I tried to find a thread on this, but cannot find one. What is the difference between regular, veteran and expert Day Z servers?

I have the game installed. Lol@ all of you not reading my post about me ALREADY playing. I was talking more in general of just OA and Arma mods. If you would have read, and not jumped at the chance to sound intelligent which you failed at. You may have noticed I had already said I was playing the game, hence.. it's installed. :o

I am honestly speaking more on behalf of the mod system for how things are done in such for Arma 2, and Operation Arrowhead. The system could be alot more user friendly and easy to setup. Instead, I have to google setup and help guides to correctly place files to play a game. Some poeple may like this, but all it is, is wasted time playing with files when they could of made a, click this button for auto install. That's what I expect when I pay for something. I really hope Arma 3 makes the system a little less of a headache. I would rather play the game, then spend a week reading guides to figure out how to install and launch mods and how to keep things organized. It's a major pain.

Seriously. I am new to the Arma series and wow is this shit complicated. I know how to play games, but I am not familiar with editing files, and placing folders and doing alot of crazy shit just to play a game. Just try and go play Arma OA, with custom missions that require 12 mods that you don't even know how to launch. This shit has been a major headache for me. This is 2012, shouldn't there just be an easy button?

Same thing happening to me as well. Only way to fix it is to kill yourself and start over.

So I've been playing all night. I almost died to a rock glitch and was at around 4k blood. I hunted for food and got my blood back up to 12k. A friend wanted to play on his server where he has a vehicle, so I logged and went to his server. About 30 mins afterwards he had to leave. So I logged to my server. 5 minutes afterwards, I had to go eat dinner so I logged. Then I logged in after dinner and I every-time afterwards I log in unconscious with a 3 to 4 minute timer? Wtf? This is going to get me killed.

Yah this is still happening. I've tried to log out and in to test it. Every time I log in with a 5 minute or so timer. 12,000 blood, and no issues. I even took pain killers to try to remedy the problem with no avail. This is not awesome and making the game more harder then it needs to be. Seems to only be happening on my main server which is where my tent is.. awesome. x_x

How often can you play? My friend and I play a bit for around 6 or 7 hours a day and if you can't keep up with us you will be returning alone most times. Do you have a headset and a mic? Can you download mumble to use teamwork with us? If you said yes to all these questions we can take you into our crew, me and my irl friend are starting a survival group, but you must play a good portion of the day and have a working mic.

I installed Arma II, Arma II OA and ARMA II PM to my E drive, which is a large regular sata mechanical drive. I want to move the DayZ mod to my drive A, which is my Sata 3 Corsair SSD. Is this easily done? I own all steam copies of Arma II.

Welcome to Day z. The game is meant to be hard, and realistic. This is after all, survival. If you break your leg in real life, it doesn't magically heal. You'r lucky morphine even fixes this. It's just part of the game, usually if you break a leg, you're done. Just die, and move on and learn from your mistakes.

I've seen tons of people doing this and it really breaks the game at this point. People can just run into a town, agro all the zombies in the town, ditch them for enough time to do a escape/abort/disconnect and they instantly leave and all zombies vanish. Players are also doing this in gunfights and coming back in 3 mins later and killing others, (including myself.) The game needs a 10-30 second period that it takes to disconnect, and if somebody exits the game via task manager force close, they should not leave the game till after said timer expires. Not sure if this is possible, but currently at this state of the game, it is game breaking, alot of people are using it to exploit the game and we need a fix right away.

So my friend and I have been traveling together and have survived our first night and not been shot. Carrying a m24, camo clothing and a silenced pistol, and himself carrying a m4 w/ flashlight and gillie suit, we really don't want to particularly play without each-other and fall to a bandit alone. Sometimes we are on different schedules, and I want to play, but we agreed not to play till we both are on. Can I make a second character so I can play while my friend is not around?

I myself don't like to exploit. I love the immersion. I love restarting over if I die, I just want to be able to play a separate character and leave the other 1 with my group of friends. There has to be a work around this.

Found a m24 sniper riffle with a bipod. I never played Arma 2 much. I noticed some players were able to place their bipod to stabilize their aim, and also able to zoom in and out. Also I am hunting animals and using it to scout out buildings and not player kill, so don't be afraid to share some info. Friendly :)

Okay. How do you adjust the zero in game?

I see tons of videos on youtube, highlighting this game and saying it's the best zombie survival ever and to play it with friends. That is what lead me to buy this game honestly. Well me and my friend, have spent over 2 hours trying to find eachother just to get shot in the back of the head by a bandit. Guess what? Another hour or longer marathon sprint to find town locations and try to meet up again. About4 hours into the game, only met up once and died to bandits 3 times and died to zombies 7 times or more. End result? Friend quits and doesn't want to play anymore and says the game is bad. I bought his copy, out 20 dollars I kinda feel what he is saying. There needs to be a way to group together to spawn on eachother so groups can "EASILY" get together and survive. I know you are going for the ULTRA HARDCORE OMG UR GONNA DIE zombie game, but in msot cases this is not fun. I could of kept my friend around longer on the game if he had not been frustereated to the point of slicing your wrists sounds more fun then logging into Day Z and marathon sprinting across 25 miles of open area to group up only to make a simple mistake and agro a zombie, to eventually bleed to death because you start with no weapon? WTF how are you people doing co op with friends?
