YetiBum you are correct this is a good shorter way to move into game chat, however the feature is still not working reliably: being able to switch between party and game chat. Our party tested this and it works the first time you switch however if we switch between party and game chat more than once while in a server the game will not allow us to move back to game chat after the first switch over cycle.

Just want to send another comment I have also logged this on bug website. My Xbox party and I did more experimenting last night with switching from party chat to game chat. After my Xbox party entered a server we switched from party chat to game chat through Xbox menu. It worked the first time. However, the party went back to party chat and tried to switch back into game cheat again a few minutes later and it would into work. We did follow steps going through Xbox menu then made sure microphone item was on in the HUD. It seems that if you switch back and forth from party chat to game chat it stops working after the first try. Hopefully the development team is aware of this and will look into a fix.

Xbox Version 63.148707 Update I have tried to move from Xbox party chat to Game Chat while staying in an Xbox party by going through Xbox menu after latest update. When our Xbox party all switched to game chat via Xbox menu and then double pressed down on D pad so the mike icon shows in HUD we were still not able to go into game chat. This only worked if our party backed out of a server and entered a new server while staying in game chat in the Xbox menu. When our party entered the new server we were in game chat after pressing down on D pad and could her each other through speakers in game proximity mode. This was very complicated and forced us to server jump which is not what we wanted to do. We tried several times to move to game chat but had to server hop to accomplish it as noted above. There needs to be a reliable way to move to game chat from party chat.

We have done more testing on switching between game and party chat. Initially it seems that when in a party if the party members all switch from party chat to game chat it works the first time, however if we switch back to party chat then try to go back into game chat again it would then not work. So this is not reliable or consistent.

Does anyone know whether your buried loot disappears from the server if your character who buried it dies?

Still having issues with game chat, I hope this comment helps: Xbox version 63.148707: We have been experimenting while in a party and trying to get into game chat and it is not working reliably. I was in a Xbox party last night and in Xbox party chat. We decided to stay in the party but switch over to game chat after logging into a server. Through Xbox menu we hit the large glowing Xbox button on controller scrolled down to highlight party and then we had an option to go into game chat by pushing the small (select or menu?) button on left of glowing Xbox controller button. We did this and it said we were in game chat. In the game we double pressed down on D pad so microphone icon shows in HUD. The first time we did this everyone in the party seemed to be in game chat and we could hear each other over speakers. However, this did not work after leaving a server keeping the party together and entering another server while in party chat. We could not switch into game chat again??? We tried several times and it would not work. We did find that if we stayed in an Xbox party and also stayed in game chat in Xbox menu we could leave the sever and enter a new server and it would keep us in game chat. But, if we switched back to party chat and then switched back to game chat it would not work. I know this is more complicated than it should be and we do not have confidence that if we are in party chat that we can reliably move to game chat. So maybe further testing on development side is needed? Also a question on your comment above, if we are in party chat and we run up on another survivor in the world can we hear them if they try to talk to us in game chat through our proximity sound so we know to switch to game chat from party chat?

Yes I have noticed frame rate issues and lag when entering large towns and also when aiming down sights in scope mode in those towns to the point of making game not playable.

Questions: 1. Are vests and helmets currently offering protection in Xbox version? 2. Can someone explain the difference between the three armored vests, do they currently provide bullet protection (Ballistic, Press, Anti Stab versions). 3. Does the Press vest provide bullet protection similar to Ballistic vest as it weighs same as Ballistic vest?

I have noticed that guard houses around the map have blue lockers some with doors open. I can see that sometimes loot/items spawn in these locker shelves but are not accessible for pick up. You cannot see the items when you look in the inventory menu in the general vicinity nor can you get a prompt to pick the item up when looking at it directly in game. This has occurred many times. Anyone else seeing this bug?

I was attacked by wolves in the northern military base. They started to fight the zombies and several zombies actually got killed by the wolves. It was intense and fun. I thought I was a goner until I ran into the 2nd floor of a building. The wolves came into the first floor after me.

Sorry I am not sure what your comment/question means? My original post is referring to any item that spawns in the blue lockers, whether it is magazines for guns or suppressors you can not pick them up out of these lockers.

With the new the Xbox version 63.148707 I am still shooting blanks when I reload my gun by holding left trigger (LT) then pressing Y button. If I reload by only pressing Y button this does not happen. Anyone else seeing this bug?

What I have found is that if you load a gun by holding left trigger (LT) and press Y the bullets you fire are blanks however if you just press Y without holding LT then the reload works and you fire bullets that register. Anyone else try this?

Please explain this in detail. 2 items: 1. While in an Xbox party were you able to go into game chat by simply pressing down on D pad or did you have to go into game chat through Xbox menu first? 2. Can you hear other survivors trying to talk to you in game while you are in an Xbox party?

I am having a problem with game freezing and frame rate slow down on Xbox One X. I have reported the issue on the feedback page. Anyone else having this issue as stated below: While in the city of Novodmitrovsk (Using English name of HOBOAM...) in North Eastern section of map when aiming down sites and then using the PSO-1 scope on the AKM rifle (weapon I was carrying at the time) the game starts to stutter and freeze sometimes leading to a game crash. The game was unplayable at this point. This happened repeatedly on the American servers on September 16 and 17, 2018. I was traveling with one other person and the server had 10 or more other people as well on it at the time. Weather conditions in game at time seemed to be cloudy. This also happened in other areas but not as frequently.

Question, For XBOX version is there a way to hold your breath to reduce weapon sway while in scope mode? If not will it be implemented in the future?

I would really like an option to hold breath to reduce weapon sway as well in any stance mode (standing, crouching, prone...). Will this be implemented later?

Will there be a way to switch between in game chat and XBOX party chat? I was in a XBOX party playing DayZ in coop the other day talking in party chat so we could coordinate. However we could not talk in game chat to talk with other players on the server and could not switch to a game chat mode so the social aspect of the broader game was difficult. Am I missing something? If not will the ability to talk in game chat be implemented while we are grouped up in XBOX parties? The ability to play in a coop way seems to be best if you can set up an XBOX party so you can coordinate getting on same server however we lose the ability to talk to other players on the server who are not in our XBOX party.

I read the known issues section and was not clear if this was addressed? I am having an issue where I am in game and can see a magazine in my assault rifle but team-mates tell me there is no magazine loaded. My HUD says there are zero bullets but I can not reload. I go into inventory screen and it shows no magazine in the gun. I am not able to reload the gun either by pressing Y or while in inventory combining a new magazine to the gun. Is this being addressed and is there a workaround while we wait for this bug fix? Also sometimes I am firing blanks which think is a know issue even when my HUD says I have ammo in the gun.

I am also seeing a bug where a mag is visible in my gun while not in inventory screen and it says there are zero bullets. When I go into inventory it shows no empty mag attached to gun. So I am not able to reload or remove any mags on gun. Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Question, Does it matter where you store items on your person when quick slotting them? For example, is there any benefit to having all quick slotted items in a vest instead of a back pack?
