    Tommy Gun

I'd rather have a UMP .45 or another other more modern and countless amounts of submachine guns readily availble, and not an old fashioned relic that was pushed aside by just about everything else. Seriously, even today I don't think I know one person with a 'Tommy Gun' as you would put it. Anyhow, I'm sure Russian or Czech weapons would fit the area better than PreWW2-PreKoreanWar weapons. How the Lee Enfield rifle made it in, I'm not sure. I just pass it as a hunting rifle for civilians.

    Was this a dick move?

Eh. Sorta. You didn't kill the other guy, I'm not sure why you killed the second. So not really a dick move, just an odd choice. I'm obviously missed some significant part of the story as I only paid partial attention. But hey, doesn't look like he lost anything important.

    Technicals!

Force people to have to repair the gun. Reduce speed by a small amount and increase mass. The amount wouldn't change much, just increase the accelleration time, but it would be worse than the offroad truck in terms of speed, but better due to the gun mounted on the back. But the gun needs to be limited. Force people to repair and reload it. A busted gun leaves the truck little more than an offroad truck with decreased speed.
  4. 1. Sounds like a hacker. 2. Sucks that they found a new tool to mess with people. It happens. 3. Most of EVE's Customer support has never actually played the game. They are outsourced, and in many cases their responses are hillarious. "Your Rifter's drone aggro'd him." Rifters have drones? What? And last, Battleye is not the best protection I've seen, but there are worse systems.

    Decrease enfield damage.

Which is why I want more varients of guns and different guns ingame. MORE MORE MORE. I love more. Unless it is small dogs, then less is better ending at 0, which is best.

Bug report - Die without warning

Wrong forum, hopefully a mod will move this.

    Eliminate ALL rifles :)

Sure, let's remove Rifles, NVGs, ghillie suits, shotguns and pistols. We can then replace them with swords, add in base building and rename the game, "ChernCraft"

    Unconscious/Knocked down by Zeds

Travelling alone can often result in your death. Without others to help get the crazed infected off your beaten body, you might not be able to get back up. Have you ever tried getting a person off of you when pinned to the ground? Or a pack of people? Or how about do that when you are sick (weakened) or when they are bigger than you (crazed, super strength infected). Yeah, I think it is fine how it is, and any tweaks made won't really help solo survivors. When alone, your best survival odds comes from completely avoiding the zombies, not trying to steamroll through them, or the areas they are in. Sometimes you get jumped when trying to remain stealthy, sure happens to the best of us, but this is the chance you take when travelling alone. Also, think of it as Karma. You killed hundreds of them and one gets a lucky hit against your temple- Down you go to become zombie chow.

    Weapon help

I like the AK-74 over the M1014 due to the abundance of AK Magazines. For pistols, I always pick the M1911 over anything else I find. .45 ACP take 1 round to kill zombies compared to 3 from the 9mm family. That means 1 magazine of ACP is easily equal to 2+ magazines for the other pistols. When taking into account the killing of players, the M1911 is far better than any of the 9mm pistols. So, AK-74+M1911 from me. But I would suggest finding an AKM, or Lee Enfield for the damage, or any M16/M4 variant for use with Stanag SD magazines if you find them. M16s are fun to fire at unknowing players near towns. The lack of sound tends to make them freak out. The lack of damage sometimes causes them to ignore you for far too long, but most just disconnect after the first round lands. (NOTE: SD Magazines stop zombies from aggroing on you, but without a suppressor on the weapon they do NOT reduce the sound. Players can still hear you)

    WTF?

Either all the worst stuff only happens to you, or you're a troll. Either way, all bugs should be reported in the Bug Reporting section of the forums, please.

    Decrease enfield damage.

Doing my own investigation, I think the 7.62x51mm rounds ingame should do MORE damage. 8k is a bit too low, and probably should be pushed up to 9.9k
  12. I could back degrading weapons due to use, but most games take it too far. After only a few magazines, the weapon becomes next to useless and I think that is a bit much. In real life, you don't see bent barrels or rusted bolts after firing 90 rounds through your gun, and I doubt that'd be well recieved here. Personally, I usually don't fire 500 rounds before I am killed. I survived 19 days ingame, and I probably fired 13 rounds with a CZ550, 60ish rounds with an M4A3, and like 40 rounds with a DMR. So maintaining those weapons wouldn't be much as I'd maybe clean them once and nothing else. So if it was based on realistic cleaning practices (not firing range practices) then I'd back it. Otherwise, I see this becoming a retarded time-sink. EDIT: We also don't routinely run through mud-holes or take dips in rivers, or even wipe our weapons through sand, so jamming wouldn't happen all that often. If my M1911 stove-piped every other round because I fired 2 mags through it I'd stop playing and look for another game.

