@ThePugman Wow i really hope it is, it looks beautiful, i especially like the wheat fields.. reminds me of ukraine. Saw another video from the recommended list i thought was abit better of a preview. Heres the link for anyone whos further interested.

What about adding a medical tab to explain your characters current medical conditions and treatment options? I think this game being hard is what drew most players towards it, nobody wants a walk in the park. Additionaly i notice most people left the game because of how buggy it is, not because they couldn't figure out how somethings works, or because something is too hardcore. You guys might aswell go all in instead of trying to cater to both sides, as the casual side isn't exactly a crowd that would be interested in this game to begin with or for long, and if they are then i don't see why they wouldn't enjoy more hardcore systems, as long as theres a way to understand them (i.e, a medical tab).

Didn't they add the ability to check someones pulse in 1.04? Hopefully that replaces the ugly text when people talk on the ps4 build currently, hoping i don't see that on the xbox build come 1.04.

I wonder how much upload speed you need 2 host a 100 player server, hopefully everyone hosting has decent internet lol. I'd like to see a server that focuses on realism in everyway it can. What's with all the pc private servers having infinite stamina, shits wack imo.

Ya i agree. If they were to clarify the medical system into its own screen like i said above then there wouldn't be a problem for those who may have a problem understanding, not like that would take much effort to make either. Never have i seen anyone talk about how complicated the medical system is infact it's usually the other way around. -

Just brain storming, i think the tutorial should take place on your 1st playthrough automatically, starting you off with a broken leg & drenched in water ext. (maybe have tutorial spawns). That or have a way to see what items you need to fix your condition, like a textbox in the inventory screen or if they really wanted to overhaul the medical/injury system they could make a whole new screen just for displaying your characters medical condition aswell as ways to diagnose and then treat your conditions. It's hard to imagine that BI seriously think that this feature would make the game to complicated, as @azimov stated, it sounds like an excuse. -

Ya there are plenty of other features that are way more complicated then the medical/injury system. Might aswell have a survival tutorial, that way we don't compromise aspects of the game just to make things easier to understand for new players, compromising now is pointless as like i said there are more complicated features already. -
Looks like were getting private servers in 1.04 so i suppose locked servers aren't necessary.

Honestly great news, i always felt like BI needed to focus more on bug fixes & stablizing what we have atm. Though not committing to an advanced medical/injury system is disappointing especially with the explanation given. Apart from that, i really like the direction BI is going as long as this isn't some big excuse to stop adding features & content. Cant wait to hop on 1.04 once its released on console.

I once was watching a squad from afar, when i noticed one of the them had human steak in his hands that he was feeding to his friends. Instantly regretted not taking the multiple opportunites i had to snipe their faces off, i awaited for a good opportunity to get a clear shot when i lost sight of them behind a few containers (they all left the server as it was turning night). Sometimes that's all the action you can get in however many hours of playing. That's why a fat que is worth it in my opinion, you get to play the game but with alot less fuckery.

I was thinking if you just added some locked servers you would get better game experience in that player interaction would be better as the players in that locked server are looking for a similar experience as you (not talking about kos i think that's fine) reducing things like combat logging, ext, which will always plague the game. The fact that everyone most likely will be waiting in a que for awhile before they join would indicate that they have some amount of patience and also maybe indicate that they value their character or just a more authentic game experience... I just think the difference would be night & day.. Literally. I agree though that locked servers shouldn't be the solution to everything, but i think they are worth having for the players who want to use them.

Ya for some reason as BI has stated before in a livestream months ago that having locked servers would make it hard for friends to play together, aswell as some other things that were so irrelevant i forgot. Someone once suggested making half the servers locked or even adding a few to experiment. I don't think BI realize the pros out weigh the cons, even if i had to sit in a que for an hour to play on my locked server i would as i bet many others would if it ment not dealing with exploits. I think there should atleast be a few locked servers for every region, 1pp & 3pp. Granted locked servers don't make the game bug or exploit free, it's a great start. BI seems to have some other things in the works to combat current exploits though. I think locked servers should still be a option for the players that want it, with or without exploits.

As far as i know the certification process takes about 5 days to 14 depending on how many games are going through the certification process, so maybe this friday at best(if they submitted monday). I noticed last update for xbox (1.02) came a little sooner then anticipated, allowing BI to cover their backs incase they ended up not delivering, or surprise the community with an early update. It's a win win, that's just a conspiracy though.

The devs talked about this in a livestream, apparently making people locked to servers would make it to hard for friends to meetup, among other small reasons that are somehow more important then the game breaking bugs locked servers would fix. 1.04 is somewhat fixing server hopping, hopefully duping aswell, so maybe locked servers wont be needed soon, i doubt that though.

