    Cigarettes!

Smoking doesn't calm your nerves, it relieves stress from the symptoms of the addiction. Also, the cons far outweigh any gains from smoking. If it were introduced, no one would use it outside of roleplayers, and even then those would be few in number. If you can't guess at the potential negative effects of smoking, then I'm sorry.
  2. You are suggesting something to a mod that we all play, which AFFECTS us ALL. That means we get to add our opinions to whatever the suggestion is, even if some are more insulting than others. The Debug moniter is there because this is an ALPHA, so the stats are saved and we can see if something is messed up. Not all of us play this game like a normal Call of Duty match, so stop trying to use that as an insult. I played COD from the first one, through the PC versions, the xbox versions (Call of Duty: The Big Red One, anyone?) to the Xbox 360, stopping at MW3 (best ones were COD1, COD2 and COD4). Sanity meters are not realistic. They are not needed, and not everyone gets PTSD from shooting someone. PTSD comes from the extreme stress of being on a battefield, constant lack of sleep, mental issues arising from such, and then it all comes together as one disorder, which changes from person to person. It does not always pop up from one man shooting another, cause if it did all wars would end on the first death, as everyone would go nuts and flee the battlefield. Morphine addiction comes from using it when you don't need it, and painkiller addiction is from person to person. generally, you don't get addicted to them when you are in PAIN, only when you continue taking them when you no longer need them. Also, I do agree that the way Blood Transfusions work ingame is a bit odd, but in reality I wouldn't even remotely consider giving someone a transfusion with a random bag that sat in a box for an untold amount of time, in the sun and heat. Want to make the game harder for bandits? Get a group together and hunt them down. Camp their camping spots, observe them and kill someone when they go there and start laying down sniper fire on towns. Punish them INGAME for what they've done. The only person wasting time here is ME, because this freaking thread is like DOZENS of others. Also, the lower half of the Original Post was pretty much rambling. EDIT: Forgot to add, check my sig.

    Police car kills me....

My last encounter with a hacker was him forcing everyone to use Double Barreled Shotguns. He teleported to each player and shot them to death, never reloading his own DB, and killed me through a wall (fun, as I thought it might have been legit, until I fell through the wall trying to escape and watched him dump 3 more rounds into me, leaving me with -17k health). I should have known something was up when my overwatch killed 5 people, then blasted the last one with a magazine with an M24 and the guy didn't die. At first I put it on his poor aim, but when he rushed to his location he popped out and blasted my sniper, insta-killing him. I thought, "Whatever, he shouldn't have ran down the street like that." But then he disappeared from his perch and somehow hit the road, looking for me. When he disappeared again, I still didn't think much of it until I took slugs through the wall. I thought I was being fired on through the window or something, until my back hit the wall (tried to retreat from the windows) and I fell down with a broken leg. I went through the wall, glitchy, and there he was on the other side. I chalked it up to lag, thinking maybe he was in the room and it didn't connect properly. Until I respawned in electro and noticed the town was on fire, there was no loot or zombies and every dead player had a DB shotgun in their inventory. Then I knew something was up. So, like the stuborn idiot I am, I checked my body (DB shotgun inplace of my AKM) and my sniper's body (DB shotgun instead of a M24) and then a dead guy on the second floor of the school house (DB shotgun...). Checked all nearby bodies, 1 of which I KNEW had a Lee Enfield with no ammo, and a crowbar, to find he now had 2 DB shotguns and ammo... Server crashed a few minutes after that when all the bushes burst into flames. Got an Error with a player name, saying he couldn't access Plants2 or something like that, and the server gave me the "No response blahblahblah 15 seconds" message. Fun times... Not.
  4. I'd say more fun without, but to be honest it doesn't really take that long to get a feel for where everything is located and where to go to find what you want. With a loot map, it seems people get bored of the mod sooner than without, but I'd chalk that up to them spending far less time exploring. In the same vein, many might quit because they couldn't find anything and get bored with the lower tier equipment. But being lost WITH friends can sometimes be an enjoyable experience.

