Thats bullshit. As the past showed us, side channel only made people memes. "Who´s shooting in Elektro?" The real problem in this is, that 90% of the shoot on sight guys, wouldnt have the balls IRL to pull the trigger. Its the state of mind, that they´re somewhat anonym and that this is still a game. Plus, you only get rewarded for killing. There is no consequence in killing others beside attracting other players by your gunshots.

well it will be allways like this, spawning with no gear at all just makes you an easier target. Had a similar experience though, was running along a road and seeing two ghillee guys in the distance, aggro´ed a zombie from 200 meters and thought "well, nothing to lose, maybe those guys help me". So i ran straight to them and yelled over direct "PLEASE HELP ME", they immideatly started shooting, the zombie was still after my while i ran my circles around them. Allready wondered why he didnt died, when i hit the ground. :D Bunch of douchés.

I´ve run about 70 minutes with no tree in sight. Just respawn, worked for me. Sure its annoying to loose your stuff, but collecting it is a major part of the game.

I totaly agree with the OP.

I like the Zombies right now as they are. They should be a threat. Of course the Players should remain the biggest threat but honestly, Its great now. It should really be a matter if you shoot some guy and the zeds are going apeshit on you. The way it was before allmost every encounter was like "Meh, get rid of those zeds and get the loot of the guy we shot."

Im sorry for your bad experiences but honestly you dont understand the game. I mean no offense buddy, but: I just had to restart my character. After 1.7.1.1 I found myself logging in the debug plains, after running straight SE for 70 minutes i gave up und just had a restart about half an hour ago. I started near Otmel I think, directly on spawning I aggro´ed 2 zeds only by spawning. I Managed to lose them (the zombies are really a bit to aware right now, but the new "losing them" mechanic is great) and run straight into the woods, after about 20 minutes Forrest joggin I reached some castle wich was swarmed with zeds. I took my time, watched them go by and got myself a 1911. Wasnt that hard to get. You just need to be very carefull, this isnt an action based game. Take your time, let the infected move by and grab what you can at the right moment.

Never had this experience tbh. But I was eaten by rocks, launched in space by rocks. Died from Ladders. Fell off a roof while login in, because my character startet running even without my hands at the keyboard. I Spawned every time i weared a Fancydress in the ocean and right now im in the Debug Plains. :) I´ve just have to deal with it, because I still enjoy the mod.

You´re using presets with some additional mods/stuff. Had this once too when i tried to connect via the server broswer and created a preset to join with the server. Had some CBA mods that wouldnt let me join on other servers. So its simple, create another preset with only the Dayz mod and the Arma beta patch.

It works Didnt worked for me so far. Tried the "Canada 2" thing too. Run about 70 minutes straight SE. Nothing at all.

Got the same problem. I use the 1.7.1.1 hotfix with the arma 83525 patch. Logged out near Berenzino to make myself something to eat IRL. After logging in again, about 40 minutes later, I found myself near about 30 other characters. None of them moving but a few dead though. Tried another server, allmost same thing. Some Dead guys, some Living and some Shooting at me. Next server, still the same. After checking the Forum and Youtube, i ran about 70 minutes straight South East. Then I had to log off to go to work. A Real shame. Just had a respawn because of the "Fancy dress spawns you in the ocean Bug". I dont really care about spawning again but in the actual patch, I´m kinda happy that I got a weapon and dont want to loose it again. :/ How about a Location reset?
