Its just a bad move feel if you know what I mean, not that im eccentric or stuck in my ways I welcome the server hoppin spawn idea, just not the locations of it, I used to stash gear when it first was implemented and if it didnt bug out or someone found it, it would be there for if I ever died so I have a jump start to move westward in a comfortable fashion it came in handy, Its just when you base build as I have been eager to do since it has been implemented, and when you have half a base ready and need loot for more supplies, mind you I had to find all the items to retrieve the supplies so I have that on me, almost full inventory, and a great log in my hands and had to logout for the sake of living IRL only to logon with a log in my hands a bunch of building gear, no weapons and on the coast, thats my only qualm with it, If only it can be set at a closest major town or surrounds would be kinder to the feet and safer for my character, overall I wasnt impressed being tossed on the coast unless I was in a firefight or mauled by wolves then so be it.

Now now dont get ya panties in a twist mate, Im in this fuckin conversation cos I wont just be in a fucking private server all the time, Thank you kindly for your concerns, I do play public, when I want to. I care about it cos that what being part of a community is all about, in case you didnt know or you walked out of that subject in school, if indeed you have even left it yet with that attitude your clearly not attributing anything constructive out of your posts. I love the darkness, enjoy the rain never abused "hopping" to get into someones base, Just for your information I spent my first 2000hrs playing in mostly public servers, I have over 3000hrs+ now go figure, I put this game to its paces that Im sure of, navigating night via stars before they went all wac, keeping under trees best I could whilst raining and on the move you really have no idea about how much I have played the survival part let alone theres now mostly pvp adrenaline junkies playin just gettin their daily few hrs fix, which is what I think this system was designed to accommodate, The real question is why the eff in Chernarus are you here for, to try munch my ass at every post like a hungry mutt?, Good luck with that and please dont quit your lovely concerns, we need that in the community. 👌👍 These are things that need to be calculated, but this current solution is not and shouldnt be long term, and if there is so much an issue, just eliminate the whole connected hive thing, sorted simple, very very simple, which I think they would be more likely inclined to do than to implement any ideas such as mine, it is the easy way not the only way but they are known to take this easy fix approach, sad to say but it rings true going from history, ideas can be improvised, BI isnt paying me so Im not going to loose lots of sleep over it but I may loose some, I enjoy this game so Im concerned on its development definately.

Regarding my spawn at your base idea, im sure it wont be hard to create parameters such as like safezones have to eliminate anyone spawning inside any base with a complete perimeter wall and can only be spawned inside if a player puts down a 1 per person sleepingbag/bed thats only able to be used logged in or out of by that one person, such as the idea with a combination lock, also they will be destructible. Major town spawns default for server hoppers without their spawn point/sleepingbag w/e. Hoppers either spawning on the street and in houses and if thats not good enough spawning on the city limits or town surrounds, in either case of the current system or a improvised one as mine people will know the spawn point co-ords for hoppers just by looking in the files, and to that we can add more randomness such as cool down timers with a switching ability, proximity checkers etc if it really gets that unbearable, but even changing the current to just a part of my suggestion like the nearest major towns or surrounds from area of logoff would be better at least, people have ideas, but Im a person who comes up with answers and sometimes answers to my own ideas (try my best anyhow) whether people listen to them is sometimes like trying to get blood from a stone or leading a horse to water but cant make them drink. Im sorry Im not 12 years old I will not be treated or punished like one as you see it as a punishment?, I see it as incomplete thought production. The main issue with this system is simple, not because of escaping the elements or the darkness, its the fact that if you spent hours and I mean hours, on the other side of the map either at your base or just loitering the forest hunting or getting building supplies or whatever the case may be, we should be able to, allowed even, to login back in the general vicinity of the area we logged out from, its that simple, If I played public servers as much as I play private ones this and this alone would make me so angry id leave the game until its rectified, to be player friendly, if I was to return to it that is, and thats putting it lightly.