    The rush of not alt-f4'ing

Story was okay. 6/10. I usually give some show of respect to people that don't log out just because they took fire. Much too often I have fired on a player just to see them die and disappear. More than a few times they log in, fall to the ground, die and sink into the ground because they logged off after they died, but before their client loaded the death. Once had a friend tell me he was afraid we were going to die. Said he was going to disconnect if anyone shot at him. I responded with, "You log off and I'll kill you when you log back in." Death by an unknown enemy, or by his own teammate due to use of exploits? He picked the honest answer and toughed it out. But others have Alt+F4'd with me when we ran into a firefight, and every one of those people no longer run with me. Can't stand it when the person that is suppose to have my back chickens out. +1 to OP for not disconnecting.

Is this a wrong thing to do?!

In red, please. I think it would be safer to collect a Lee Enfield rifle and camp in the nearby treelines, or find a spot with some overhead cover. On the roof, you are move likely to get picked off by snipers than actually survive long enough to claim a few kills off recently spawned players. Also, if your intent is to get gear, sitting in that firehouse is defeating your own plan, as loot usually doesn't change when you are sitting there. Better gear can be found at Stary, any of the three Airfields or crashed hueys. I'd recommend finding a different place to camp for gear. But you are probably there nearly solely for the kills, and the loot is just an added bonus.

    Trains!

Search Function at the top of the forum. Next time use it, please.
  8. There should never be a sanity meter that punishes banditry, under any name. Also, SEARCH FUNCTION. There are literally dozens, if not hundreds of threads just like this one, changing one word for another with the EXACT SAME SUGGESTION. No. No support. If you don't like people killing each other, either kill the bandits or avoid people, cities and common loot areas such as NWAF, Balota AF or Stary.

    Give zombies more HP

    I like this idea more.

too many hackers. need FF=OFF servers

Try "Simulated Realism" Taking realism to the extreme, while taking into account that it still remains a playable game. Since you take bathroom breaks in real life, there isn't a reason for forcing people to Pee behind a bush ingame. Since it is a game, and perma-banning people because they died would cause everyone to either not be able to play, or stop playing due to this, you'd lose followers. You'd lose business. You'd look like an idiot. Your argument is flawed. Try again.

too many hackers. need FF=OFF servers

    1. OP is trying to get PvE servers and is using known hacker issue as a springboard. 2. PvE servers will NOT be a part of this mod. 3. Hackers will still kill you, and your entire post is rendered moot due to this. Friendly Fire measn nothing when they can change teams, spawn God Mode Zombies on you, or drop a Huey on your head. Or just nuke the server or drop you from the sky. They could even just turn everyone into goats. PvE servers will do nothing to stop this. Infact, it would probably herd the majority of hackers into that server just to say, grief you through your weak defenses.

What is it with American kids hacking?

Every country has hackers, and the US is no exception, but neither is the UK. What people fail to understand is the size of the populations of compared nations, and infact the whole of Europe is only slightly higher in the population than the US, and has about an equal in amount of 'hackers' of their population. Another thing people tend to ignore is that most of these hackers we encounter are just immature people (generally children between the ages of 13-17) and are hacking for the precieved points they gain by hacking a game. It is an ego boost, and nothing more. Those hackers that give everyone a high powered rifle and give random strangers cars, tanks or jets are just messing around. Those that kill everyone on a server, or turn everyone into cows and then nuke them, are nothing but wasted space both on the internet and in real life. They destroy because they can't create, and they use other peoples' work to make themselves feel better (using bought scripts). Due to the ego-stroking nature of this majority of hackers, commonly named, "Script Kiddies", they hit servers with the highest populated servers. These tend to be US Servers, due to the vast amount of US servers on DayZ. They usually don't target specific crowds (one country over another) or groups unless they are offended by them (certain groups of script kiddies hate everything Reddit, for example). Just be happy knowing that these losers will never get laid by normal means. Oh, and Russia does have a large number of hackers, which is probably where Europes larger sized hacking groups come from. EDIT: 2 months of playing, 3 or 4 hackers encountered total. Stop playing on servers with 48/50 people, as they are the larger targets for hackers, a good 30/40 or 25/50 still gives you plenty of people to play with, and is a smaller target for hackers. Remember, the majority of hackers are trying to get attention, and more people means more potential.

    why?

