Dropping on the ground has never worked for me. I keep an eye on forums for fixes, but they dont work for ne. Ive got bigger problems at the moment because my game wont even boot up since the update, and Ive reinstalled it twice.

Right, you guys really arent getting what Im saying here. Since the update, my game is totally bricked. Its still bricked right now. Ive restarted my console 3 times, Ive uninstalled the game and reinstalled it twice, and it takes me 6 hours to download it. When I click on DayZ on my dashboard, i get an error message saying the game has failed to launch ( error code 0x87e1000c), and that if the error persists to uninstall and reinstall, which I have now done twice and the game is still completely bricked. Since the update, I cant access the game at all, cant boot up, cant get to the title screen, cant access server list, the game just DOES NOT WORK FULL STOP. I do know full well what a GP entails, what it does not entail is handing money over, and not getting any game at all, which is where Im currently at.

I think most of the complaints are because youre thirsty from first spawn. If you spawned fully hydrated and had a bit more time I think most people would likely be fine with the balance as it is.

Thats from last week though, my game only had this issue directly after the update. Ive uninstalled it now and trying a reinstall. Only issue is the download takes 6 hours :(

What arent you guys getting here. Im not complaining about servers being down, not complaining about bugs, my complaint is that the update totally bricked the game, completely, it wont even boot up from the xbox dashboard, wont even get to the title screen, its totally and completely bricked!!! I cant even get to the title screen, never mind the server list, I cant even get it to boot up from the xbox dashboard!!!

I didnt pre order a game, its supposed to be a playable pre release version. Right now I cant even load the title screen, the game wouldnt be any different right now if I deleted it. When you pay good money for a game, the minimum expectation is you can actually load your game up, I cant even do that!

When I buy a preview game, I expect the game to at least load up, I didn't pay £40 for a dayZ image in my games library and that's it! Right now I've basically played for the privilege of saying I own the game and nothing else, must have missed that bit in the disclaimer.

Well todays patch has broken my game entirely, it wont even load the title screen now, even after 3 console resets. Hope my £40 is being put to good use.

Well the game wont even load now after the update, just hangs on the load screen you see before the title screen. Ive reset my console 3 times. Ive gone from the highest priced preview game in history thats costs more than most pc full release games, thats bare bones with most of the fundamental functions broken, to a game that cant even manage to load a title screen. Well done devs, well done ???

Youre not meant to have one in game unless you find all the pieces. I like the game how it is for the most part, I get bored of all the modern games that hold your hand the entire way (tomb raider ?). I guess you play the game as intended or just use the phone map app if you want a map. I actually prefer having a zoomable map sepertely on my phone.

Just make a suppressor, its much easier. Use an empty water bottle and some duct tape, that what I use on mine. Shame the empty mag sticking in the gun pretty much ruins every weapon after a single use.

Leave and enter towns on the roads. The roads have road signs that will help you orientate yourself, then just travel between towns using the roads. The roads are pretty safe to use at the moment.

I dont agree with this at all. I prefer having to work for everything, which is kind of the point in DayZ. You should be able to work in game to acquire this ability though, like you both have to find a radio, own a compass, and own a map, and then be able to use the radio in hand to guide you. Once you have a radio, you should hear static unless your're on the same channel as someone else, so you can choose a channel with friends (but this can be eaves dropped if someone else with a radio is on the same channel). The audio should be clearest if youre facing directly at the other person on the radio, and have static if not. If you also own a compass, combine it with the radio and a compass overlay should appear when the combined item is in hand.

I agree the meter drops overly quick, at least when you first spawn. Once you get set in game, its still too fast but you can manage it. There are a few simple tips that seem to work for me, but it still needs balancing out a bit better: Use a readily available online map to navigate You generally spawn in a coastal area, figure these out and use the map to orientate yourself as fast as possible, and make heading for water your first priority - plenty of streams and ponds about If you get to a stream, spam the drink for a while and keep going until your guy is sick, it will buy you hydrated time.

Im finding the servers can be a pain in certain ways, but getting onto an actual server isnt too problematic, you just have to pick a server thats mid populated and drop out of queues and just try another server, Im usually on a map with 5 to 10 mins. The biggest issue is joining friends, the option to join or invite friends is almost never there, but you can manually find the servers using the filters. I own the game.
