maximum number) and an increased bleed chance (if it isn't 100% from bullet wounds already). And important notes- *Does not stop zombie attacks. *Can not be equipped with ghillie suits. (Armor or stealth, not both)

    Why Zombies shoudl be fixed

Instead of making a new thread, I'll just add my opinion here. Zombies should only be slightly faster than normal players, as it is they FLY at people with extreme speeds (so fast they can literally go down hill with you and fall to death from their speeds while you remain unharmed running quickly downhill). I've seen similar speeds on NPCs in other games and they also have the NPCs lagging through walls, teleporting, weaving around and even sliding into place after they have attacked. ROCKET, half the problems with zombies is their intense speed. If they were say, 110% the speed of a player with nothing on at full strength (just started running) and then increase their health to that of a normal player, or just under, they would quickly be the evil killing machines you want. But you NEED to fix the Noise-Sight mechanics, as it is I doubt crawling on gravel would generate the same noise as walking on dirt (c'mon). Crawling should be louder, crouch walking should be easier to see. I'm sure you are already fixing that, though. I'd suggest either adding a running-attack animation and allow zombies to attack while on the run (not sure if the engine allows this) or cause a zombie's attack to slow a player (say each hit reduces player speed by 25%, this should allow zombies to continue beating on the player as they attempt to run away)... Sadly, this makes a new problem- Fresh Spawns. To balance this, they'd need something to defend themselves with, such as a melee weapon (which are so buggy in the way they work, I'd advise against giving these to new players) or a weak firearm with limited ammo (Makarov with a single magazine?), keeping everything else on spawn the same should be fine. I like feeling like zombies are just that, and not a penalty for defending yourself too close to town (returning fire at a sniper causes zombies to aggro on you, if you try firing from inside a town or building) or a semi-mobile landmine community with an allergy towards Lee Enfields.

    Fn Fal magazines

I agree, or atleast let us refill ammo with DMR mags (right click "Rearm FN Fal Magazine" and lose your DMR mag to refill an FN Fal mag, I don't care about recombining like M1911/Revolver)

    HACKERS

A hacker would have insta-killed your whole group without using a weapon. Better chances are that multiple shooters picked targets, counted down and fired off 5 rounds within a second or two (2 shooters- 2 seconds. 3 shooters- closer to 1 second). Sucks for you. Aleast you died to someone shooting you and not sending you 2000 feet into the air, or spawning bombs at your feet.

    Entire Server Killed

Was in Stary with friends, heard friendly say he died, when he said how he died I freaked, and called (with friend) for log off ASAP of the group. One of my friends was Neokolzia^^^^ I aborted before I registered anything, and I didn't go flying, but I was told my name appeared on the 'was killed' side chat. I'm hoping for life, but I don't expect it.

    Need more hackers

I can't figure out why people even do this. Buy a game, download a mod, download and potentially F-Up your computer (because these kids aren't real hackers, they download this stuff from the internet, which can contain a trojan), just to go to a server and kill a bunch of players that you will never see die, that you will never hear whine about it. Nothing. No value from causing this kind of loss to a player. You get nothing from it. Not even the pleasure of listening to them scream in thier mics, or watching their character bleed to death. You don't even see the look on their face. Boring.

    Died for no RAISINS!

Sniper, silenced weapons or extreme range shooter. I heard headshots don't register with noise for those getting the rounds to the head.
  14. Agreed. Either make it as easy to remove as it is to place, or just as hard. Require something like a toolbox or entrenching tool to set it down. I can't stand running through Electro and having to server hop just to get inside.
  15. No healing over time, but it could be pretty simple: Crawl to tree, right click hatchet, "Gather Wood". Go to wood in inventory, right click for extra option "Create Splint" which also requires two inventory spaces (like wood). Right click Splint, choose "Splint Broken Bone". You still have the broken bone status effect, but you are now allowed to WALK WHILE CROUCHED. No running, no standing, and you still need morphine to set your leg.

    survivor skinned zeds

HUNTER KILLER ZOMBIE!!! Uses Survivor ingame run animation, and similar Civilian Skin, with some blood on the vest. Spawns, picks a survivor at random and runs full (normal player) speed at the survivor until it makes contact. Damage is 50% more than normal zombies, with an increased chance to bleed. Hunter Killer also has extra health compared to other zombies. Chance for generic loot (tin cans, empty bottles) is high, but carries more loot than the average zombie. On Regular servers, scrolling over the zombie reveals a fake player name. I love it!
  17. Any and every game I have played that allows players to make their own art ingame turns into one bad thing or another. From Vans that read "FREE CANDY" on the side, to clan tag pictures with nothing but unicorns humping frogs (or similar) people find the stupidest things and put them ingame. Sure, a minority actually makes art and a lot of it looks cool, but the vast majority draws stupid, rude and completely unneccesary things. The game would be filled with dumb images, and any form of communication ('Go to location A for friendlies!') would be sprayed over with a large penis. I doubt the engine could even support this anyhow.

