    Melee

    Nice. :D
  2. Turin (DayZ)

    Tracking

Wouldn't this kind of deviate from the game's realism a bit?

    Drinking from Sources

Agreed. It's fairly ridiculous dying of dehydration when there's an obvious water source but no canteens around.

    Molotov

I like the idea, as a makeshift weapon.

    Bring back the startgun

I disagree. Getting rid of the starter gun was a big improvement in my opinion, as it helps shift the emphasis away slightly from PvP deathmatch gameplay back onto zombie survival.

    why am i

You often start in a fairly remote area like a field, usually quite near to the coast. And since the 1.7.1 patch you don't start with a gun, so you have to go find one. As for why you can't move... no idea. Maybe there was something wrong with the server you joined?

    Super excited for 1.7.1.2!

Melee weapons should be good as long as they're not too powerful or common. Otherwise they might take some of the urgency out of those situations where you're out of ammo and feel defenceless.

No gun at the start of the game ?

Getting rid of the starter pistol was a great decision in my opinion. There's bound to be some idiots who target weaponless players for fun, but overall it should reduce the amount of PvPing along the shoreline and encourage cooperation.
