Servers all say Bad Version for me, Six Updater updated to the Correct Version I would Expect, because i see some servers with just a few people, i just hope it isnt server hosts being @#$%'s and changing there files, and just having them and there buddies run around collecting all the stuff, aka helis then the rest of us, get to join for the scraps later. All speculation but, still...

    Well this was a shame there was only 5 people on the server and we made up 2 of those spots, so you feel that in all in chenarus that you wouldn't be found and we were like there's a guy. We only killed because there was a chance a car could have been there and we were heading to that same town, we took the initiation of Kill or be Killed. We felt bad because of his bad luck, Wrong place at the Wrong Time :rolleyes:

    Really what im gonna do is just have it as a transport, for gear. Drop friends off 500-900m away somewhere and so on. question is where to hide it.

    Camo Clothing Inventory Wipe (1.7.2)

    Just happend to me today, I just put on my camo spawn in ocean for a sec, then telly back to my original postion... But when i teleported back to my original postion i was swimming in the ground, and yet after that, wasnt wearing camo... and lost all my main gear, cept for backpack and Tools... :/

    Hatchet!

    The hatchet i would believe is not as overpowered as others may seem to be, using the hatchet outside in my experience is ridiculous zeds hit you twice and their warpyness makes the axe derp and miss even though hes in front of you. Although in buildings, yeah well... The zombies speed is a walk, axe or not unless your out of ammo or in some unconceivable way you cant d/c, chances are your gonna live. :P On terms of DMG. I understand this is a game and that is just dandy candy :rolleyes:. But lest not throw realism out the window. If your hit with an axe, even a dull one its gonna #!@%$#@ hurt if not kill you. But If the is sharp enough axe can chop down a tree or branches for wood :@, then i can kill a zombie in one hit, Undead or not unless their clothes are lined with lead, im pretty sure there just flesh that will be cut down.... But A wear down system of the axe, Like after X zombies the Axe is Y sharp, and you could go to a near by pond and clean to keep rust off or a rock to sharpen and restore its sharpness to an optimal level, but eventually it would turn to an almost useless item. (just an idea) Aside all this, Axes are ridiculously easy to find out of the 14 barns i ran into today, 5 of them had more then 2 hatchets and 6 of them contained 1. There commonitry (made of up word :sleepy:) is almost spam like... On another note You ever tried chopping down a tree or a BRANCH with a dull axe!     Axes And our Guns

    As we all know as of 1.7.1.5 we get axes on our tool belts and can be used as a weapon. I believe that have the axe as a PRIMARY weapon is a little too excessive. Not do to overpowering issues one might think but space. First off, I have a Winchester and say it takes up 10 slots (Not to mention Ammo :dodgy:) of space in ones bag. Well due to a known issue/glitch/bug (whatever your fancy), if you don't have enough space in your bag to hold your weapon it disappears. Which can be a serious pain, and especially painful when its like a m1014 or a M16 etc. [solution] Quickest Make The axes be equipped as sidearm, i rather deal with 4 bag spaces instead of 10. :-/ //// Satisfactory Have your primary switch its slot to the tool belt, where the axe resides and have the axe move primary and vice versa, as long as the axe, is equipped You cant drop it, or switch it with anything else, until you have it in your back in your tool belt and your primary back into your hands to minimize exploits. :) //// Perfect Have your axe to be equipped separately, in a way that you pull out your weapon from your tool-belt where it resides while using EX: I have a zombie in a house, shooting my gun is too loud. so i go to gear, down to tool belt and select equip on my axe, my shotgun goes to my back, not bag where the axe is now equipped in my hand, While the axes slot from my gear hasn't moved from its tool-belt slot. (could also be helpful for newly spawns to use flashlight). Also Have it so to have you cant equip your guns back or anything else until the axe has been unequipped to again, prevent exploits or even bugs. :D I realize the coding 2-3 would be a pain in the ass, if even possible. But i would hope for it to be done so i don't have to worry about dropping my weapon in a loot pile every time i want to use my axe as a melee wep. These are my suggestions, Got any better ones? :huh:

    Searchlights and Alarms.

    I like the Idea and would support it, i could imagine the alarm to be a decoy device. Put it on one side of the airfield and turn it on remotely, which creates a sound at beyond the normal level like (11-12 or even 10). This would attract almost the entire airfield of zeds. Also, The Alarm would need health, so its not CONSTANTLY supplying sound. when a zombie would hit it 2-3 times it would break or simply fall back into 2 parts again. and with the new hot fixes the zombies would investigate around that area for awhile, while you go get some loot. Search lights would need another tier of visual like the alarm making possibly 8-9 or higher visual level for zombies to detect to keep balanced. Zombies may have bad sight but not blind. so there's always a tradeoff. Also for the generators, i think is a good idea but in most areas not practical. Unless dayz made a new model and coded a build for it. because Ive seen the default generators in editor and i have to say it is quite to big to simply put in your backpack. not only this but rendering the usefulness of these ideas near 0 if you have to lug around a huge generator. [solution] Have the search lights and alarms have some sort of battery source. (not talking AA bats either.) some uncommon-sorta rare loots found around the game. Maybe Car batteries with cables that could fit in your tool section of your gear that would rig to the objects. They would drain like the water and food meters on us (except at a much faster rate). This could be down by via scroll wheel with message of "Recharge" or "Replace bats". using an a generic animation (maybe using the pickup or bandage animation) and done! Although i will say i expect many many bugs for this, for it will require some scripts. Not to mention new items to place into the fray and spawn in different locations.
  15. Yeah zombies Detection radius for sight alone is ridiculous, i wasn't at least 100m away crouch running (no exaggeration) and they immediately aggro ed me. Hatchets so far i noticed to be fine, but when ur in the open field and try to hit a zombie in front of you it misses like 3 times while ur getting hit. :@ but when there walking inside i 1 hit swing kill them with 100% accuracy. My opinion is to make hatchet a side arm. :D overall, the zombies make entering towns unbelievably hard, and losing zombies can be a chore due to the fact that they aggro real fast, so when i do just lose like say 9 if i even attempt to go prone to get away they still see men from 30-40m. :huh: NOT a rant:@ just FEEDBACK :) (Not to mention the seeing through walls still a problem)

    Yes!!!! thank you Rocket, ii have just 1 question.... will the melee weapons be pratical? (in killing, silence, speed etc) i have for one do not wish to swing an axe 3 times to kill a zed :dodgy:, nor do i want it to be as slow as molasses (<-- spell fail?) if you catch my drift. Otherwise i thank you for your hard work i remeber playing when there was only 5-6 servers up :blush:, and look at what has blossomed . i just now decided to make a forum account on this patch, just because i truly believe you deserve the praise for your hardwork :P