    Flashlights

People are actually trained to use flashlights WITH pistols in most law enforcement fields (which includes Corrections in some states). So unless the game's engine prevents this, I would like to see it ingame. Infact, holding a flashlight and pistol doesn't really mess with your initial accuracy all that much, but the recoil and inability to fire larger caliber handguns comes into play. Could be a give and take. Use a flashlight with pistol, increased recoil and you can't use certain sidearms with it (PDW, maybe revolver and M1911, although I think it isn't outside reality to allow the latter two to still function with a flashlight). For the OP, I heard the G17 handgun has a working flashlight equipped, incase your suggestion is past over.

    Don't drop gear when swimming

If you intend to swim, the game drops your gear so you don't drown. If you don't want to swim, don't go into the water. If you find yourself in the water and have gear, the game sometimes drops it. Do the math, keep your gear and drown? Or don't go into the water. Why remove something ingame as the auto-geardrop, when it is already there for the reasons it needs to be? It's like going back a step, not forward.

    Flame Throwers

Only if I can get a chainsaw that runs off jerry cans first. Pros- Great melee damage and range. Cons- Limited usage due to fuel consumption Takes a lot of space in inventory when not equipped Loud, draws more zombies. After that, flamethrower me.
  21. Breaking* Break* Not Brake. Anyhow, your warning for when a zombie spots you is their telling growls and screams. Then they run at you. This happens very quickly, but that is your warning to FLEE or FIGHT. Next, small melee weapons might go into the sidearms slot, we haven't gotten that far with them yet (limited to two ingame as of my understanding). They are also buggy. Also, why reduce range on the map with something like Fog? Sure, I could see fog randomly rolling in like rain, but why force it everywhere all the time? And last, I too dislike zombies breaking my legs on every third hit (or tenth, as it really seems to be), and would like it toned down (or add in broken arms as well, so it's a 50/50 thing). I'll happily trade unconsciousness for more bleed damage and zombie melee damage. Anyhow, my mind was not blown, and I do not like any of the OP's suggestions. My opinion.

    Don't drop gear when swimming

I'm fine with the way it is, forcing people to go into thier inventory to drop things manually so they don't drown is something I think we should avoid.

    AI Bandits

A way to bring back the bandit skin, as the skin for an AI bandit. But the problem comes from AI in most games being super observant, or using godlike accuracy. Think of the Lee Enfield. Think of someone firing at you... From over 1km away. With pin point accuracy. AI have a habit of doing things like that in all games, including the Laserbeam accuracy of COD games (hardest difficulty) to the random enemies being pin-point 1-hit headshooters of doom in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas (the AI could insta-kill anyone at any range with pistols, making them EXTREMELY dangerous if they dropped their assault rifle or shotgun). Could they add AI bandits? Sure, easily. But would it work? Maybe? But do you really want something as crazy as a random AI Bandit spawn with a rocket launcher or AS50? At night, with infinite ammo?

    SKS for DayZ?

SKS fits the area more than the Lee Enfield. I support this based on that, and you can't have enough guns. (Don't get me wrong, I love my Lee Enfield)

    Player activated environment sounds

It would be possible. If those sounds are individual and can be relocated, all they'd have to do is say: Player is walking on dirt with grass, que 'twig snap effect' to a distance of 35 meters (or so). Sure that isn't how you'd ACTUALLY code it, but that's to help see how it would work. Like the gravel, asphalt, and dirt sounds are restricted to their own surface, twigs would snap when you are under or near trees/bushes, and on dirt. Other sounds could also be 'equipped' to their own spots. But they'd have to be limited in how often they go off. If I heard, 'snap' I'd freak out a little but might explain it away as ambience or zombies. But 'snap snap snap' would be a dead giveaway.