I doubt it was a wallhack. Numberous times I heard, "He killed me with a wallhack!" when in reality they were shot in the back, or through a window. Also, one of my friends got tired of trying to find a way out of a building on my server and decided to jump to another to get out. He picked a server with 1 person on it. Walked out of the building, and that 1 person came around the corner. Less people doesn't mean they are far away.

    US342 gone?

It was up today, and looks like it has only been down for less than half an hour if I have my timezones right. Just wait a little bit, or contact the owner.

MK48 Mod 0 or AKS Kobra

MK48. The AK-74 Kobra is only worth it if your other options are a hatchet or MP5... Just about anything else is better. (Note: I place the Kobra with all other AK variants, but slightly higher due to the sight, and lower than the AKM with the increased damage and zeroing)
  17. You say worse, I say heading towards better.

Why do guys play as girl characters?

3 different reasons. 1. They like to watch a girl's ass move as they run, so they play in 3rd person and watch their character's ass. 2. They want people to think they are chicks, complete with all the perks that come with (women are less hostile towards each other, as long as a man isn't present) and some men are easily, "Whipped". 3. They think the smaller size provides smaller hitboxes and thus an advantage in a firefight.
  19. Actually, outside of moving around the defended location, it is extremely hard to defeat a force that is dug in. Look at World War 1, the American Civil War and the last two years of World War 2 as easy documented modern examples. Unless the enemy has the ability to destroy your defenses without taking fire (aircraft, heavy armor, high explosives) it usually isn't worth taking the losses. In this game, if you know someone is in a building it is best to lock down the exits and toss in a frag. I try to always carry one just for this reason. Note: Do NOT give the frag to a person that hasn't had the experience of using them. YOU WILL SUFFER FRIENDLY FIRE.
  20. Hint: Never tell anyone or show anyone better gear than they have. They'll kill you for it. If you meet a person ingame, they are a potential threat. Make them do everything. Kill the animal, gut it, gather the wood, etc. You are the 'guard'. You are keeping an eye out for other people, AND you have the advantage if the people you are with decide to turn on you. Also, let them lead the group. That way, you don't take the first round in an engagement, AND you can turn on them if you think they will soon do it to you. Also, disappear into the trees at your first opportunity.

    Realistic fauna and immersion

The sounds of animals should be ingame, sure. But the inclusion of other animals? I don't know about some of them. Many would run if they encountered those aggressive, screaming, running zombies that are present ingame. The ones you see are generally the dumbest of the animal bunch... Cows, sheep, goats, chicken. How often do you see them making decisions to flee potential danger? Not often. A goat might, but a neighbor of mine lost a goat because it didn't notice the area was flooding and it drowned. So even they aren't very intelligent creatures.
  22. Guy looting store hears something odd, be it a bus engine or the sound of movement outside said store. He ducks behind the shelves in the back of the store and waits, only to see a guy 'stroll on in'. Bang, bang, free loot and a potential bus. EDIT: By the way, vehicles are loud.

    Zombie Sodomy?

Gay sex with zombies is what comes to your mind? Wow. It could easily be that you are loosing them upon people inside. It's pretty easy to get a zombie train behind you, and then let loose with them. You can also, "loose" them inside a building. Think of it this way, you are freeing them from the proverbial leash. They are chained to you to until you lose them, and then you've loosed them on the building. English, it's a bitch.

    M14 vs FN Fal

I'd rather use the FN Fal, but the rarity of ammo means you either are going to do a lot of crashsite hunting, or you'll be switching out guns sooner or later. Although ammo doesn't start as a big issue, starting with like 20 rounds, you start to run out after the first few kills. If you have 2 mags, you can really try to conserve ammo and make it last a long time as long as you don't go trigger happy on the first player you see. But if you are the kind of player that keeps shooting until you hear flies, then I'd suggest the M14 with the easily supplied ammo.

    Punishment for Bandits

He is saying the annoying flies on corpses are the punishment for bandits, as ones in close proximity have to listen to the annoying buzz if they intend to hold their ground. I guess it is kinda true.
