US 524 - Bulls**t by admins or hackers?

Teams definitely "hog all the stuff" which is why that's where you should look for vehicles, at player camps in remote areas. Northeast, northwest, at the dam. Of course, vehicles get stuck and crashed all the time so you will find them randomly in towns with shitty roads as well.

    Snipers

This works really well actually. Its not always THAT easy to find one (unless maybe your server hopping or something) but bandit snipers will typically have all the best goodies and you know about where you can find them. Sometimes they will be out of range of the pistol where you have to have a rifle to get them however (factory roof, hospital roof etc.). Another problem is that many of them are also hackers and will just respawn with full gear or ignore your gunfire and destroy you. If you can get the kill its always monster loot.
  3. You sound alot angrier than the OP to be honest. And it seems you were lying about not understanding what is being discussed. Really you should maybe go outside and relax or something because all you are doing is raging about not wanting to discuss something while discussing something.
  4. I can offer you tutoring in reading comprehension if you need it that badly.
  5. In my opinion, It is you sir who should shut the fuck up if you do not want to discuss this topic. There are other threads in which you can express your rage and contribute at the same time.
  6. The hacking is not uncommon at all. I personally witnessed hundreds of player deaths to hackers this weekend. So, the argument that goes "Its not that common get over it I hardly ever see it" is false. You have been fortunate, nothing more. The OP does make it sound like its over and settled when the game is under construction, which is clearly not true, however this is general discussion, and he is just discussing how the hacker ruined his game experience. Just because you do not think it should have ruined his experience does not change the fact that it did, and he would like to discuss it. I do not think its necessary to flame him for using the discussion forum as intended, even if the game can clearly be fixed despite his hopeless tone.

DayZ Staff: Start doing something about hackers. Now.

I agree that hacking is the worst thing about Day Z's gameplay. It does ruin the experience. It is also true that the cheat prevention software is responsible for the direct policing of script and not the concern of the developer per se. However, this is important feedback that must be relayed to the team, they won't know how rampant and serious the hacking is (its really bad, I get killed by hackers about once every 5 hours or so of gameplay) if nobody tells them. Also, the hackers are putting out new hacks every week, it might help to let them know exactly what kind of exploits we are dealing with. Having strong security built into the games architecture IS CERTAINLY in the realm of what Bohemia can do, especially when they are already popping the hood on the games code to improve Day Z.

    Has Anyone Seen this Man?!??!

I disagree, this game is not boring in my opinion.

    Has Anyone Seen this Man?!??!

No I don't think you can just shoot him. This is the latest hacking suite, players shown on map, teleportation, invulnerability. I would expect they use the axe because it kills quickly and never runs out of ammo. Saw this on a Dallas server this weekend, killed everyone on the server even in the remote wilderness. He attacked 3 of us (probably not the same guy but same hacks at least) and killed me almost instantly before i could shoot, my teammates filled him full of bullets and he did not even slow down, chopped them up too. There is also the heat seeking nuclear strike hack going on still which killed everyone a couple of times on the same server. In fact, this weekend hacks are the only thing that killed our group. I noticed battleye rolling out updates over the weekend but that did not seem to help it was still going on last night. Pretty crazy stuff, most games have safeguards in place against the most outrageous kind of hacks, though you always have those pesky aimbots and wallhacks. Never seen hackers with the power to nuke everyone or mass teleport every player etc. I have heard code guys say that its pretty much impossible to stop hacking in Arma and that likely this problem will always exist. I hope that they are wrong.

    Pending Hotfix: Build 1.7.1.5

+1 to this as well, swimming should be a viable escape option. "[93958] New: Dropping items while swimming can be disabled with "enableItemsDropping = 0;" in description.ext ^ latest beta patch notes. pretty please Rocket,"

    Pending Hotfix: Build 1.7.1.5

Good fix list, covers the major playability issues. I also liked : +1 On putting swapping pistol and flashlight in tool belt, the gun would obviously go in the holster the flashlight is removed from +1 Morphine scarcity fix (just piles of dead bodies in front of the hospitals, game is already easy mode for bandits no need to make it worse). Really, just more buildings and loot distribution in general to discourage server hopping/camping. Never fails to disappoint coming across a small cabin in the woods at night but unable to search it and take shelter from the rain. Alternatively, making broken bones much more rare is also a fix (albeit not as cool as using stuff to fix them). I think perhaps a combination of the two. Either way, no one likes crawling for hours doing nothing else.