Just so you know, I and a lot of others dont play on public hives anymore because of a infestation of hackers/glitchers etc.. from .62 onwards I played a few test servers and some EXP but thats about it, also judgemental assumptions fall on deaf ears, All this salt production? if there is really so much salt (feeling extra sweet myself) then start tanning business or a production line, I only used to "hop" servers when there either was nobody on it and I wanted some lone wolf aspects or when ones were full and I wanted some quick action/interaction. I take it you never read mine or the other the posts above yours before you made such comments? If you did.. great!, if not,.. Take a L(.)(.)K.

Half of this decision makes no logical sense, Sure we get the abuse and teleporting into bases part and evading night or weather conditions, but having to start back at the coast when you spent half the day on the westside (the best side) casing for a potential base location to start up and getting shitfaced tired and having to logoff and pickup where you left off the next day?,.. ugh but now I have a bloody log in my hands and sitting on the effin coast! ffs you see what Im sayin here? And also to mention the last line of your post here,.. I quote "Establishing server-specific rivalry" This doesnt sound like a friendly gesture in a meant to be friendly gaming community, it sounds like bias as Popular servers keep getting popular and mediocre ones will fade off in the sunset.. or the rich keep getting richer while the poorer get poorer type mentality, being popular private servers or official listed servers. this decision needs drastic attention The post I made regarding for the best possible solution HERE and should have others petition their support for it and or feel free to voice their concerns with any of it but not to ignore it as its a wise solution to a messed up decision if you dont mind me stating.

My dedicated servers Im 2 feet from in a rack cabinet, will look into OmegaManager see if it suits my needs. UPDATE, checked it out as soon as I saw needs steam credentials, I closed the page. Not for my needs. -
Time in game needs to be added

Hey, did you guys know that town hall clocks etc.. also actually show the time?, next time you close by to one check it. All I need to know is when the sun is close to horizon, not like I have a meeting to get to though during the day 😁 -
Yes I have heard a pistol suppressor in an open area and in a confined area and it is only accompanied by a "suppression echo" or whip crack and not a "impact echo" as the suppressed sound bounces of nearby areas but is no where near as loud, around the 120db area sometimes less for suppressors, This is what we are referring to not the actual sound as a whole, but the impact sound being the trigger for zeds and not the suppression sound, so forgive my terminology perhaps a max of 30-50meters away would be easier to understand verse the up to 800meters to 1klm away or more for a non suppressed weapon, and of course it also comes down to environment factors of how the sound is bounced, suppressed or non suppressed. I forgot to add that some suppressors can be used "wet" or "dry", so if they are wet type they are even more quieter, but im referring to "dry" type suppression.

Ive used most suppressors and on both versions EXP and stable and when you pop 1 zed close range half his mates in the town is drawn to you, In reality a suppressed weapon should only be audible from a distance of about 10-20 meters at most using a assault rifle, a pistol should be less unless a constant fire rate is made to amplify the muzzle sounds, I still think the zeds are reacting to far away , Ive seen them react from a 100m away just from a single pistol shot which shouldnt happen at all, Maybe DEV's need to tweak the zeds and maybe introduce some variants like blind zeds, deaf zeds etc.. which would make the immersion better and more inline with realism factors.

A side note, Everytime there is a server update there are default serverdz.cfg and beserver_x64.cfg files, I delete these before i update so as not to overwrite my settings, could that be your issue?

To me this is DayZ. Its a very very broad spectrum of players and play styles from one extreme to the other and round again, Ive met friendlies and hostiles, been friendly and hostile, and both in between, defended players from attackers, given medical assistance to players and fed them back to good health gave them a kit to survive and sent them on their way, Ive also held up guys stripped them put dresses on them fed them disinfectant and made them cripple, (when you could be shot in the leg and it broke making you crawl and not die) and when signs of it going nowhere then placing a burlap over their head (if they were lucky) and executing them in rows making their buddies watch before their demise also. Ive sat on top of high buildings doing sniping practice at all who entered my sights. This is what can be done in DayZ just on the player vs player decision aspect, Ive built bases had them raided murkd the invaders and ate their flesh in front of the ones who were captured to instill fear of returning to our base before meeting their end, and been on the opposite side of that as well of course, In either end of the spectrum I have been on both sides and experienced it, if you feel like your a rager (not boner) and cant deal with being intimidated and manipulated then just run, odds are you will meet the you are dead screen and not the your unconscious screen, if you have the stomach for such extremes then flow with it w/e its expected in this game as in reality make the most of it, chances are you may make friends or just more enemies either way make sure you have some time to immerse yourself well in the game as thats the only way to feel the full experience it has to offer, Im satisfied at the games diversity its meant to give you smiles then tears or vice versa in either sequence, next time you have knowledge of what could happen when you encounter players.

