Yes it still works the same way, blunt items like axes, crowbars, chainsaws, ect. Will leave 0-40% or so. Sharp items like knives leave around 80-90%, and the can opener does 100% all the time. But I don't see the need to have another can opener when we already have one. Sure it would be cool, but useless.

Editing PBO files is something that is frowned upon and is considered cheating. It would've been a great way to edit textures, or do exactly what you said, but some players removed their PBO files to shoot through walls and see other players through the buildings.

I don't see this being too helpful considering you can open a can with almost every sharp/blunt item you find across Chernarus. Sure it would be a nice feature but combat knives in military bases seem to do almost the same thing. Or just carry a 1 slot can-opener. Good Idea though.

In my personal experience with Exile, Overpoch, PUBG, and DayZ Standalone (all games which I've used autorun hotkeys in) it's kinda pointless, in Epoch/Exile it can be helpful because not too many people are in the middle of nowhere and most action happens in cities or airfields, in Standalone I get most of my action in the middle of the forest when I'm not expecting it. I've tried using autorun hotkeys in the past and they normally lead to death because I was so laid back and not paying attention, just letting my character run for miles.

Considering that i've found more FAL's, UMP's, VSS's, and SVD's than I've found the hunting backpack. There is an issue XD I absolutely love the way this thing looks, I find them on people that I kill all the time, but I have only found around 10 of my own. I know they spawn in the small hunting stands that have the stairs on them. Where else do they spawn, and is there a trick for getting them to spawn more at those stands in certain locations of the map?

I was VAC Banned today because of Reshade. Do you think BattlEye will detect this and give me a global ban for it. I used it back in .60 when Reshade was simply an overlay, now it has an in game menu to configure settings in reshade. Like bloom, lens flares, and HDR. Since VAC detected it as a cheat menu (I think) then will BattlEye, or is this completely safe to use. Some of my friends also use it and I've been using it for weeks.

This one I inspired from the Hero skin from DayZ ArmA 2 Mod. I don't know where this one sparked from, just thought it looked cool. (Also a reminder, I would've preferred if I didn't have the AKM, and if I had the Black High Cap on the first hero skin) I used this second one in DayZRP, and the first one was my go-to outfit when I found the shirt and hat. For you though, I would wear something that doesn't stick out too much. Majority of players that wear stuff like that are PvP junkies. I saw a guy at Balota Airfield yesterday on the GentsofNovo server wearing red raincoat and some other easily distinguishable gear, but his friend had a gun and I lacked the material to restrain them so I had to shoot both of them in the head. (Keep in mind, my 2 friends and I were in Full Ghillies with GP-5 gas masks and AK's) Bonus looks: (Friendly to Fish) (Relaxed Press) And last, but not least "Cheeki Breeki" (Looks better with the Ushanka, but I didn't get any screenshots with it.)

To be honest, you don't need a PC build that expensive for DayZ.

Hey everybody, nobody knows when .63 is exactly going to drop, but it will be soon. This is what to do if you don't want to miss .63 the second it drops! Right click DayZ, go to properties, go to BETAS, and select "experimental - Unstable testing version". That way when the new experimental update drops for .63 your DayZ will download it instead of having to check if it is up. You can still join all of the other 0.62.141072 servers. Don't worry experimental shouldn't be receiving extra updates until .63 releases though (I'm not too sure about that though). If you are like me and you have plenty of games on your Steam library, turn DayZ to High Priority so it updates first Head to Steam, DayZ, properties, UPDATES, and Automatic updates should be on "High Priority - Always auto-update this game before others". When .63 does drop, in the server browser select the filter of (Proper version match) and you should find the experimental servers. This doesn't currently show only experimental because .62.141072 is experimental and stable. Here is a nice screenshot I got while trying to revive Reshade on DayZ Have fun surviving in Chernarus, see you in .63!

Recently on steam I have seen that DayZ went to mostly negative, it has hit this point before, but honestly I don't think 80% of the negative reviews are legit. Majority of them are trolls saying memes about "Early Access" or something among the lines of lag/desync. I've even seen some that go as far as marking bad reviews for "I gave a guy a gun and he killed me." I haven't made a review for DayZ myself yet, but if I made one it would be a positive one, listing the pros and cons. Like a review should be. I think Steam should make it where you must clock over 100 hours in a game to review it, or at least something among those lines. Seeing people with 5 hours or less on the game mark the game negative because their favourite streamer/Youtuber says the game is bad is terrible. I can't even avoid these trolls whilst watching my favourite content on YouTube. I scroll down into the comments and find so much hate for the person that creates the video just for playing DayZ. I really do adore the game, and the development team as been at one if it's highest recently. (Keep up the good work devs, just remember there is no rush, it takes years to make a great game.)