@bent.toe So shit went batshit sideways, day 9 it was constant automatic fire, about 2 hours in got killed in a confusing nightime shootout, lost all my shit, got it back thanks to a freshie i befriended during my stay at electro, he single handedly kill 5 dupers who all had fals & m4s but one, we eventually drove that car together me my close buddy gog, and this freshie friend i met in electro (All of us never even seen a functional vehicle out of all our play time.) Good times, ended up crashing twice first time gog crashed because he plays racing games and got cocky. 2nd time my freshie buddy crashed during a lagspike. Ended up having 2 find a new radiator both times. Crazy adventure 2 bad i didnt make it out of electro with my character that survived 8 days. oh ya and im a full blown duper now. lol.. Duping is like selling your soul, once you do it.. Ain't no goin back! All of your dayz desires, anything you could ever want bent.toe.. Joooiiinn mee, join us bentoe. Shhh its ok there will be a patch from the dayz gods above sometime, Its all gonna be alright. Seriously though even though im now duping i hope they fix this trash, im just gonna hook some freshies up, experiment a little, have fun. It's the way she fuckin goes.

True they didn't say that exactly, but it sounded like they basically implied it. Its at 45 minuites in. After rewatching though i think they ment something else, they also say "next update" its not clear to me if thats 1.03 or 04 they're talking about.

Ya i think so, honestly i feel you but with duping in the game right now and NVGs in 1.03 it makes sence, they're also trying to get the pc and consoles to have synchronized updates, aswell as talking about fps fixes in certian areas/towns and when alot of people are around so im assuming we might be seeing a real good update 1.04. The ps4 release should've waited though imo.

@bent.toe they said ps4 pros getting 4k support and if you run it in 1080p it is "buttery smooth" lol. however that was the marketing guy who said that, could be a mistake lol.

That would be nice, i dont recall that part but do remember them mentioning how potential duping fixes will be implemented into 1.04. Ive always wanted locked servers so hopefully that's the route they take.

Just the idea of seeing a helicopter is dope, but ya it would probably fly like a rock. About to get my 1st vehicle running after surviving in electro for 8 days, decided to see how long i could survive in electro, saw a car 1st day, told myself i could only leave if i got the car running. Lol wish me luck

The only thing dayz has going for it is.. Well almost everything, theres no game like it, but that doesn't constitute a AAA price point. If there wasn't game breaking bugs i wouldn't mind, at that point the devs deserve it, and i would be happy to support the game as the idea is original and good. I think we need to reward companies that take risks and get a little creative just to satisfy its customers and fill a nieche or unexplored territory in gaming. Unlike most companies that make triple AAA titles that are nothing more then a recycled idea made for the purpose of cashing out. Dayz devs seem to have good intentions but i have to say a AAA price point doesn't look good when the game is in the state that its in. Regardless i play everyday, thank god i paid 30$ for my copy when it first came out. I feel bad for you guys paying 70$ because to most of you it wont be worth it, and might leave you disappointed, but good fixes hopefully will come soon, and the 70$ price point will be irrelevant imo.

I got the vibe from the stream that we were going to skip 1.03 on console and get 1.04 sooner then we expect. Im just going to guess with a little optimism and say at the end of june or beginning of july we'd see 1.04 on console if my vibe is right. Definitely on pc around then, just guessing based off the last few patches.

So you think since you've experienced everything, that everyone else should be limited to this broken gameplay loop because you happen to like it? It's funny because you literally could do this without dupers but somehow exclusively getting weapons that are duped is a better gameplay loop then the normal loop which offers the same thing but more. Regardless everyone and their unborn daughters know duping is broken, and takes away more then it gives. I applaud you for enjoying the current state of the loot economy, but you trying to get a reaction out of people with a passive aggressive headline and responses is just wack & is the only reason i responded to this idiodic topic.

Then again theres no point of going inland, as most players and loot are now on the coast. But people definitely dont play smart on the coast especially in 3pp, the coast is a place people go when they can't take the boredom so they just go to the most populated area an try to unleash their suppressed love for Call of duty.

Been surviving in electro for 8 days about 5 hours a day, 20+ interactions, 4 or so kills. High pop, 1pp like always. Haven't died yet, plenty of risk, tbh i could throw myself at people on the coast and i wouldn't die. Im curious are you on third person servers? Usually people on the coast in third person are even worse from my experience, aswell as theres more dupers. Also haven't found an m4 or ak since 1.0 or duper bases, why would dupers even bother building a base? The whole base thing is trash imo, not sure all the best loot should be hidden & dupped in bases or probley more common, in holes or barrels nobody will find.
