So I recently found out that you can somewhat mod servers on the console DayZ (haven't played for some months), like increasing/decreasing weapon spawns, changing where they spawn, changing player spawns, spawn buildings, increasing/changing chopper spawns etc etc, I don't know to what extent you can modify servers, like, can you modify stamina to have infinite stamina? Can you spawn weapons that aren't in the game yet? Like an RPG-7, M249, Bison, bows and arrows underslung launchers etc? I haven't a clue and would like to know this stuff. Also, I'm looking for a high slot, high pop server to call home, that has been modded with increased spawns and all that good stuff, nothing too serious, I just wanna have a good time and have some gun battles and stuff, without people getting butthurt about dying and running to admins to get me banned or whatever. Can anyone recommend such servers. Thanks. :)

So I ran all the way to Tisy from the coast, found no guns or loot, got hungry, couldn't use food and drink cause broken game, then I starved and died cause broken game. Don't think I can be bothered to waste my time on this game anymore, it's literally running around finding nothing and dying from bugs that may as well be called game features cause they never get fixed. :/

I'm absolutely not a noob at DayZ, I know where to loot and get food and basic guns and gear, I know where the tents are on the way up north. I know what I'm doing and know where to go, hence why I spawn and buck it straight up north, I'm not an idiot and know how to play the game. I never stay round the coast battling simpletons with shotties and BK18s playing the game like it's COD. I like the real fights that are up north, you know, the fights that require the use of your brain. I spawned and ran to Tisy, I had enough food and drink to survive Tisy and beyond, but the DayZ feature that makes you unable to eat or drink or use guns etc is what killed me, not me being a noob. I died because of the game not working as it should have, not because of my actions.

I haven't played DayZ on Xbox since the 1.05 update. Thought I'd jump in today and have a little play, but nope. Every server I try join, it loads like normal, but then just freezes on a blurry image of my character and that's that, restarting the game does nothing, hard reset on Xbox does nothing, if I uninstall and reinstall the game, well, if I unistalled it I wouldn't bother to reinstall because it's DayZ. :/

I suspect a majority of the people who got a 10 slot server that's always empty, is probably because they thought they could loot up their server and go into a different server with said loot. lol

I always seem to spawn at Berezino, even after 1.04, gotta get myself ganked by zombies a few times to get a better spawn, that's why it sucks that they removed the stone knife on spawn. Also if my character is one of the ones I don't like I'll gank myself till I get a good one lol

Bumped into two packs, AK quickly sorted them out lol

Will there be Free Play Days in the near future? Like Vigor just had over the weekend? My mates can try the game then, keep telling them to get it but they say there's not enough content for the price lol

I would recommend trying to join someones locked server, check in the recruitment part of the forum. :)

If you're talking about character wipes, I haven't experienced that on the private server I play on, can't say the same for bases or stashes or vehicles etc. I do notice more random disconnects than on official servers tho. Also if you play on a private server and the the population drops to nothing and dies, you can't take your gear to another server, so there's that downside. :/

They pretty much perform as well as official servers. Would recommend joining one with accelerated night time, so you aren't waiting an hour and half for it to pass. :)

Yeah, I play with a char on official and a different char on private, I switch back and forth between them. :)

Was watching a streamer that accidentally duped a car wheel when he was disconnected from his server, he didn't get teleported to a different spot as well, so duping is possible, just think it's a bit more of an inconvenience for the people that do it. Pretty sure there'll be god tents popping up in a month or two. :/ You should probably try join someones locked server where duping isn't allowed. :)

Have you tried taking multivitamins with the tetracycline? Multivitamins increase resistance to disease and I think they speed up recovery as well. Haven't tried this combo yet so don't know if it works.

20 minute queues? Try joining one of the only three first person servers in the EU. I would like a 20 minute queue, it's taken 20 minutes to just move 2 positions, I'm currently position 17 and it's nearly midnight, can't imagine how long I'd have to wait at peak times. I might get in this server at about 6am. xD

I don't know who's server it is, I play on it because it's 100 slots and open, is low to medium pop depending on the time. Always seems to be sunny as well, think the day is shorter than Official servers, but doesn't bother me because night time lasts about 10 minutes.

So, the first few hours of 1.04 were a big boxing match at Berezino, which calmed down after a while, it was hilarious. I did get gang banged by a meatball and his buddy, but it's all good. Performance has improved, although not as good as it was in the closed preview way back when. Still some FPS issues in big cities, which is manageable but could be improved (I'm sure it will in future updates) but at least I'm not getting froze and beat to death by zombies. So that's a win. The game looks a bit sharper for me, I don't know if I'm imagining it, or they did something to graphics, but it looks a bit better to me. Gunplay, also I don't know if I'm imagining it, but it seems like it's a tiny bit better than it was, can't explain it but it feels a bit better. And you can now load empty mags without having to go into your inventory, which is amazing. I haven't found any of the new weapons yet, but haven't gone to any of the northern military areas to check around. I beat a man to death with a baseball bat because he had nice shoes without holes in them, so I'm pretty much Negan from The Walking Dead s7 now. I saw a guy drive his half built banger mobile into Cherno and get jacked, they mowed him down with no mercy, it was hilarious to witness. Throwing stuff is nice, although sometimes items seem to disappear after throwing them, also zombies are distracted by flares and the smoke effects and colours are nice. Haven't tested frags yet, don't want to blow myself up by accident. Zombies go down in a few hits to the head, sometimes one hit, which I like. Now, managing inventory! It seems like some inventory sections aren't expanding fully which makes you unable to see some items in your inventory, and if you have a lot of items in your inventory you can't scroll to, or see the items at the very bottom, I think you can just drop the clothing/backpack and pick them up to fix? Haven't tried that yet, as I've just recently learned about this work-a-round. Also, sometimes equipping grenades on vests makes you unable to select any items in the vest, same with radio transmitters on backpacks. This has only happened twice. Haven't figured out how to rotate stuff in inventory yet? Looting gear off zombies, doesn't work as intended, I'm sure? You can't hit X to transfer to your inventory, or hit Y to equip it, you have to hold A on the item and press RB to transfer it to your hands before it lets you equip things. Hands must be empty for this to work. I didn't know about this at first and missed out on bullet proof vests and a few different military helmets. Community servers, could do with a search bar, but yeah. I've been playing on an open 100 man server called Backfire test server, which I've had no major issues with, although can get hourly disconnects in the early AM hours, which doesn't really bother me. I have seen talk about being unable to pick items up off the ground, or out of inventories etc, and invisible ammo in guns that don't register hits. I haven't experienced this yet, maybe because I'm playing on a community server? idk And that's pretty much my 1.04 experience so far, probably missed a bunch of things that aren't on the top of my head, but I'm satisfied with this update. I will be heading up north to try find some of the new guns later. Looking forward to 1.05 and beyond. :)

I believe DayZ servers for PC and PS4 have to be purchased through the website, https://server.nitrado.net/eng/offers?promo=dayz, On Xbox you have to download the Nitrado app from the store and get them through that. :)

I've been playing on Backfire test server since the update dropped, haven't experienced any character wipes. Saying that I'll log on later and will probs be wiped lol

You can take gear off zombies, have empty hands, hold A on the item and press RB, will move it to your hands. :)

That's what I was thinking, didn't suspect it was a duped stuff. Was pretty close to Zele so thought the owner might be looting the military there and stashing it. Was 2 small tents and a vehicle tent.
