So instead of logging out on the outskirts of NWAF which would put you right into PvP, you log into the middle of the hotspot. Yeah you sure are doing it for the PvP.

Tried downloading from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php but it seems to either ask for a password or crashes. Anyone got a mirror/torrent for it?

Nice gun for killing others, not so nice for killing zombies in major towns. I prefer it over almost all of the assault rifles bar a few.

Depending how far inland you are, respawning is a possible option if your friend can hold your gear.

Stand alone game. One time purchase price. Rest don't bother me.

I'm a pretty quick learner. Was my 4th or 5th life in day (obligiatory falling off building, mauled by zombies, getting lost deaths out of the way), and I was pretty comfortable with the game. I could loot and shoot in towns. I see in side chat that a heap of different people are meeting in the church in cherno, I was close so I asked if I could join, everyone said yeah, so off I went. I was the first person to meet this guy inside the church, we dispatched the zombies that I had attracted and began waiting for the others to arrive. My new "friend" asked how long I had been playing and what I planned on doing, he asked this in white text (which I know as direct chat now). When I began typing I see his rifle point to me and you know how the rest of the story goes. Since then its a shoot on site, weather on not you are armed. I don't know what you might find, or how long you might track me for. If I can shoot you, I will. Your only saving grace will be if I don't think I can drop you quickly and you haven't seen me.

PvP kills are rare due to the fact that unless you get a clean shot/burst on them, they log out not awarding you the kill. Would love to see some stats based on proximity to gunfire/bullet damage vs connections dropping.

New zombies are a good thing. Hope they make them harder TBH.

I liked his idea of being covered in blood for a few hours that he briefly talked about on Rezzed TBH. Have blood covering arms and body for say 24 hours or 3 hours total in game time?

A friend and I were in the firestation by powerplant in Elektro. Just as we were about to leave to the barn 3 guys roll around the corner, and we are stuck in the little tool shed. I drop one with an AK74 kobra, get killed myself, and my friend finishes off the other 2. My friend takes position up on the roof to cover my body until I return. Just as I come up over the hill he tells me to hang back as someone is around. I tell him there is actually 2. They have a firefight but one manages to climb up behind him as he dropped to the lower level roof. As soon as I see the other guy climb the roof I start sprinting to the roof myself, as there is no way in hell my friend could defend against 2 angles. Anyway he goes down and they both start looting his body on the lower level roof to the north of the powerstation. I manage to also start looting his body while the others are. I managed to loot his makarov... 2 to the head of the guy to my right, rest of the mag into the guy to my left. 8 kills between 2 of us in 30 mins (I killed 1 in supermarket, 1 in church (he almost killed me, broken leg >1000 blood), he killed 1 in town firestation.
