this is a big one for me. i dont like the fact that i can know that someone is in the area, just cuz zombies were there before i got there. i know the zombies spawn like this to keep the load on the server down, but id love it if they were always there, and could wander anywhere they liked... in forests, between cities, etc. walking into a hoard of zombies in the middle of the forest at night would scare the shit out of me.

best thing u can do is trust no one, and avoid others at all costs. yes this will force u to play solo unless u have friends on, but atm its not worth the risk to try and find someone thats friendly, even if they have the hero skin.

its already possible. buy a 2nd copy of the game. and im sure u will be able to do the same thing with the standalone. buy multiple copies.

until someone posts a legit SS of someone finding a as50 tws at some kind of spawn location, i would keep the mind set that they are hacked in. i have seen a ton of these on bodies/camps but have yet to come across 1 at a legit spawn location. not to mention, i believe rocket, or some other dev would have posted that they do spawn now, anyone u come across is most likely hacked, and then duped(which ive seen through tents).

never said i dont use them. your right, i would be at a disadvantage if i didnt use them. and how am i forcing my style of play onto others? im not saying your a terrible player for using a tent. i would just like the game to be even harder. this is a suggestion forum, and i made a suggestion. i didnt demand that everyone stop using tents, or else im quitting. as i said before, i agree they are useful, there needs to be a way to store items, i just dont believe they fit the "permadeath" aspect of the game where your items persist from life to life.

"They make life easier" understandable. But why should it make your 2nd, 3rd, 4th life easy as well? You also stated earlier that tents make life easier for people that don't stay here the coast, well they make life even easier for the people that do stay near the coast killing fresh spawns. im killing noobs, but if 1 of them does happen to kill me.... who cares i have my supply waiting for me on my next life.

I understand vehicles dont work with this idea, but its just a basic idea atm(i'm more in favor of the items inside tents/vehicles despawning when u die, as opposed to removing them completely, tho with duping id be ok with tents being gone till it was fixed). Dunno if its possible, but tie items stored in a vehicle/tent to the players GUID and have them despawn when the hive reads that they died. Tents have nothing to do with being a better player. The idea of this game, in my mind, is that dying is the worst possible thing to happen to you. The point of getting all that top tier loot should make you not want to die more than the fresh spawn with a hatchet and some road flares. You can still setup camps, but it would make it even more of a challenge knowing that all the hard work you put in is gone if you run into cherno/elektro to snipe fresh spawns, without a care of losing your gear, because you can run back to your tent and restock. And the "better players" will be the ones that can stay alive, not the ones that spend hours loot cycling, server hopping, or duping items. Finding other players tents would be even more interesting, knowing that you just fucked them over by taking all that shit they worked for. Another thing this does, is prevent the flood of top tier items into the game. If they never disapear then eventually there will be way too many of them in the world, and will lose the rarity that is suposed to be associated with them. tbh, the fact that when you die, you can have all the top gear in the amount of time it takes you to run back to your tent is more like COD than the way I think DayZ should be. Oh I died? Doesnt matter I "leveled and unlocked my guns, or perks or w/e they are called" I'll have them when I respawn.

this is the same exact feeling i have toward tents. i shouldnt be able to stock pile anything and everything ill need for my next life. now if there were a way for the tent to despawn, along with everything inside it when the person that placed it dies, then i would be in favor of that. you should be allowed to store things somewhere safe while you are alive, but once you die, you shouldnt be able to access it again.

exactly. there have been a lot of people complaining about "spawned in weapons" or that "x weapon is too OP" and all these complaints come down to 1 thing. duping. the rarest items in the game now are all over the place, making them common items now. everyone has an as50, ghillie, nvg, rangerfinder, l85, etc. i really wish there would be a hive wipe + tents removed till the duping is fixed(and if im not mistaken its been said that it cant be fixed till the standalone.)