So at first the new ghillie suits looked a little bad, but DayZ Dev Team has found a way to make them work once again. As long as you aren't directly above the ghillie. Here are some screenshots from the GentsofNovo server yesterday with my friend. In my opinion, if you guys were to tone down the different colors in the ghillies and make them a little bit more dull, since they are supposed to be used to prone down in grass, and the grass isn't multicolored. It kinda just has 1-3 shades. That would be great if you guys could change them again possibly, I remember the old ghillies from the first and second .62 patch, they worked great because they were just 1-3 shades of green, now they have a lot of brown and orange in it. It's kind of a bummer when you spend a lot of time collecting burlap just to get spotted by a "torpedo bambi". Anyways, keep up the good work. Hope to see .63 this year and more .62 patches out!

I wouldn't really use the feedback tracker for this, it's not really a bug. It's more of a mistake. *Edit* I already saw a few posts on the feedback tracker about the gun wrap being black so I didn't decide to post another. (Even though it wouldn't hurt to do so anyways)

Okay, they were both mods for ArmA 2, actually DayZ Battle Royale was a mod for DayZ. That is the only thing you can compare about them.

When I first watched the video and left my comment "You can't even compare PUBG and DayZ though, two completely different games and that is why DayZ has mainly bad reviews. Most Triple A games take years to develop. DayZ is giving us a good experience for both the dev's and the players using "Early Access". The only reasons people complain about DayZ are normally. -Lag -"Glitches" that ties into lag mainly -Updates -Alpha -Community I honestly can't stand seeing bad reviews on DayZ because of community, "I gave a guy a gun and he killed me". I honestly can't stand seeing bad reviews on DayZ about Alpha, developers of games can decide any time when to say their game is finished/beta/alpha. For example (Grand Theft Auto V still gets monthly updates, does that mean that it is finished, or still in progress) I can agree they don't update it as frequently as they should but when they do, the updates are normally huge. PUBG has had the same formula for years since H1Z1 and the ArmA mod. Pretty Good Gaming compares PUBG and DayZ a little bit too much. They use it as a crutch for BG compared to DayZ I argue these points with a lot of people and it all cuts down to if you like DayZ or you don't. I've been playing DayZ for years and I am patient for it to grow as a game. Most people haven't played DayZ recently (The footage they showed in this video was from release in 2012/13). The game has had major changes since then. Majority of people I tell to sincerely play DayZ with a good thought of mind (People who trash it and haven't played it in years) are normally surprised of where it is currently. It still does have plenty of bugs and problems but, don't all games." The only replies I got are saying "Completely different, how?" The video had 10k views when I watched it 3 days after it came out but, the fame he got because of that video is horrid. Most of the top comments are calling him out for lying about the game in the video. Jakon's comment describes the video the best. "It's so hard to listen to these idiots compare DayZ and PUBG. They're different, that means you cannot compare them gameplay wise. I've been playing DayZ since the first week when it released on Steam, I've built a successful YouTube and Twitch channel off of the game. What I can tell you is these people don't have a clue what they're on about. I've read every status report and the furthest thing from the truth that you could say about the dev team is that they have no idea what they want to do. This idiot is spreading false information for views because it's easy. Go back to 1000mph fidget spinner videos, they're easier and you don't have to lie to your audience." All of the people that reply to his comment are calling him a "dicksucker" or a "fanboy" of DayZ.
-
This is a prime example of my point. Youtubers like this spread lies about DayZ, even going as far to show VERY early footage of DayZ, yet they show new footage of PUBG and try to compare the two.

DayZ has went under several massive changes that affected this 4 year alpha stage. New devs, Rocket, and the new renderer. As well as I have seen them block people who had "a bad opinion" very rarely. The only people I have seen forum banned or blocked are obvious trolls that haven't touched the game in years and want to spread "lies" about the game's current state.
