actually, if you look further into the pending update post, you'd see rocket states the clothing that is no longer spawning and the ghillie/camo is most definitely still spawning, since I picked up my own camo and ghillie in the exact same cafe in Bere just this afternoon.

umm I remember it turning up in the FPSGuru interview with Pokket, was fairly late in the interview. EDIT: 51:10ish, initially talks about JRSRS mod, but then expands that "sound mod alters audibility levels, which screws with dayZ" which to me suggests Rocket has most certainly looked into it.

no there are definitely still hackers in the NZ/AU communities, in fact had a server port incident occur on NZ 7 just lastnight. While perhaps not as prevalent as in some areas of the world, they are still there.

Rocket actually covered this in an interview this week. While he would love to allow support for it, it screws with the audibility system in Arma II (which would cause zombies to become even more tragicly flawed).

time to throw a spanner in the works of this one. Here in New Zealand, which is where Rocket is from, we use both Zee and Zed in a near inter-changeable way depending on place and circumstance. That said, the main dominant pronunciation is Zed (for example NZ is pronounced N Zed), except in the instance of a single unconnected letter, then we use Zee (such as Day Zee or the Alphabet song)

just a note, sandy bridges are now discontinued... may want to step up to the ivy bridge CPU's. Yes you can get similar performance out of the 2500k as you can say the 3570k ivy bridge, but your also limiting performance gains from future upgrades on your GPU. As to the 480, to be frankly honest the performance on them is seriously underwhelming, You would be better off looking at a 580 or higher or even better yet a 680 (which would also match with an ivy bridge CPU and PCIE 3.0... Oh and the supposed lack of performance gain on pcie 3.0 is misleading, the current cards are dialed back at a driver level while makers are finding the proper sweet spot on performance at a code level) As to going aftermarket cooling, considering going with a corsair closed loop water cooler. I'm betting that your looking at the cooler with intentions to overclock, so the closed loop will give you the best results, especially with something like an H80-H100 model. Power supply, 650 may do, but realistically it doesn't give you room for upgrades or changes in needs. 750 gives a better buffer but again the final choice is really going to come down to what your final rig is. Just don't skimp on the PSU, a budget PSU will kill a rig faster than any single item. Oh yeah, Ram... Look into G.Skill, its arguably among the best on the market and at a similar price. On the whole you've got a solid hold on what your going for, the rig you quoted would work fine, but I'm thinking your also looking for something that will last you a couple of years. :)

its your CPU thats killing you most of all and your ram second. The AMD X2 series is very much obsolete now with the current generation/CPU intensive games on the market. Simply put, its time to upgrade to around the i5 generation grade/AMD FX at the very least.

guess it gives me time to actually play the Arma 2 and OA single missions... I've been looking for a way to escape the infected for a time. On a side note, I hope the Dev team take as long as needed to get this resolved.

I completely agree. I'd much rather a morphine over a painkillers any day. Besides their tendency at times to be rare as can be, its inevitable that when you don't have one, you will get a broken leg by the first zombie/tree root/doorstep you come across thats at least 2 or 3 hours crawl away from a hospital (and before you say it, asking for another player's assistance is risky at best and, unless your in a very high traffic area, pointless to attempt unless you want to use global etc. An alternative to this would be the ability to fashion a makeshift splint with your hatchet, that would allow you to walk/run at half speed (just a rough figure).