Are you starting the server using a .bat file with commands? Have you had the server running before? Need more info on your process for starting the server.

You make good points all of which are valid and understandable. If the enfusion engine is a prerequisite model for the Arma4 series Im assuming any added functions made to the engine to make it a viable part for the game will be made, no matter the cost as Arma4 will make it back plus more in sales according to the path of Arma3. I also want to make a tickets for bugs but every time I do its either already been made by somebody else (which is great), or my crash logs arnt there or I cant find the method of replication. Im not overly worried if there will be a roadmap or not, Im more worried about the release/return of regressed items in the game, Having those back in will make DayZ show its advancement is in motion and moving forward at noticeable pace. This is the good thing about creative criticism right here. -

None of those options I can decide on, I havnt had very much FPS drop since the enfusion engine was properly implemented to the game, I know with the old engine I would get freeze spikes and lags and desync and would smash my frames to 0-1fps for a few seconds (usually life threatening times at that), I rarely get freezes, stutters and lags now and performance is much better also (PC version), The dev team is doing well its just the amount of content is slow, given it being a small team thats not too bad at all, And patients is a virtue, that I can understand too, though its just been a long time just to get it to here and now,.... As you say there is no option to go back to the old DayZ a much needed progression definitely, I think its just the content that needs to be checked, then checked again and pushed out for us to find the bugs (if any) whilst we play quietly lol... Im sure if enfusion needs any updating/upgrading to add features it needs I doubt it would be too hard to code it into it. -

Number one thing people dont do on the internet is think before they speak/type,... all niceness aside, fuck your judgement, if your smart enough then you wouldnt of commented. Micro transactions will be the death of this game (at least to the original players, the survivalists, the veterans) Freedom of speech is what a forum kinda is for, so if there are people complaining, maybe its a sign of a real issue at hand,.. creative potential? precious time? Are you fucking joking? Thats what the devs are paid to do is use their potential and spend their precious time on this game. Im not amused at pocket pissers trying to create something thats utterly useless to the community when they dribble excrement as this.., We know the work the devs have done I see it in the files and in the gameplay and we aint knocking them back for their hard work, DayZ is only one of two games I play, 2! I have dedicated my precious time through Alpha from 0.49/0.50 to now, and its not just to keep myself amused but I actually trial and test features as well, So as you can tell Im a tiny bit annoyed, but honestly Im this way all the time, very blunt, you have made no change. Creative criticism is not intended to stimulate hate or anger, if you cant tell the context then dont comment to it, your not doing yourself any favors doing so, But again its the internet people do and say dumb shit all the time without mindfulness, either way I support the devs and their work and we as a community let them know how us the actual players rate the game (not their work) all so they may see that the majority of their players have shed light on a key issue with the devs' interests in mind, And if you didnt know, there is no relocation of coding time as they have a relay to deal with the forums, eg... DayZ Forum Team, so again Im not sure you know what your on about but I can certainly show you where you stand in regards to your comments, without resorting to a totally troll like behavior. I anticipate the games new content (well redone old content) and continue to enjoy the game with future new content being added, I really want volt back and of course throwing and I think I read something about scaling/climbing? return of all the weapons, survival aspects, tweaked realistic physics to ballistics and inertia its all in their waiting to blow our minds,.. shooting from vehicles, little bird helicopters, dead bodies not de-spawning but slowly decaying before returning to the ground leaving their gear, This is what we all are waiting for, whether it was promised or not this is some of what the players want to see in the game, all of this is without mentioning the modding aspect yet. Im sure BI has enough funding to make this game progress a bit faster, it not like they are working on ten or twenty or more titles, they can manage it definitely without low balling for micro transactions. Drops mic.....💥