    DayZ roadblocks, why?

Imagine looters were trying to collect everything into a pile from the abandoned towns, and then zombies chased them off. So everything is left in piles outside on the road. Looting tends to go from random single people trying for jewels and food, to small groups for TVs and survival gear and then to large organized groups after ANYTHING of value. Sometimes they leave junk in the road, and sometimes it piles up. So I can see it happening. For an example, find a place with a lot of extremely poor people and you'll find many old and useless appliances out in the streets as well as couchs, chairs and even old cars. Some people treat their area as a junkyard and less like a town. I could see it happening or the above happening, in a zombie apocalypse. Also, garbage trucks don't make their rounds during a zombie apocalypse.

    Decrease enfield damage.

Ingame, the Lee Enfield is a cheap and plentiful alternative to scoped rifles using smaller rounds. Those rifles offer more visual range for less damage per round. But it is easier to hit and kill the target at those ranges due to the scopes. The Lee Enfield lacks a scope, and the iron sights are good until 300-400 meters. After that, it takes skill to nail a moving target, much less a stationary one. I can easily hit a target in the head (a very small target) with something like the CZ550. I've done this multiple times in a row as ranges as far as 600 meters and over. A Lee Enfield user would be hard pressed to do this, and I bet most rounds might be only a chest or lower body shot. Also, in real life, this would easily obliterate ribs, lungs, internal organs in other areas and the blood loss and trauma from the impact would put you on your back. So in real life, you'd be dead very soon unless you were LUCKY. On the other hand, a .45 round from a pistol has much less force behind it due to the lack of gunpowder. The .45 ACP could easily put you on your back at 45 meters, but at 500 I doubt you could even hit a target with a handgun. Also, a round that size with such low velocity would do much less damage to the human body. Just because you're close-minded and dislike the Lee Enfield doesn't mean it should be nerfed. What is your problem with it anyhow? Any change that still keeps it stronger than a 7.62 would still result in a one hit kill at ranges of 300-400 meters, so nothing really changed. You don't seem to want ALL damage to be toned down, so I can only conclude that you have a dislike of the Lee Enfield because you were recently killed with it.

    Decrease enfield damage.

That sucks for you, but it doesn't change that such rounds in history (303, 30-06, etc) tend to kill unprotected people from 550 meters in one round. The amount of force hitting a target with that kind of round is very powerful, and comparing it to rounds with much less powder sending them off at a much lower velocity (less force) is showing ignorance of firearms and their ammunition. Trying to say because this is a Mod for survival shows you are ignoring that it is based off a military sim game and shows the results of that. Balance comes WITH realism, not fighting against it. In any case, I'd suggest visiting a country with a firing range. More life experiences with all tools are better for people. You expand your knowledge and can make decisions with all the information, not just what you think without any real information. Also, wikipedia doesn't count. So... I'd rather not insult you, as I think your own words do you disservice enough.

    Decrease enfield damage.

I'm very tired and editted my original post when I reread what I had typed. But anyhow, this might be a game but the fact that it is mod based off a military simulator and the guns need to hit pretty hard. We aren't wearing vests designed to stop lead, they are just pouch holders. And I'm not a 'forumdweller', I come here in my spare time, which is like 30 minutes out of the day. That's 23 whole hours of doing other stuff, and I come here when I can't play the game, nice attempt at an insult, though. I find there isn't enough Mechs ingame. Doesn't mean they will be added. I also like AH-64D Apache Longbows, but you don't see me starting petitions to get them added. Have you ever hit something with a .30-06? Ignoring that, the 303 is a 7.7x56 if I am correct, which compared to the 7.62x51mm Nato is a bigger round. That means bigger punch. As the 7.62 does 8k per hit, doing just slightly more at 12k is not a huge jump, seeing the .50 does well over that amount. If it is changed, it will still kill a player before they can bandage their wound, much less get off the ground from the knockout they suffer from the round hitting them. So they'd still die in one hit, it would just take a few seconds more for them to bleed out.

    Decrease enfield damage.

5.56 rounds are actually not much more dangerous than .22 (note: .223 government rounds replace 5.56 as common civilian rounds in USA). Infact, outside of sucking chest wounds, hitting a major organ or the head, the 5.56 is not a good round for killing people. 9mm is about the same. A .45 will drop a person quickly, and a .50 caliber will do some massive damage to anything it hits. Realism changes from person to person and what is hit on them, but usually it takes more than 1 round from an M16 to drop a target. Sure, they don't do flat damage in real life, but I haven't seen realistic organ damage in this game, so I'll just assume the engine doesn't support it. Also, ALPHA MOD. EDIT: Note, I didn't mean in cartridge size, as the amount of gunpowder and shape of the lead is very different. Velocity matters as well as weight and distance.

