You should probably do something like this for all of your change notes or have someone else write them for you because they're confusing as hell.I think each individual note should concisely state what the new and previous behaviors are without having to think about the wording. Something like "[Fixed] Infected are no longer deaf" would be perfect. Note the use of "No longer"

I searched "dog house" and didn't see any other threads. Not that this is a critical bug, but I'm still surprised that this hasn't been brought up.

I've only seen loot spawn at a dog house twice EVER and both times it was floating in the air. Is loot spawning at dog houses broken?

If you and your friend were too close he may have accidentally knocked you unconscious. It's happened with my friends plenty: we're proning around with no players in sight and all of a sudden one of us has a broken leg, loses large amounts of blood, begins bleeding out, and is laying unconscious. You get the shock debuff from taking damage from a player or the environment which includes many bugs involving your body clipping weirdly with other objects.

Huh? Your wording was a little confusing, but in my experience if I have say a Lee Enfield with 2 mags, when I move the Lee Enfield to my backpack it also moves the ammo meaning I need 12 slots free. I know if you try to move a weapon to a backpack without space it gets deleted, but I'm not sure how it works if you don't have room for the weapon AND the ammo so I always make sure I have space for both just in case.

I agree we should always, at least during the alpha, see death text. A lot of the time I don't know if I was shot from far away or some bug killed me :( -
Bandit heartbeat? What is it and how it works?

Unless I'm mistaken I think one of the issues on this forum is the lack of an effective search. From what I can tell it only searches for exactly the string you supply and doesn't actually allow multiple keywords. This problem is compounded by the fact that we have users of many different languages creating differences in phrasing. Am I doing it wrong? How do I effectively search for threads about potentially changing the hatchet to a secondary instead of primary? Searching "hatchet secondary" doesn't return anything, nor does "hatchet, secondary" or "hatchet; secondary".

This one gives some nice additional info (such as what exactly generic loot can contain), but can you search in any fashion for an item? When I spawn I use dayzmap.info and search for ItemHatchet so I can get my zombie slaughtering tool and fearlessly run the city looting. Once I find my hatchet I change the serach to alice pack and continue looting. Whenever I find a vehicle I change my search to engine parts and get going. The search is super useful on dayzmap.info

I kinda figured these out after a long time exploring and reading the forums. A 'p' is a bus stop, a box with a flag is a diner (2 floors with a fair amount of loot), and blue square boxes are water towers.

Anyone else wish the changelog was a little less confusing? I know rocket has his way, but I wish I could read a line without it being ambiguous. I feel a line like "* [FIXED] Error reports are almost invisible (has now been fixed)" should read "[FIXED] Error reports are no longer invisible" as this concisely tells you both the previous behavior and the new one without you having to think about which way he intends for it to work. Shit, I wouldn't mind fixing those posts for him if I was able.

Answer me this. In a real combat situation if you were trying to sneak up on someone or avoiding someone sneaking up on you. Would you and your squad mates be chattering like old ladies or would you all be SILENT? There are moments when you all need to shut up and listen. Turning up the footsteps is not the answer unless you are fighting enemies with a club foot. Answer me this. In a real combat situation can you heal broken bones with morphine? In a real combat situation can you hide around a corner until someone feeds you (do you see any needles) a pint of blood which will instantly restore all health? In a real combat situation can you put a helicoptor rotor assembly in your backpack and continue to move around and fight? In a real combat situation are you not able to smash someone with the butt of your weapon? In a real combat situation do you move your wrists only slightly while using your fingers to press keys to kill someone? Don't throw the realism argument at anything. This is a fucking game. I've looked around, but maybe not extensively enough. The only controls I saw were over music, sound effects, voice, and maybe ambience, but nothing about footsteps. Maybe theres a config file I could modify to turn up that class of sounds though? Looks guys, I'm not trying to start an argument. The fact is you should be able to more freely change the volume of different effects in any application. I was looking for constructive suggestions, but at this point I'm thinking I won't get any nor is there currently an actual way to do this.

It should be possible and more people should want such a feature. You're all just making instant judgements based off of a lack of understanding of how others play games. (A) If I can't hear my friends I don't enjoy the game. (B) If I can't hear footsteps I don't enjoy the game. In the current state I can't hear both my friends and footsteps therefor I can't enjoy the game. I shouldn't have to sacrifice hearing footsteps in order to avoid being an antisocial hermit.
