    Standalone: what will it change?

^Heard from who where? Sources man, sources.
  2. Shouldn't even need to use the Search Function when there's clearly multiple other related threads on the first page.

    Standalone: what will it change?

Hackers won't be able to spawn in inappropriate content from ArmA anymore.

    People are assholes

It's a game, there are no real consequences and everyone's practically anonymous.

    Game is unplayable

Newbie alleges game is 'unplayable'. Front page stats indicate otherwise: Unique Players: 444,997 Players in Last 24h: 121,158 Alive Characters: 366,200

    Saigia-12k Shotgun? WHAT?!?

    Probably hacked.
  7. That is the Ural, which is a legit type of truck however it is usually blue. So I'd wager that it's 'hacked in'. Normal Blue Ural: DayZ Wiki - Vehicles: http://dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Ural_Civilian Sometimes helicopter crash sites have a lot of ammo so the gear could be legit. Whilst It's not strictly "ethical" to take/use hacked-in items I doubt you'd be banned for it

    WTF Was that?

Nothing new, such cheats have been around on ArmA 2 long before DayZ. EDIT: Thread belongs in Cheat Reporting section: http://dayzmod.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=34

    We don't need patches, Rocket.

Patches are exactly what we need to fix the issues you raise. How else would they be addressed?

    Realism...

Realism in games is merely a relative measure and involves various aspects from gameplay to graphics. Just because a game has a fictional element like zombies doesn't mean it can't be *realistic* in other areas. Realism doesn't necessarily conflict with *fun* either, which is a very subjective thing anyway. All that said, I do slightly cringe when people call ArmA a "realistic military simulator" despite it being riddled with quirky issues and 'gamey' aspects (like the magical healing and resupply system).

    Question About Hacks

I doubt players get banned for just picking up hacked-in items. It's completely unreasonable for starters. There are quite a lot of people who say you will, but probably just because they heard that from someone else. Those that claim they themselves were banned simply for picking up a hacked-in item likely were banned for another reason, but that can't really be verified anyway.