    Decrease enfield damage.

I know if I was hit by that size of a round I'd wake up on the ground... If I woke up at all. Anyhow, it does seem pretty potent, especially if you compare the damage to 7.62 rifles. But you have to remember that ingame, those rifles tend to kill their targets if they hit, as the first round knocks the target out and they quickly bleed to death. If they survive, they get away with a small fraction of their total health, and might just die to a second round, or even a random zombie. Nah, I like the Lee Enfield, so my opinion is biast, but I love knowing I can counter "Pro Snipa" on random hills with a common rifle and make them rage when I collect their gear and disappear into the woods, using their equipment to survive without even needing to loot a town for it myself. But a slight decrease in damage (still more than 8000 blood, say 10k-11k) would be fine, but the end result would still be an effective 1-hit weapon of DOOM. I like the Lee Enfield.

Give something faster than run, sprint!

There is already a sprint, but you quickly slow down if you keep doing it. W+W really fast, with a primary weapon out it is easy to see the difference over short distances. (as well as the different animation).

    Server Wipe Global

I still support this, after all the other threads I've supported this in. In a subtle way, I'm saying use the search function. Anyhow, I wouldn't be losing much. So you can see this however you like, I'd just like to see how everyone reacts with a complete wipe, clans and newbies alike. As it is now, some people seem to think that since some clans have a few NVGs, that ALL nighttime servers are filled with NVG users, as an example.

    Different Zombie "Attributes"

The guy was asking for stronger zombies based on physical characteristics. Like military zombies wearing those vests having more health, due to the vest. Not the T-Virus Hunters...

    Different Zombie "Attributes"

I don't really want to see more fat zombies... Seen enough. Let's pretend all the fat guys were eaten or died from heart attacks. Anyhow, I like the rest. Military zombies should take a little more to put down than a normal civilian zombie, and maybe add some more kinds of zombies. As it is, zombies seem to have half the health of players, and I don't think that is enough. Sure, they are glitchy, but if rocket lowers the run speed they shouldn't glitch on their paths quite as much. See other games with extreme NPC speeds from the early 2000s. They have the same problem with NPCs glitching through walls and stuff due to their speed. If they ran just slightly faster than people instead of the extreme amount, with extra health to offset the decrease in zig-zag glitch running, it would be cooler and seemingly better made. Just my opinion. Outside of fat or ranged zombies, I support the OP.
  23. Actually, I was thinking of putting a camp that far North-West. Is the terrain up there good? Hilly? Rocky?

    bow and arrows

In real life your area (not being the USA) would be more accomodating for a bow. You wouldn't have a luxery of plentiful ammunition or firearms. As I am in the southern USA, we have no problems getting weapons or their ammunition, legally or otherwise. In my experience, which is obviously different from yours, most people outside of trainers and professionals, can not hit a target with any reliability with a bow, unless is it a very modern, compound bow with some kind of built on sights. These things are not something you could build using a knife, a string and a piece of wood cut off a tree. But those same untrained people can easily figure out that Magazine goes into Magazine Well, safety off and sights to target. They usually aren't very dangerous unless you are a mound of dirt, and so I wouldn't fear many people as they fire at me (the sound WOULD make me flinch, however, and my heart would jump, sure). As this is a survival situation, a bow would be better for hunting game, being more silent, easier to find or rebuild the ammunition (arrows) than a rifle or pistol. But for killing people and generally protecting yourself from this game's style of zombie, I'd much rather have a rifle. And I don't think more than a handful of people per county in the USA can build a working bow with a knife and string. So ingame, seeing a modern compound bow is possible as a crossbow skin or something. But handcrafting a bow? Not likely. And I don't support it.
  25. Perfectly acceptable, if I had needed help or if information provided would have helped me then that is for the best. I can't blame you, nor insult you, for that. And you are right, I did offer up the introverted and sociopath information without question, and the slight work history was only in answer to an assumption made. I made those remarks as I don't want to play a sandbox survival mod with weaknesses I do not have in real life, or things I view as a weakness. If this was a roleplaying game, I wouldn't mind all that much, knowing I was playing a character with a prior history and his or her own emotions and life experiences, giving me the hand to guide and control them and not much else. But I'd rather see this game as a survival mod, and the avatar ingame as a branch of me. I'm playing a game, and any emotional choices should be made by me. Same as the person that asked for a 'bathroom system' to put it politely. I see no reason to make my character pause to relieve himself, when I have to do it in real life. But I'm afraid this thread has gone far off the rail, if you get my meaning.
