I usually only shoot people if their body language, or the sound of their voice makes them seem like they're going to kill me. In your case, I would've just been safe, and found a less ''open'' spot to cover your friend from. You, I probably would've shot you thinking you were a sniper.

Fresh spawn at Otmel, I grab a hatchet, and run towards Elektro. As I get close to sniper hill, I hear frantic AS50 shots going off... I decide to get myself some sniper blood. I start making my way up the hill. I see a guy in a ghillie suit with an AS50 TWS, so I walk behind him and scream through direct chat, and hatchet the fuck out of him. Bitch alt-f4ed. Just as this guy disappears I start taking fire from another AS50. It's this other bitches friend. I quickly turn around and start strafing side to side while this bad kid is missing shot after shot. He wastes all 10 of his shots, and just at that moment I'm close enough to hack the douche straight to the forehead. I killed him, but he alt-f4ed just as he died, so his body sunk into the ground. Seriously guys? 1 guy with a hatchet > 2 snipers with AS50's (1 with thermal)???? You bad. EDIT: I felt like I needed to say that I don't think ALL snipers suck, haha. I know there are definitely really good sniper/spotter teams out there. Hell, even I snipe every now and then. (But I NEVER snipe fresh spawns)

It's awesome that people are making new maps and everything, but if they just want to make maps MADE for PvP, why don't they just uninstall DayZ and play OG Arma? I have nothing against killing people in DayZ, it's all a part of the game. But if you're going to make some kind of deathmatch map... just go play CoD or Arma.

One of our very own active forum posters has been a very butthurt server admin. I'm not going to mention his name, or call him out, but his name does rhyme with herpy dooves. His server has side chat, and this is where all the butthurtness went down. Here is the transcript as I can remember it... eh hem.. ''Herpy dooves was killed'' SERVER RESTART ''My Hero: hahaha i killed him at the airfield and he restarted the server hahahaha'' ''My Hero has been kicked by battleye client: admin ban'' Restarting a server, and banning his killer because he's butthurt over death. Too funny.

If you could see chat, it would only put HIM in a worse position. The whole time he was just whining and complaining about how he can ''do whatever (he) wants (he) doesn't give a shit about losing his server''.

I have a feeling that if I were on your server right now you would've restarted it, banned me. My post has nothing to do with getting his server revoked. If you're a shitty admin that controls a server like a butthurt 12 year old, then it deserves to be known.

Thousands of barbed wire was him just exaggerating. Everyone was talking earlier about hoarding our inventories with barbed wire and laying them around. I assume that's what he did :P

So here's the story, I was running around minding my own business for a while when I come across another survivor. He has no idea I'm behind him. ''Hey there Buddy!'' I said through direct. ''What do you see?'' ''A player, do you see him?'' he said as he walked slowly backwards, going from in front of me, to behind me. I knew something else was going on... I scanned all around us and there was nothing to be seen. Using the ALT key, I looked behind me; His gun was pointed direct at the back of my head. At this point, I knew EXACTLY what he was doing. I ran to the side as quickly as I could, turn around and just as I put my first shot into his chest, he put one into mine. For 5 seconds I put every last bullet into his filthy skull, and he fell to the floor, laughing like menacingly through direct chat. I felt... Like a badass, this player had the jump on me. I had my back turned to him and I still came out as the victor, so I was ''pumped up'' and my next actions, were something like this...
